Linking Nitzavimโ€‘Vayelech to Roshโ€ฏHaShanah & Yomโ€ฏKippur

ื ืฆื‘ื™ื ื•ื™ืœืš and the Rebbe brings out the second half of the ืฉื™ื—ื” is the similarity between ื ืฆื‘ื™ื ื•ื™ืœืš to ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. It brings out what ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is, so the second half is what really counts. I just made because it's a long ืฉื™ื—ื”, so I didn't want to make the whole thing. I made only the second half. Okay. Talked before about this ื ืฆื‘ื™ื and ื•ื™ืœืš and explained that by ื ืฆื‘ื™ื we find the ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืื—ื“ื•ืช of ืื™ื“ืŸ together, that's what ื ืฆื‘ื™ื is, ืืชื ื ืฆื‘ื™ื ื”ื™ื•ื ื›ื•ืœื›ื, you are all standing together ืจืืฉื™ื›ื ืฉื‘ื˜ื™ื›ื, your heads and all the people. On ื•ื™ืœืš, it says also ื•ื™ืœืš, it says ืžืฉื” went and he spoke ืืœ ื›ืœ ื™ืฉืจืืœ, to all the ืื™ื“ืŸ. So, it also talks about all the ืื™ื“ืŸ being together. So, we'll start from here: ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ื ืฆื‘ื™ื ืื•ืŸ ื•ื™ืœืš ืื™ืŸ ืขื ื™ืŸ ื”ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ this idea, the ืคืจืฉื” ื ืฆื‘ื™ื and ืคืจืฉื” ื•ื™ืœืš in connection to the unity of, among ืื™ื“ืŸ, ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ืชื•ื›ืŸ, this is what the Rebbe brought out in the first half of the ืฉื™ื—ื”, that's the meaning of ืคืจืฉืช ื ืฆื‘ื™ื and ื•ื™ืœืš, the unity of ืื™ื“ืŸ. By understanding the difference in ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, that'll also give us an understanding better in the difference of ื•ื™ืœืš, but the main part, this part of the ืฉื™ื—ื” is about the difference between ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. And

Understanding the Roshโ€ฏHaShanah vs Yomโ€ฏKippur Split

we'll this will be understood when we understand the difference between ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ in the ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื. In the ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื. What's ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื? We know that it says in ื’ืžืจื that the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ says that on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, "I'm asking you to make me king." That's the main thing of ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. The Rebbe explains in many ืฉื™ื—ื•ืช that the main thing of ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is it's the day that we accept ื”ืฉื as king. So, it's even higher than doing ืžืฆื•ื•ืช. Doing ืžืฆื•ื•ืช already accepting specific things. I'll do this, I'll do this, I'll put on ืชืคื™ืœื™ืŸ, I'll do this. This is the general idea: I accept You as king. That's what ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is. And that's what ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is, also. ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is when we generally are connected to the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ essentially, which is beyond, even before and higher than this specific connection that comes through doing what the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ wants. So, he says when we'll look at the difference in this ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื, the way it's in ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and the way it's in ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, we'll see the two sides. ื•ื•ื™ ื“ืขืจืžืื ื˜, as he mentioned before, ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ืื•ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ ืื™ื™ืŸ ื ืงื•ื“ื”. ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ both have one point, both one point. And it actually says, ืชืืงืข, that ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ sometimes ืชื ืดืš is called ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. It's like all one continuation. Yeah.

From Roshโ€ฏHaShanah to the Ten Days of Repentance

ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื ืคื•ืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, we know like this, that this that we make ื”ืฉื as our king on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ืฆื•ื–ื™ืš ืื• ื‘ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, it happens, it starts on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, but it takes time. It goes out around throughout the whole ten days of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” ื‘ื™ื– ืฆื• ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช ืœื’ืžืจื™ ื‘ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, and when does it come to its completion, to its climax, to its stop? It's on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. Therefore all ten days of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” we say ื”ืžืœืš ื”ืงื“ื•ืฉ because that's when we make ื”ืฉื king throughout all ten days. ื ืืจ ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ืื™ื–, but the difference between the way we accept ื”ืฉื as king on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” versus ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is like this: ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื’ืขื˜ืืŸ ื“ืขืจ ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื ื‘ืฉื•ืจืฉื• ื•ื‘ืงืจืงืข ืจืืฉื•ืŸ. This on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we cause ื”ืฉื to become king all the way up there, in the source, in the root of everything. What we do down here, we cause ื”ืฉื to want to become king. ื”ืฉื, where He is in the higher worlds all the way there, we cause Him to have pleasure in being the king and wanting to be the king over the world, over the ืื™ื“ืŸ. ืื•ืŸ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ ื”ืื‘ืŸ ื“ืขื ื›ื— ืฆื• ืคื•ืขืœืŸ ื“ืืก, and ืื™ื“ืŸ have the power to affect all the way up there to make ื”ืฉื in His source, the way He's up there, to become king. ื“ืขืจืคืืจ ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ื–ื™ื™ ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืžื•ืฉืจืฉ ืื™ืŸ ืขืฆืžื•ืช, because ืื™ื“ืŸ come from there. When you want ื”ืฉื to become king, that means you're reaching into the essence of ื”ืฉื. Why could we reach into the essence of ื”ืฉื? Because that's where we are from. We are essentially one with ื”ืฉื. We are in the essence of ื”ืฉื. That happens on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. And the next days that already is a lower level. We know that this concept of ืžืœื›ื•ืช of ื”ืฉื, you have later on in the lower world in ืืฆื™ืœื•ืช you have ืกืคื™ืจืช ื”ืžืœื›ื•ืช and you have to build it up. So, ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we go all the way to the source. Then during the ten days of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” we do that same thing in a lower level, in the ืขื•ืœืžื•ืช. ื‘ื™ื– ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, comes ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, ื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื‘ื ื™ืŸ ื”ืžืœื›ื•ืช ืื™ื– ื‘ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช, then you complete the building of the kingship of ื”ืฉื ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ืขื ื™ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื ืื™ื– ื“ืืŸ ืžืื™ืจ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”. Then it comes on all the way down here. So, that's the way it works: starts on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” in the highest levels, goes out to ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” in the lower levels, provided in ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ it comes down here. Down here, ื”ืฉื is our king. ื•ื•ื™ื‘ืืœื“ ืื– ื“ืขืจ ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื ืื™ื– ืžืขืŸ ืคื•ืขืœ ื‘ื™ื– ืขืกื™ืฃ ืจืืฉ ื™ื•ื ื“ื•ืจืš ืื—ื“ื•ืช ื™ื™ื“ืŸ, since we know that how do you you cause ื”ืฉื to become king. If we are united all together, when ื”ืฉื sees that ื”ื™ื•ืช ืž'ืื™ื– united, that will cause him to become king, ืื™ื– ืคืืจืฉื˜ืื ื“ื™ืง, so we understand, ืื‘ืขืจ ื”ื™ื™ื‘ื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืึทืจื•ื™ืก ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ืื•ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ, ืžืขืŸ ื’ื™ื™ื˜ ืžื™ื˜ ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื, so obviously what we explained before, the difference between ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ in the in concerning this ื”ืฉื becoming king, ืขืœ ื“ืจืš ื–ื” ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื‘ืฉื™ื™ื›ื•ืช ืฆื• ื“ืขืจ ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืืœืข ืื™ื“ืŸ.

Different Levels of Unity on the Two Days

The same difference is in the ืื—ื“ื•ืช in the unity of ืื™ื“ืŸ. Since that ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื comes through ืื—ื“ื•ืช, through ืื™ื“ืŸ being united, and since there are different levels in this ืชืžืœื™ื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื, one is on the higher level and a lower level, and that ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is very up there and ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ comes down, so the ืื—ื“ื•ืช of ืื™ื“ืŸ is the same. That there are different levels in the ืื—ื“ื•ืช of ืื™ื“ืŸ. ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is one level of ืื—ื“ื•ืช when ืื™ื“ืŸ are united, and ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ is the one that comes down. So it's not an individual accepting Yeah, it's it's well, yeah, but when all the individuals together do it, then it becomes the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ accepts it. So it's like a lot of individuals becomes a a ืฆื™ื‘ื•ืจ. So ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”, is it lower or higher ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”? It's higher. Higher. It's a it's it's it's a bigger ืขื ื™ืŸ. Higher, it's lower, it comes down here, ืœืžื˜ื” is lower, but it's a bigger ืขื ื™ืŸ. And the ืืœื˜ืขืจ ืจื‘ื™ will explain. To do it up there is not such a big thing. To have the ืื—ื“ื•ืช down here, that's a big thing. So he says like this. He explains that the ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืืœืข ืื™ื“ืŸ ืื™ืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, the fact that all the ืื™ื“ืŸ are united on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, is ื‘ืขื™ืงืจ is their ืื—ื“ื•ืช is ืœืžืขืœื”. That's the way we are all united up there, in ืฉืจืฉ ื•ืžืงื•ืจ, in the source. And the truth is we are all one, it says in ืชื ื™ื ืคืจืง ืœ"ื‘, all the ืื™ื“ืŸ come from one source, we're all one. ืื•ืŸ ืื™ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ, ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื“ื™ ืื—ื“ื•ืช ื ืชื’ืœื” ืœืžื˜ื”. In ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ, this ืื—ื“ื•ืช comes down here. And we ื˜ืึทืงืข know, actually in the ืžื—ื–ื•ืจ, one of the ืคื™ื•ื˜ื™ื we say, a day that people don't hate each other, people that don't fight with each other, unfortunately sometimes you find it too in ืฉื•ื”ืœ, on ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ you have it, no, but it's a day that That's one time of the year where, unfortunately, in ืฉื•ื”ืœ you have all the fights, this is Not the fights. You may find one individual, but ื‘ื›ืœืœ it's a time it says, ืื™ืŸ ื‘ื• ืฉื ืื” ื•ืœื ืงื ืื”, you know, you don't fight, it's ืื—ื“ื•ืช, but it's ืื—ื“ื•ืช down here. ื•ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ืขื™ืœื•ื™ ืฉืœื ื‘ืขืจืš ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ ืœื’ื‘ื™ ื“ืขืจ ืขื™ืœื•ื™ ืคื•ืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. And this is the specialty of ื™ื•ื ื›ืคื•ืจ over what ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is. The ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืืœืข ื ืฉืžื•ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ ืื™ืŸ ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ืฉืจืฉ ื•ืžืงื•ืจ, you the fact that all the ืื™ื“ืŸ in their source are all united, ืื™ื– ื ื™ื˜ ื‘ื“ืจืš ื—ื™ื“ื•ืฉ ืœื’ืžืจื™, ืื•ืŸ ื•ื•ืืก? ืก'ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืื–ื ื‘ื™ื’, not something you know, it's a big ื—ื™ื“ื•ืฉ, not something new, it's obvious. ื ืืจ ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ื“ืืจื˜ ืื™ื– ืœื›ืชื—ื™ืœื” ื ื™ื˜ื ืงื™ื™ืŸ ืฉื•ื ืคื™ืจื•ื“ ื•ื—ื™ืœื•ืงื™ ืžื“ืจื’ื•ืช. It's a level where there are no differences. It's a high level, so automatically such a big thing to say, you know, they're all united up there, so obviously they're all united. Because it's a place where there are no When do you When is there a When When would it be a ื—ื™ื“ื•ืฉ to say, "Oh, they're united"? If they're different and they still go together, that's something. But there's no difference. ื›ืขื’ื•ืœ ืฉืื™ืŸ ื‘ื• ื‘ื—ื™ื ืช ืจืืฉ ื•ืกื•ืฃ, like a circle. You say a circle has no beginning and no end, and no no no not not not one is more than the other. It's a big deal, because there is no beginning and end. So you if you want to don't want to have a table nobody should sit in front, you have a round table. So they're all equal. They're all equal. Why? So and that's not big If you have a round table that no one is sitting up front and someone is sitting in the back, there's no front and there's no back, they're all equal. But that's that's done up there. So but that's not such a big thing. It's simple. ื“ืขืจ ืืžืช'ืขืจ ืื•ื™ืคื˜ื• ืคื•ืŸ ืื—ื“ื•ืช, the real greatness of ืื—ื“ื•ืช of unity is, ื•ื•ืขืŸ ืžืขืŸ ืžืื›ื˜ ืคื•ืŸ ืคื™ืจื•ื“ ืื—ื“ื•ืช. Make what? ืคื•ืŸ ืคื™ืจื•ื“, separation, when there is a separation and you make that into united into union. ื•ื•ืขืŸ ืžืขืŸ ื˜ื•ื˜ ืื—ื“ื•ืช, when you bring ืื—ื“ื•ืช ื“ืืจื˜ ื•ื•ืื• ืขืก ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ื“ื ื—ื™ืœื•ืงื™ ืžื“ืจื’ื•ืช ื•ืคื™ืจื•ื“, where there are different levels, and everyone is different and everyone is separate, and you unite them. ืื•ืŸ ื“ื•ื•ืงื ื“ื™ ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืคื™ืจื•ื“, and only this specific ืื—ื“ื•ืช that comes in a place where there is ืคื™ืจื•ื“, where there is separation, there is differences, and you make ืื—ื“ื•ืช, ื“ืจื™ืงื˜ ืื•ื™ืก ื“ื™ ืืžืช'ืข ืื—ื“ื•ืช ื”ืคืฉื•ื˜ื” ื“ืœืžืขืœื”. That really is the real shows the real unity of ื”ืฉื. Only because of the ื›ื— of the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, he could take from something that's many and turn it into one. And that's the greatest thing. So the greatest ืื—ื“ื•ืช is not when there is only one, it's when you seemingly have many and they turn into one. That's a bigger ืื—ื“ื•ืช. In ื—ืกื™ื“ื•ืช it always says the difference between ืื—ื“ and ื™ื—ื™ื“. When we say by ืงืจื™ืืช ืฉืžืข, ืฉืžืข ื™ืฉืจืืœ ื”' ืืœืงื™ื ื• ื”' ืื—ื“, ื”ืฉื is one. What do we mean he's one? He means he's one, there's nothing else. So why do we say one? We should say single. One means one, doesn't mean it can't be two. You could have one, you could have a second. When you say, if you want to say he's the only one, you say ื™ื—ื™ื“. Like you say someone has an only child, you don't say he has a ื‘ืŸ ืื—ื“, he has one son. He could have 10 children, so this is one, this is two, you say ื™ื—ื™ื“. So why does it say ืื—ื“? So the answer is for this reason: if you say ื™ื—ื™ื“, you're saying that there is no world. The ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ is the only thing. What you want to say is, no, in a place where it seems to be more than one, ืื—ื“ shows that it's a possibility of more, and over there, he's one. And that's the greatest ืื—ื“. The same thing by ืื™ื“ืŸ. If you stack it, all the ื ืฉืžื•ืช are ืœืžืขืœื” up there, we're all one, no big deal, but down here, all one, that's the big deal. ืึธื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ื›ื ืดืœ. It all falls up on one day over here. No, from there it's ื ืžืฉืš for the whole year. We hope it's ื ืžืฉืš for the whole year. ืึธื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง Is that the ืžืœื›ื•ืช? The ืขื ื™ืŸ of at the end of ืคืกื•ืงื™ ื“ื–ืžืจื” and and and ืฉื•ืคืจ? What do you mean, when, ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”? Yeah, ืžืœื›ื™ื•ืช ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืชื ื—ื•ืžื where does ืื—ื“ื•ืช come in here? But the ื’ืžืจื says that it doesn't talk about ืื—ื“ื•ืช there. No, it's not in the ื’ืžืจื, this is ื—ืกื™ื“ื•ืช. The ืขื ื™ืŸ of ืชื ื—ื•ืžื is ื—ืกื™ื“ื•ืช? That's from the ื’ืžืจื. But ืชื ื—ื•ืžื is connected to the ืื—ื“ื•ืช of ืื™ื“ืŸ, that's the beginning of the ืฉื™ื—ื”. We've been learning it. Right, oh, it's all in the beginning of the ืฉื™ื—ื”, okay. ืึธื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ื›ื ืดืœ, ื“ื™ ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืื™ื“ืŸ ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ืื•ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, this difference in the ืื—ื“ื•ืช of ืื™ื“ืŸ between ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ ืฉืคื™ื’ืœื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืืค ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื‘ื™ื™ ืฉื™ื™ื›ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืขื ื™ืŸ ื”ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”. It mirrors itself, you could see it in the difference in the concept of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” the way it's on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and the way ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” is on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. And you'll see in that difference the this difference that we said before whether it's ืื—ื“ื•ืช some place up there or ืื—ื“ื•ืช down here. ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ื–ืื’ื˜ ืžืขืŸ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื•ื™ื“ื•ื™ื™ื ื›ื™ื“ื•ืข. ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, it's a day of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” obviously, it's one of ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, but we don't say any ื•ื™ื“ื•ื™, we don't say ืืฉืžื ื•, you're not allowed to say ืืฉืžื ื•, it's like ื™ื•ื ื˜ื•ื‘. Even in ื ื•ืกื— ื—ื‘ืดื“, in our ื ื•ืกื—, in ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื•, on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we skip a few pieces. A regular ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื•, how does it start? ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื• ื—ื˜ืื ื• ืœืคื ื™ืš, on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we don't say it. Later on it says a few ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื•'s, a few lines about ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, we don't say it on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. Which by the way someone mentioned to me that when we sing ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื•, you have to keep in mind that before you start singing you have to say the first one. Say ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื• ื—ื˜ืื ื• ืœืคื ื™ืš. The ืจื‘ื™ always when the ืจื‘ื™ would make to sing, the first thing, you could see, would go like this, because ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื• ื—ื˜ืื ื•, no, when you open the ืืจื•ืŸ, ืื‘ื™ื ื• ืžืœื›ื ื• ื—ื˜ืื ื• ืœืคื ื™ืš, and then you start singing because it's the second one. But on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we don't.

Why No Confession on Roshโ€ฏHaShanah

ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is ื™ื•ื ื˜ื•ื‘, and ื™ื•ื ื˜ื•ื‘ you're not allowed to say ืชื—ื ื•ืŸ. So we don't say ื•ื™ื“ื•ื™, we don't say all this. In the ืชืคืœื•ืช ื•ื›ื•ืณ of ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื“ืขืจืžืื ื˜ ื“ืจืš ื•ื™ื“ื•ื™. When you ื“ืื•ื•ืขืŸ ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” and you look at what you're saying in ื“ืื•ื•ืขื ืขืŸ, you don't find in a form of confession ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื—ื˜ืื™ื, you don't speak about ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, ืื•ืŸ ืืคื™ืœื• ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื“ื™ ืกืœื™ื—ื” ื•ื›ืคืจื”, not even asking Hashem forgiving you. It's a day of ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, but we don't mention it. The main thing we talk about is the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ's ืžืœื›ื•ืช and the ื”ื ื”ื’ืช ื“ื™ืŸ, all things, but the fact that we're doing ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” and we're asking Hashem to forgive for ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, we don't mention, almost not. ืžืฉืืดื› ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is a ื™ื•ื ืกืœื™ื—ื” ื•ื›ืคืจื”, you feel this is the day that Hashem forgives us, ื•ืžืžื™ืœื ื–ืื’ื˜ ืžืขืŸ ื•ื™ื“ื•ื™, we say ืืฉืžื ื•, we say ืขืœ ื—ื˜ื. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื˜ืขื ื”ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ื™ืฉ ืœื•ืžืจ ื‘ื“ืจืš ืืคืฉืจ, what's the difference, why on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we don't and on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ we do? On ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” the main ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” is that you shake yourself, you move move the it is ืžื•ืฉืจืฉ in ืขืฆืžื•ืช. In other words, it's a connection that a ืื™ื“ has to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” that and a ื”ื–ื–ื” means, ื”ื–ื–ื” ืขืฆืžื™ืช is it's an expression in ื—ืกื™ื“ื•ืช. I don't know if you want to explain it. ื”ื–ื–ื” means to shake. It's a ืžืฉืœ from, it says it's based on the ื–ื•ื”ืจ, it's a ืžืฉืœ of a chicken. A chicken when it rolls itself in dirt and it gets full of sand, and try to take off the sand, try to pick it out. You can spend ten year a year until you get everything out. The chicken gives one shake, everything goes out. So because you're not dealing with with details. We're dealing with just one thing. ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, it says it's a time when we give one shake to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ and we're saying, we accept Hashem as King, we're not dealing with details, we're not dealing with I did this ืขื‘ื™ืจื”, this ืขื‘ื™ืจื”, I have to do It's a general thing connected, I'm a ืื™ื“ and I'm connected to Hashem. That's what it ื ืืš ื”ืขื›ืขืจ ืคื•ืŸ ืฉื•ืจืฉ ื”ืชื•ืจื” ื•ื”ืžืฆื•ื•ืช, which is higher than the details of ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ื•ืช, this is the highest root because we know the connection of a ืื™ื“ to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ is higher and deeper than the connection of the ืชื•ืจื” to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ. Because it says in ืžื“ืจืฉ that both are before the world, which means ืชื•ืจื” and ืื™ื“ืŸ are both higher than the world, close to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, closer than anything else, and then the ืžื“ืจืฉ asked, and between the two, who is higher? And the ืžื“ืจืฉ says the ืื™ื“ืŸ are higher. So the ืื™ื“ืŸ are ืžื•ืฉืจืฉ, we call them they're rooted in the ืขืฆืžื•ืช of Hashem. So why do we, so then if our connection is is closer than ืชื•ืจื”, why why do we have to learn ืชื•ืจื” to get closer to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ? It's a different ืžื“ืจื’ื”, there's ืื™ื”ื• ื•ื—ื›ืžืชื™ื” ื—ื“, ืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื... ืื‘ืœ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™! I'm not going into it, we explained it many times. It says in ื–ื•ื”ืจ that three knots tied together: the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, ืชื•ืจื”, and ื™ื™ื“ืŸ. So the ืžืคืจืฉื™ื ask: if you have three things tied together, you only have two knots. You have three things, but not three knots! You have three pieces of string, and you tie the three together, how many knots do you have? Two. Oh, so the answer is, it's a circle. And what's the ืคืฉื˜? So you have the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, ืชื•ืจื”, and ื™ื™ื“ืŸ. So the ื™ื™ื“ืŸ are on one side connected to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, and the ืชื•ืจื” on the other side. So a ื™ื™ื“ is connected to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ without the ืชื•ืจื”. On the other hand, this way he's connected through the ืชื•ืจื”. And the same thing the ืชื•ืจื”, the ืชื•ืจื” is connected to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ direct and it's also connected through. So we have two ืขื ื™ื ื™ื. We have the way it's ื‘ืืžืช, ื‘ืขืฆื, then we have the ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. A ื™ื™ื“ is ื‘ืขืฆื connected with the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ. In order to bring out that connection, you have to have ืชื•ืจื”. That's the ืžืฆื•ืช. You see, otherwise this could could I'm going to go away into it, I don't want to spend time. We have a ืฉืืœื”: why should you be ืžืงืจื‘ every ื™ื™ื“? To make him go, put on ืชืคื™ืœื™ืŸ, make him Other people say, don't, he's a he's a guy he doesn't don't, why don't you let him go? What do we say? First, a ื™ื™ื“. He's a ื™ื™ื“, he's connected to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ whether he did ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ืช or not, he's connected. So the reason we're ืžืงืจื‘ him to do ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ืช is because it makes no difference if he does ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ืช or not. That's what you're saying! Saying no matter what, whether he learns ืชื•ืจื”, does ืžืฆื•ืช, he's still a ื™ื™ื“, and because of that, we have to bring him to do ืžืฆื•ืช. That's the whole ื•ื•ืืจื˜. Because he's a ื™ื™ื“ ื‘ืขืฆื connected, and the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ wants that connection should be ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. So that's why we have to do ืžืฆื•ืช, so he should be ืžื’ื•ืœื”. Okay, let's go ื•ื•ื™ื™ื˜ืขืจ. ื•ืžืฆื“ ื“ืขื ืžื“ืจื’ื” ืื™ื– ืœื›ืชื—ื™ืœื” we're talking about, we're talking about very high levels, a connection of a ื™ื™ื“ to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ in high levels, you don't have to ask to be forgiven for sins. In that level, there are no sins. Because the whole concept of a sin is only in a lower level that you don't do what the person Like the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ like a ืžืฉืœ of a parent with a child: there's two types of connections. One is like, this is your child, finished, and there's a connection there. And then there is you want him to behave, and if he behaves properly, you connect yourself, you like him. In that first connection, with that the fact that he's your child makes no difference how he behaves. Yeah behave, misbehave, it it doesn't count. He's your child, no matter what. Same thing here, on ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” is the time when we connect all the way up there, so we don't have to ask to be forgiven for ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, because there are no ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช in at that level. ื“ืขืจื™ื‘ืขืจ ืื™ื– ื“ืืŸ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืฉื™ื™ืš ืฆื• ืจืขื“ืŸ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ืกืœื™ื—ื” ื•ื›ืคืจื”, so you can't talk about forgiveness. ืืคื™ืœื• ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ the ืžืขืœื” of ื–ื“ื•ื ื•ืช ื ืขืฉื•ืช ืœื• ื›ื–ื›ื™ื•ืช. You don't even talk about doing ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, ื•ืžืžื™ืœื my ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช will all turn into ืžืฆื•ืช. You don't even talk about that. ืฉื“ืขืžืืœื˜ ืื™ื– ื“ื™ ื‘ื—ื™ืจื” ื—ืคืฉื™ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืขืฆืžื•ืช ืื™ืŸ ื ืฉืžื•ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ, in a ื™ื™ื“. It's the time when a ื™ื™ื“ chooses ื”ืฉื just because he's a ื™ื™ื“. That's why ื”ืฉื wants to become our king. The king is also the the essence. It's not accepting it says it's a higher ืžื“ืจื’ื” than accepting ืžืฆื•ืช. On ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” there is ืงื‘ืœืช ืขื•ืœ means accepting ืžืฆื•ืช, that's not this. Accepting ื”ืฉื as king is deeper than that. You're the king. First you have to accept the king, then you can do what he wants. You can't say, I'm going to accept to do what you want. He'll say, you have to make me king first. The ืžื“ืจืฉ says what the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ by ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”, the first thing ื”ืฉื said: ืื ื›ื™ ื”ืฉื ืืœืงื™ืš, ืขืฉืจืช ื”ื“ื‘ืจื•ืช, I'm God, your God. Why did he say that? It's a ืžืฉืœ of a It's a ืžืฉืœ of a king conquered a country, as soon as he came into after he defeated and he won, comes into the people, the people greet him and say, ื ื•, tell us! Give us some ื’ื–ื™ืจื•ืช, tell us what to do! So he says, wait a second. First accept me as king, and then I'll think about what to tell you to do. Same thing, first thing ื”ืฉื says after ื™ืฆื™ืืช

Divine Connection and Yom Kippur Forgiveness

ืžืฆืจื™ื: ืื ื›ื™ ื”ืฉื ืืœืงื™ืš, I'm your God. Accept, then I'll tell you. So that's something beyond and before the ืขื ื™ืŸ of doing ืžืฆื•ืช. That's the general thing. And then, when a ื™ื™ื“ connects himself just essentially to ื”ืฉื, that says ื”ืฉื, now I'm going to be your king. That's ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”. What happens in in the ืขืฆื of ื”ืฉื, when a ื™ื™ื“ connects to ื”ืฉื on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, that comes down here. ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ืืจื˜ ื•ื•ืื• ืก'ืื™ื– ืฉื™ื™ื›ื•ืช ื—ื˜ืื™ื, down here where it's possible to do ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช. And down here where we are able ื—ืก ื•ืฉืœื•ื to do ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, that's where we say the ืขืฆื of ื”ืฉื is there and forgives us. ืžืฆื“ ื“ื”ืชืงืฉืจื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืขืฆื ื”ื ืฉืžื” ืื™ืŸ ืืœื•ืงื•ืช ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื ืชื’ืœื” ื‘ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, because of the essential connection a ื™ื™ื“ has to the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ which works on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ down here in us, ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื’ื•ืคื ื“ื™ ื›ืคืจื” ื•ืกืœื™ื—ื” ื•ื—ื˜ืื™ื, here is the forgiveness and ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช. But here we do talk about forgiving our ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช, because down here there are ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช. ื“ืืก ื’ื™ื˜ ืื™ื™ืš ื”ืกื‘ืจื” ื•ื”ืžืชืงื”, this gives an explanation and makes it deeper to understand, ื•ื•ืืก ื“ื•ื•ืงื ืื™ืŸ ืœื™ืœ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ night, ื“ื•ื•ืงื the only time of the year which is the night of ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, the ืžื ื”ื’ is ืฉืงื•ื“ื ืฉืžืชืคืœืœื™ืŸ ืžืชื™ืจื™ืŸ ืขื ื”ืขื‘ืจื™ื™ื ื™ื, before we say ื›ืœ ื ื“ืจื™, there's a certain paragraph, sort of two lines that the ื—ื–ืŸ says: ื‘ื™ืฉื™ื‘ื” ืฉืœ ืžืขืœื”, ื‘ื™ืฉื™ื‘ื” ืฉืœ ืžื˜ื”, ืžืชื™ืจื™ื, ืžืชืคืœืœื™ื, ืขื‘ืจื™ื™ื ื™ื, whereas we're allowing to daven with people who transgress. The only time of the year when we mention that we're ืžืชื™ืจ, we allow to daven with people who transgress. Why do we have to say it then? ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we don't have to say it, because ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” we're ืœื›ืชื—ื™ืœื” on a level which makes no difference here whether you do ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช not, because we're talking about the essential connection which a ืื™ื“ has like a child to a father, the essential fact that you're a child, no matter what. So whether you did ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช or not, we don't talk about it, it's not part of it. Now on the other hand, it's hard to daven with them. But then to become united with them, it's hard. Because the bottom line is we're reach reaching a high level, but the bottom line down here, they're people who are not doing ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ืช, so it's hard to feel united. ื“ื•ื•ืงื ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, that's when you come to the real thing of all ืื™ื“ืŸ being united, ืื– ืืคื™ืœื• ืื™ื“ืŸ ื•ื•ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืื•ื™ืฃ ื“ืขืจื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ืฆื™ื•ืจ ืคื•ืŸ ืขื‘ืจื™ื™ื ื™ื, even Jews who so so far they're still transgressing the ืชื•ืจื” ื•ืžืฆื•ืช, ื•ื•ืขืจืŸ ืžืชืื—ื“ ืžื™ื˜ alle ืื™ื“ืŸ and they're all united together, ืื™ื– ืžืชืคืœืœ ืขืžื• ื‘ืื’ื•ื“ื” ืื—ืช, we daven with them in one group. Because of what we said, that on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ it's unity of all the ืื™ื“ืŸ, and whatever happens, the greatness of ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ even comes down here in the level the way it's down here, ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ืขืก ื“ืขืจื™ื‘ืขืจ ืื•ื™ืกื’ืขื“ืจื™ืงื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืืจ ืื™ืŸ ืขื ื™ื ื™ ื”ื ืฉืžื”, ื ืืจ ืื•ื™ืš ืื™ืŸ ืขื ื™ื ื™ ื”ื’ื•ืฃ. That's why ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ expresses itself not only in spiritual matters that has to do with the ื ืฉืžื”, but also with things of the body.

Five Afflictions of Yom Kippur Equalize All

Where do we see that? In the ื—ืžืฉื” ืขื™ื ื•ื™ื™ื ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, in the five things that you're not allowed to do on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. And there are five things that ื—ืžืฉื” ืขื™ื ื•ื™ื™ื: you can't eat or drink, and you can't you can't ืจื—ื™ืฆื”, you can't wear shoes, you can't smear, and you can't have relations. So these are five things that you're not allowed to do on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. In these things, ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื“ื ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ืื™ื™ืŸ ืื™ื“ ืื•ืŸ ืฆื•ื•ื™ื™ื˜ืŸ. All ืื™ื“ืŸ are the same. When it comes not to do something, everyone is the same. In a ืงื™ื•ื ืžืฆื•ื”, in a ื—ื™ื•ื‘, when it tells you to do something, ืื™ื– ื ืขื ื™ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ื ืคืขื•ืœื” ืคื•ืŸ ืขืฉื™ื”, a ืขื ื™ืŸ that you have to do, ืื™ื– ื“ื ื—ื™ืœื•ืงื™ื in der ืžืขืžื“, in der ืžื“ืจื’ื” of the ืงื™ื•ื. Then there's a difference between ืฆื“ื™ืงื™ื and an ืขื•ืœื, ืื ืฉื™ื ืคืฉื•ื˜ื™ื. How do you do it? You have to bentch, let's say, some people do it with great ื›ื•ื•ื ื” with great intentions, and some people do it very simple, there's differences. But a ืขื ื™ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืขื™ื ื•ื™ ื•ืฉื‘ื™ืชื”, things that we stay away, stay away from eating, stay away from this, ืื™ื– ื“ืืš ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื ื™ืฉื˜, ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื”ื™ื™ื‘ื˜, ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ื ื™ืฉื˜, ืื™ื– ื“ืืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืฆื•ื•ื™ืฉืŸ ืื™ื™ืŸ ืื™ื“ ืื•ืŸ ื ืฆื•ื•ื™ื™ื˜ืŸ. When you don't do something, there is no difference. Isn't the ื›ื”ืŸ ื’ื“ื•ืœ different than different things he had to stay away from, always before, he had to... No, that's a preparation, but on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ itself, no, but this is... On ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, he doesn't have anything different? No. No. ืื–ื•ื™ ืื•ื™ืš ื‘ืคื ื™ืžื™ื•ืช ื”ืขื ื™ื ื™ื, the same way when you look deeper, there's a ืคืกื•ืง it says, "ืœื—ื™ื•ืชื ื‘ืจืขื‘", you give him life with hunger. That means all year we get our sustenance from eating, on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ we're supposed to get our sustenance from not eating. ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ื•ืช ื•ื•ืืก ืงื•ืžื˜ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ืจืขื‘ ื’ื•ืคื, any sustenance you get from not eating, ืื™ื– ื‘ื™ื™ ืืœืขืžืขืŸ ื‘ืฉื•ื”, everyone... the not eating is everyone equal. And it says on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ that's what you're supposed to... The ืœืฉื•ืŸ the ื‘ืขืจื“ื™ื˜ืฉืขื•ื•ืขืจ said, the difference between ืชืฉืขื” ื‘ืื‘ and ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, ืชืฉืขื” ื‘ืื‘ ื˜ืืจ ืžืขืŸ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืขืกืŸ. ืชืฉืขื” ื‘ืื‘ you're not allowed to eat. On ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, ื•ื•ื™ืœ ื–ื™ืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืขืกืŸ, you don't want to eat. Because you're in a level that you get ื—ื™ื•ืช from from from not eating.

Fasting Tale of a Sick Man on Yom Kippur

Famous story with with ื—ื™ืกื™ื ืกืงื™... This was definitely not in the... Huh? This was definitely not in the... A ื˜ื™ื™ืขืจืข story with a guy... What's his name... Huh? So like, no, by ืœืขืงืืš. He had he was sick and they cut off part of his stomach, he had to eat every three hours, a ื“ืืงื˜ืืจ. The first ืชืฉืขื” ื‘ืื‘ after he had this operation, he told my father he didn't he couldn't last through the night. He had to eat, by the time it came to 1:00, 2:00 in the morning he had to eat, I mean it's impossible. Now, getting to ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, so there's no choice, he has to eat, but who a ืื™ื“ wants to eat on ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ? So, he went by ืœืขืงืืš ืขืจื‘ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, and he told the ืจื‘ื™ a ื‘ืจื›ื”... so the ืจื‘ื™... told the ืจื‘ื™ his whole story. So the ืจื‘ื™ says: ื–ืืœ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืœื—ื™ื•ืชื ื‘ืจืขื‘! Parashat Nitzavim: Unity of All Jews

ืคืจืฉืช ื ืฆื‘ื™ื, it talks about unity of all the different ืื™ื“ืŸ. ื•ื•ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ืงื•ืžืขืŸ ืฆื•ื–ืืžืขืŸ, ื•ื•ืขืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ื“ืขืžืืœื˜ ื ืฆื‘ื™ื ืœืคื ื™ ื”' ืืœืงื™ื›ื. In ืคืจืฉืช ื•ื™ืœืš, it talks about the ืžืฆื•ื” of ื”ืงื”ืœ, that once in seven years all the ืื™ื“ืŸ had to gather together, and the ืžืœืš, the king would talk to them. ืคื•ืŸ ืื™ื™ื ืข ื–ื™ื™ื˜ ื–ืื’ืŸ ื—ื–''ืœ, on one side ื—ื–''ืœ come and tell us, ืื– ืื ืฉื™ื ื‘ืื• ืœืœืžื•ื“, ื ืฉื™ื ื‘ืื•ืช ืœืฉืžื•ืข, ื˜ืฃ ืœื™ืชืŸ ืฉื›ืจ ืœืžื‘ื™ืื™ื”ื. It says men, women, and babies, little kids come. Says why? Men come to learn, the women come to hear, and the children? So that the ones that the parents who bring them should get reward. He spoke of everything. But the ืจื‘ื™ ื˜ื™ื™ื˜ืฉื˜, the ืคื™ืจื•ืฉ ื”ืคื ื™ืžื™ in that means, the deeper ืคืฉื˜ ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื, till their end, not the end of the ืฉื™ืจื”, ืื– ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื ืื™ื– ืžืœืฉื•ืŸ ืชืžื™ืžื•ืช ื•ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืื™ื“ืŸ, till he made them complete. They say this a story, to make a long story, a ืคื•ื™ืœื™ืฉืข ืจื‘ื™, I forgot already, a ื—ื•ื–ื” or somebody, somebody came to him, a ื—ืกื™ื“ from a different ืจื‘ื™ happened to come by him this time of the year. So he said, "ื ื•, did your ืจื‘ื™ say a ืชื•ืจื” ืคืจืฉืช ืคืจืฉืช ื”ืื–ื™ื ื•?" So he said, "Yeah." "ื ื•, could you tell me over?" He said to him, "My ืจื‘ื™ said this: when it says that ืžืฉื” spoke to them ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื, so my ืจื‘ื™ said the ืคืฉื˜, ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื." He said, "Oh, a ืžื•ืจื'ื“ื™ืงืข ืคืฉื˜." "What was the ืคืฉื˜?" That's what he said to him: "ืคืฉื•ื˜ is ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื, till then. So he said ืขื“ ืชื•ืžื, till the ืื™ื“ืŸ become ืชืžื™ืžื™ื." That's how he ื˜ื™ื™ื˜ืฉื˜. And that's what the ืจื‘ื™ says here: the ื“ื™ื‘ื•ืจ ืžืฉื” ื‘ืื–ื ื™ ื›ืœ ืงื”ืœ ื™ืฉืจืืœ, when ืžืฉื” spoke to all the ืื™ื“ืŸ together, is ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืืจ to say ืขืฆื ื”ื ืฉืžื” ืœืžืขืœื”, he didn't speak to the ื ืฉืžื” the way it's up there and there he spoke to them all together, ื“ืืก ืงื•ืžื˜ ืืจืืค ืื™ืŸ ืคื•ืขืœ, ืชืžื™ืžื•ืช ื•ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช ืื™ืŸ ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ื›ื—ื•ืช ื”ื’ืœื•ื™ื, ื‘ื™ื– ืฆื• ืืœืข ืื‘ืจื™ ื”ื’ื•ืฃ, that it brought ืื—ื“ื•ืช in the way the ืื™ื“ืŸ are down here. And this is what ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is about, bringing down the unity of ืื™ื“ืŸ, and also as they say, bringing down Godliness. Into this world down here. That's the ืกื“ืจ starting from ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื”, ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ. ื“ื™ ื”ื•ืจืื” ืžื›ืœ ื”ืืžื•ืจ ื ื•ื’ืข ืœืคื•ืขืœ, the lesson for all this ื ื•ื’ืข ืœืคื•ืขืœ is like this: ืขืฉืจืช ื™ืžื™ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื”, all these 10 days from ืจืืฉ ื”ืฉื ื” to ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, ืื™ื– ื ื–ืžืŸ ืžืกื•ื’ืœ ืฆื• ืžื•ืกื™ืฃ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืื™ืŸ ืื”ื‘ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ, is a special time where you could add in ืื”ื‘ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ. ื‘ืฉืขื” ืื– ืขืก ืื™ื– ื ืกืคืง ืคืฉืจื” ืื•ื™ื‘ ืขืก ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช, if we all get together, but it's not complete, ืขืก ืคืขืœื˜ ืื™ืŸ ื“ื™ ืื—ื“ื•ืช ืžื™ื˜ ืืœืข ืื™ื“ืŸ, it's missing in the unity of all ืื™ื“ืŸ, ืขื ื•ื•ืืก ืคืืจ ื ืžืขื ื˜ืฉ ืขืก ื–ืืœ ื ืืจ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ, makes no difference with who, any type of ืื™ื“. Love for Every Jew as Spiritual Goal

love to every Jew has to be ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืืจ ืื– ืžืขืŸ ื–ืขื˜ ืžืขืŸ ืคืืจืงื•ืงื˜ ื“ื™ ืขื ื™ื ื™ื ืจืขื™ื, that we say the ื‘ืขืจื“ื™ื˜ืฉืขื•ื•ืขืจ was a ืžืœืžื“ ื–ื›ื•ืช, you excuse whatever, that now you have to have ืื”ื‘ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ like this. You have to look at every Jew, not only, you should know what, overlook his bad, person is a bad person, you have to love him anyway. How do you love him? You just overlook, okay, he's bad, but I overlook it. That's not it. ืื– ืขืจ ื–ืขื˜ ืœื›ืชื—ื™ืœื” ื ืืจ ื“ืขื ื˜ื•ื‘ ืฉื‘ื•. It has to be that you ืœื›ืชื—ื™ืœื” only see the good. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจืคืืจ ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ืืŸ ืื”ื‘ื” ืฆื• ืื™ื ืื•ืŸ ืขืจ ืื™ื– ื–ื™ืš ืžืชืื—ื“ ืžื™ื˜ ืื™ื, and he has a love to him. So that's also not enough, that you say overlook his bad, I see his good, and then I love him. So the bottom line is why do I love him? Because I see good. So that's not enough. ื ืืจ ืืคื™ืœื• ื•ื•ืขืŸ ืขืจ ื–ืขื˜ ื“ืขื ืจืข ืื™ืŸ ืื™ื, you have to be the opposite. Even if you see that the badness in him, ื•ื•ื™ื™ื–ื˜ ืขืจ ืคืืจื“ืขื ืขืจ ื•ื•ื™ื™ื–ื˜ ืื”ื‘ื” ืฆื• ืื™ื ืืŸ ื ื—ืฉื‘ื•ืŸ. You show your love to him ืืŸ ื ื—ืฉื‘ื•ืŸ. Because ืขืœ ืคื™ ื—ืฉื‘ื•ืŸ makes no sense. He's no good, why should I love him? Here, even though he's no good, you should love him. And by doing that, that'll be the greatest way to affect him that he should change, not be bad. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื•ื•ืืก ืขืกืงื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืื™ืŸ ืžื‘ืฆืข ืื”ื‘ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ, who is working in ืื”ื‘ืช ื™ืฉืจืืœ in these tag, in these days, ืื™ื– ืžื–ื›ื” ืฆื•ื ื”ืžืœื›ื•ื ื™ ืขืœื™ื›ื ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, so he is ื–ื•ื›ื” that the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ becomes our king in a revealed way, ืชื›ืชื‘ื• ื•ืชื—ืชืžื• ืœื˜ื•ื‘ื”, ื‘ื™ื•ื ื”ื›ืคื•ืจื™ื ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ gives us the ืชื›ืชื‘ื• ื•ืชื—ืชืžื• ืœื˜ื•ื‘ื”, ืœืฉื ื” ื˜ื•ื‘ื” ื•ืžืชื•ืงื”, ื‘ื’ืฉืžื™ื•ืช ื•ื‘ืจื•ื—ื ื™ื•ืช, ื‘ื˜ื•ื‘ ื”ื ืจืื” ื•ื”ื ื’ืœื”. ืืžืŸ. A question about the ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”. You talk earlier that the ืฉืœื™ืœื”. Yeah. ืฉืœื™ืœื” means fasting. Gotta love your fellow Jew. But it means what? It means not eating. Does it mean by not eating or the ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื” is in a way of the ืฉืœื™ืœื”? I can't read the whole thing because of that. So it's a way of a ืฉืœื™ืœื”. In other words, a ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ is not something we can't really have a ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ, can't really have a ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ in this ืžื“ืจื’ื” down here without being something or a vibe, something that will get you That's a good ืฉืืœื”, yeah. That's a good question. Really? That is the question. Yom Kippur, so it explains, It's revealed ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”. ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”, okay. Ah, you say in Yom Kippur is ืขืœื™ืช ื”ืžืœื›ื•ืช ืœืขืชื™ืง, and the ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื” is on ืกื•ื›ื•ืช? So he says, in Yom Kippur is also ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืœืžื˜ื”, but it's in a form of a ืฉืœื™ืœื”. It's a different type of ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. Right, it's a different type of ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. But it's ืœืžื˜ื”. In other words, it's not something we can completely absorb in a In a positive way. in a positive way. There we have to reveal in a In more of an of an awe-struck way, as opposed to a In awe, you know, like a awe, like a ื™ืจืื”, ื™ืจืื”, ื™ืจืื” ืขื™ืœืื”, so to speak. Yeah, yeah, yeah. in the New York area. Yeah? Can be. He's He's settled in Deal, New Jersey. Yeah. Yeah, he definitely turned up to Chabad house. Not a Chabad house, no. The funniest thing in the world, the funniest thing in the world, not a Chabad house. In Lakewood? Oh, yeah? In fact, if you're a ื—ื‘"ื“'ื ื™ืง guy, ืžื•ื–ืจ. Nachmanson like Leib Shapiro, Nachmanson could be there. Named Leib, yeah, he's named after the same person I'm named. Is that funny or what? Could have told him that. And ื‘ืจื•ืš ื”ืฉื, he had an operation, I pushed him in a wheelchair. I'm going to have to learn this with somebody after in the morning, I don't know. So I'm going to try to walk. There shouldn't be Who's in front of ninety-two, yeah? Yeah. Okay. I'm going to I'm going to take this. Okay. It's right... Is there plenty of room? Yeah, it's right. I get to ืคืืจื‘ืจืขื ื’ืขืŸ ืžื™ื˜ ื ืžื ื™ืŸ, a ื›ืœ ื‘ื™ืช, ื›ืœ ืฉื›ืŸ ื›ืฉื™ื•ืฉื‘ื™ืŸ ืขืฉืจื”, that the ืคืจื™ืขืจื“ื™ืงืขืจ ืจื‘ื™ said. The ืคืจื™ืขืจื“ื™ืงืขืจ ืจื‘ื™ said, oh yeah, that it's 10. When you get a ืคืืจื‘ืจืขื ื’ืขืŸ, and that was all, when anytime you have a ืžื ื™ืŸ, that's where the ืฉื›ื™ื ื”... Okay, good. ื“ืขืจ ื˜ืขื ืื™ื– ืื–ื•ื™, ื“ืืก ืฉื˜ื™ื™ื˜ ืื– ืœื™ืช ืืชืจ ืคื ื•ื™ ืžื™ื ื™ื”, that there's no place that doesn't have the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ. ืื– ื“ืขืจ ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ืื™ื– ื“ืืš ืคืืจืืŸ ืื•ืžืขื˜ื•ื, he is all over. ืื•ืŸ ืื•ืŸ ืื•ืŸ ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืืก... ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ืื™ื– ื“ืืš ื’ืขื ื•ื’. And now, you're going to have the confluence of all these three things again by the ื›ื”ืŸ ื’ื“ื•ืœ. ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ is there, ื”ื™ื™ืœื™ืงืกื˜ืข ื˜ืื’ ืคื•ืŸ ื’ืื ืฆืŸ ื™ืืจ, is the holiest year, which is ืฉื ื”. ืฉื ื”.
