And the 讙诪专讗 here quotes from the 诪砖谞讛 where it said, 讜讟专讬转 砖讗讬谞讛 讟专讜驻讛. The 诪砖谞讛 mentioned these things that you are allowed to eat of 讙讜讬诐, and one of the things was pickled herring which has not been minced. In the 诪砖谞讛 before it said that if you have pickled herring and it was minced, it was chopped up, then you cannot eat it because we're afraid maybe it has some non-kosher fish in it. But if it was not minced, then this 诪砖谞讛 says then you are allowed to eat it. The 讙诪专讗 says, 转谞讜 专讘谞谉, the 专讘谞谉 learned, 讗讬讝讜 讛讬讗 讟专讬转 砖讗讬谞讛 讟专讜驻讛, what is considered 讟专讬转, pickled herring, which is not minced? 讻诇 砖专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专, as long as the head and the spine of every piece of fish is recognizable. Because then you could tell that this is a kosher fish and not a non-kosher fish, because a non-kosher fish has a pointy head and doesn't have a spine. So if you're able to see the head and the spine of every piece of fish, then you are allowed to eat it, and this is what the 诪砖谞讛 means, that if it is not minced, you are allowed to eat it. Then we
also learned in the 诪砖谞讛 that you're allowed to eat 爪讬专 砖讬砖 讘讛 讚讙讛, you're allowed to eat brine if it has fish in it. The 讙诪专讗 asks, 讜讗讬讝讜 爪讬专 砖讬砖 讘讛 讚讙讛, what is considered 爪讬专, brine of fish, that has fish in it that you're allowed to eat? 讻诇 砖拽讬诇讘讬住 讗讞转 讗讜 砖转讬 拽讬诇讘讬住 砖讜讟讟讜转 讘讜, as long as one 拽讬诇讘讬住 or two 拽讬诇讘讬住 float in it. As we learned before that if it is brine of kosher fish, then by itself 拽讬诇讘讬住 will grow in it. But if it is 爪讬专 of non-kosher fish, then no 拽讬诇讘讬住 will grow in it. So if you see one or two 拽讬诇讘讬住 in it, then you know that this is juice of kosher fish, and you are allowed to eat this 爪讬专. The 讙诪专讗 asks a 砖讗诇讛, 讛砖转讗 拽讬诇讘讬住 讗讞转 讗诪专转 砖专讬, if you said that if one 拽讬诇讘讬住 floats in it it is allowed, 砖转讬 拽讬诇讘讬住 诪讘注讬讗, so certainly if you have two 拽讬诇讘讬住 floating around. So why did it have to say that when are you allowed to eat it, if you have one or two 拽讬诇讘讬住 floating around? If one is enough, then certainly two is enough. Then why does it have to say if you have two? And the 讙诪专讗 answers, 诇讗 拽砖讬讗, it's no 拽砖讬讗. 讻讗谉 讘驻转讜讞讜转, 讻讗谉 讘住转讜诪讜转. One is speaking if it is open, and the other one if it's closed. If the barrel is open, then if you have one 拽讬诇讘讬住 floating around, it is not enough. Because since it's open, so we're afraid maybe it fell in from the outside. So it doesn't prove that this is kosher 爪讬专, because maybe the 拽讬诇讘讬住 did not grow from within the 爪讬专, but maybe it came from the outside. So there you would need two. But if it is a closed barrel, so then one 拽讬诇讘讬住 is enough. This is the way 专砖"讬 learns the 驻砖讟. But 转讜住驻讜转 says that we see from the 讙诪专讗 later just the opposite, because the 讙诪专讗 later tells a story that there was a 讙讜讬 that brought a little boat full of barrels of 爪讬专, and they found 拽讬诇讘讬住 in one of them. And the 讙诪专讗 says if they were all open then they're all 诪讜转专, if they were closed, then only in the one that they found the 拽讬诇讘讬住 is 诪讜转专, and the rest are 讗住讜专. So we see here that if it is open, there is more reason to go 诇拽讜诇讗 to say it's 诪讜转专. And according to 专砖"讬 here in the 讙诪专讗 what we're saying is just the opposite, that in an open one we go 诇讞讜诪专讗 that we have to have two 拽讬诇讘讬住, while in the closed one, one is enough. And also 转讜住驻讜转 asks that if we are afraid that it fell in from the outside and that is the reason why if it's open one is not enough and we have to have two, so why is two enough? Let's be afraid maybe the 讙讜讬 put them in. So the 讙讜讬 would put in two, and two also shouldn't be enough if we are afraid that since it's open, maybe it came in from the outside. Therefore, 转讜住驻讜转 brings in the name of 专讘讬谞讜 讗驻专讬诐 just the opposite, that when the 讙诪专讗 says here that there is a difference between open ones and closed ones, the 驻砖讟 is that if it's open, then one is enough. Because we could say that 讘讗诪转 it had two, and the reason there is only one in there now, someone took it out, it fell out, because it's open so maybe it just went away. And therefore we are 转讜诇讛 诇拽讜诇讗, we say 诇拽讜诇讗, that since it's open, we go 诇拽讜诇讗 and say it's 诪讜转专. But if it is closed, then we are not 转讜诇讛 诇拽讜诇讗, so there we have to have two. And this would fit to what the 讙诪专讗 says later on, that if it's open we're 转讜诇讛 诇拽讜诇讗, but if it's closed, we don't go 诇拽讜诇讗. But then 转讜住驻讜转 says really we could explain 专砖"讬 also, and show that there is no contradiction between the 讙诪专讗 later and the 讙诪专讗 here. Because in the 讙诪专讗 later, they really found two 拽讬诇讘讬住, but they found it in one of the 讞讘讬讜转. In our 讙诪专讗 here, the case is where you 诇讻转讞讬诇讛 found only one 拽讬诇讘讬住. So in the case where you found one 拽讬诇讘讬住, so there is more 住讘专讗 to say that in an open one we should say 诇讞讜诪专讗 and be afraid maybe it fell in from the outside, but in a closed one where it couldn't fall in from the outside, we go 诇拽讜诇讗 and we say it's enough. But over there, where we found two 拽讬诇讘讬住, so there we could say, since they're all open and we found two 拽讬诇- So there, the one they found it in you're allowed, and the other ones you are not allowed. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues,
讗讬转诪专 we learned, 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讗诪专, 专讘 讛讜谞讗 said, 注讚 砖讬讛讗 专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专. Like what we said before, that you have to recognize the fish by its head and by the spine, you have to have both. If you see the head and the spine, that's when you're allowed to eat the fish. 专讘 谞讞诪谉 讗诪专, 专讘 谞讞诪谉 said, 讗讜 专讗砖 讗讜 砖讚专讛. It is one of the two: or recognize the head or the spine, but you don't have to recognize both. Even if you only recognize one of the two, it is enough. The 讙诪专讗 says 诪讜转讬讘 专讘 注讜拽讘讗 讘专 讞诪讗, 专讘 注讜拽讘讗 讘专 讞诪讗 asked a 拽砖讬讗, 讜讘讚讙讬诐 we learned a 诪砖谞讛 in 讞讜诇讬谉 that in fish, 讻诇 砖讬砖 诇讜 住谞驻讬专 讜拽砖拽砖转, what is the 住讬诪谉 of a kosher fish? If it has fins and scales. So we see that the only 住讬诪谉 is fins and scales, and here we have other 住讬诪谞讬诐: the 住讬诪谉 of the head and the 住讬诪谉 of the spine. And it's a 拽砖讬讗 for both, whether we learned that you have to have the 住讬诪谉 of both, the head and the spine, or we learn that one of the two is enough, it is still a 拽砖讬讗, because in that 诪砖谞讛 it says that by fish, only fins and scales are the 住讬诪谉 and nothing else. 讗诪专 讗讘讬讬, 讗讘讬讬 said, 讻讬 转谞讬讗 讛讛讬讗, when was that 诪砖谞讛 said where it says that only fins and scales is the 住讬诪谉? That is only 讘注讬专讬 讜驻讜诇诪讜讚讬, concerning the fish skate and pelamys, 砖讚诪讬 专讬砖讬讬讛讜 诇讟诪讗讬诐, that their head is similar to the non-kosher fish. So in those fish, the only 住讬诪谉 that we could have is fins and scales. But other fish, there are other 住讬诪谞讬诐 also, and that is the 住讬诪谉 of the head or the 住讬诪谉 of the spine. But 诇讻讗讜专讛 one might ask a 拽砖讬讗 that what kind of answer is this? Since the answer is that we're talking about such fish that their head is the same as a non-kosher fish, but the spine definitely is different, because no non-kosher fish have a spine and all kosher fish do have a spine. So 诇讻讗讜专讛 we still should have said in the 诪砖谞讛 there is another 住讬诪谉 checking it by the spine. Therefore 转讜住驻讜转 learns that when the 讙诪专讗 asked the 拽砖讬讗, the 讙诪专讗's 拽砖讬讗 was not from the spine, because the reason it doesn't mention in the 诪砖谞讛 the spine, because the 诪砖谞讛 is only talking about 住讬诪谞讬诐 that you could see from the outside and not from the inside. So from the outside there are only two 住讬诪谞讬诐, which is the fins and the scales, but the spine, which is a 住讬诪谉 from the inside, the 诪砖谞讛 is not talking about. So therefore the 讙诪专讗's 拽砖讬讗 from the 诪砖谞讛 was 诇讻转讞讬诇讛 not from the spine. The 拽砖讬讗 was only from the head. And therefore the 讙诪专讗 answered that we're talking about these kinds of fish that their head is the same like the non-kosher ones, and therefore by these fish the only 住讬诪谉 that we could have is the fins and the scales. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues, 讗诪专 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 诪砖诪讬讛 讚注讜诇讗, 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 said in the name of 注讜诇讗, 诪讞诇讜拽转, the 诪讞诇讜拽转 between 专讘 讛讜谞讗 and 专讘 谞讞诪谉 whether you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐, the head and the spine, or one of the two is enough, is only 诇讟讘讜诇 讘爪讬专谉, only concerning dipping into the brine. You want to dip bread into the brine, so there there is a 诪讞诇讜拽转 whether you could use the 爪讬专 of this fish that has one 住讬诪谉 of the two. 讗讘诇 讘讙讜驻谉, but to eat the fish themselves, 讚讘专讬 讛讻诇 讗住讜专, everyone agrees that you're not allowed, 注讚 砖讬讛讗 专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专, unless you recognize both the head and the spine. And the reason for the difference would be even though we know that brine of a non-kosher fish is just as forbidden as a non-kosher fish itself, so what should be the difference? If we hold that by having one 住讬诪谉 you could eat the brine, then you should be able to eat the fish itself also. If we hold that you cannot eat the fish itself if it has one 住讬诪谉, then you should also hold that you cannot eat the brine if it has only one 住讬诪谉. So 转讜住驻讜转 explains the difference is because the brine would be 讘讟诇, that since it's mixed with other things, so even if it's brine of non-kosher fish, it would be 讘讟诇 in the other three things that it's mixed into. But concerning the fish itself, we cannot say it's 讘讟诇, because fish is a 讘专讬讛, it is a creature in itself, and the 讚讬谉 is that when you have a 讘专讬讛, since it is 讞砖讜讘 it is not 讘讟诇. So therefore, even though it's mixed with other things, it is not 讘讟诇. And that's what the 讙诪专讗 says, that in the fish itself everyone agrees that since it's not 讘讟诇, the only way you're allowed to eat it if you know both 住讬诪谞讬诐, the head and the spine. But concerning the 爪讬专, since it does become 讘讟诇, so there one opinion is that you still have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐, the head and the spine, and the other opinion is that one of the two 住讬诪谞讬诐 is enough. And the 讙诪专讗 says,
讗诪专 专讘 讝讬专讗, 专讘 讝讬专讗 said, 诪专讬砖, in the beginning 讛讜讛 诪讟讘讬诇谞讗 讘爪讬专讗, I used to dip in the 爪讬专. In other words, he used to dip in the brine when there was only one 住讬诪谉, because he thought that the 诪讞诇讜拽转 is concerning the fish itself, but concerning the brine everyone agrees that with one 住讬诪谉 it's enough, and therefore he relied on that, and whenever there was one 住讬诪谉 he would dip use this the brine. 讻讬讜讜谉 讚砖诪注讬谞讗 诇讛讗 讚讗诪专 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 诪砖诪讬讛 讚注讜诇讗, that since I heard what 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 said in the name of 注讜诇讗, that 诪讞诇讜拽转 诇讟讘讜诇 讘爪讬专讛, that the whole 诪讞诇讜拽转 is whether you're allowed to dip in the brine, 讗讘诇 讘讙讜驻谉, but the fish itself, 讚讘专讬 讛讻诇 讗住讜专, everyone holds 讗住讜专, 注讚 砖讬讛讗 专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专, unless you have the head and the spine recognizable, so 讘爪讬专讛 谞诪讬 诇讗 诪讟讘讬诇谞讗, so I will not dip in the 爪讬专 either. Because he 讘讗诪转 held that you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐. But he thought that this 讚讬谉 that you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐 is only concerning the fish itself. But when he heard that concerning the fish itself there is no 诪讞诇讜拽转, but the 诪讞诇讜拽转 is concerning the 爪讬专, in other words, the one that holds that you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐 is talking about the 爪讬专, and since he also held that you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐, so therefore, he holds that you can't even eat the 爪讬专. So from then on, he stopped eating the 爪讬专. Then the 讙诪专讗 says, 讗诪专 专讘 驻驻讗, 专讘 驻驻讗 said, 讛诇讻转讗, the 讛诇讻讛 is, 注讚 砖讬讛讗 专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专 砖诇 讻诇 讗讞转 讜讗讞转, that only time you're allowed to eat it is if you could recognize the head and the spine from each individual fish. The
讙诪专讗 asks a 拽砖讬讗, 诪讬转讬讘讬, I will ask you a 拽砖讬讗, we learned: 讞转讬讻讜转 砖讬砖 讘讛谉 住讬诪谉, you have pieces, and they have a 住讬诪谉, 讘讬谉 讘讻讜诇谉 讘讬谉 讘诪拽爪转谉, whether the 住讬诪谉 is in all the pieces, or you have a 住讬诪谉 only on some of the pieces, 讜讗驻讬诇讜 讘讗讞转 诪诪讗讛 砖讘讛谉, even if you have a 住讬诪谉 on one out of a hundred, you have a hundred pieces, and only one of the hundred has a 住讬诪谉, 讻讜诇谉 诪讜转专讜转, they are all 诪讜转专, because we say since this piece is from a 讻砖专 fish because it has the 住讬诪谉, so 诪住转诪讗, all the other pieces are also from 讻砖专 fish, and you're allowed to eat them. 讜诪注砖讛 讘注专讘讬 讗讞讚, and there's a story with one 讙讜讬, 砖讛讘讬讗 讙专讘 砖诇 讞转讬讻讜转, he brought a barrel of pieces of fish, 讜谞诪爪讗 住讬诪谉 讘讗讞转 诪讛谉, and they found a 住讬诪谉 in one piece, 讜讛转讬专 专讘谉 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 讙诪诇讬讗诇 讗转 讛讙专讘 讻讜诇讜, and 专讘谉 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 讙诪诇讬讗诇 allowed the whole barrel. So we see here that you don't have to have a 住讬诪谉 on each piece. So this is a 拽砖讬讗 on 专讘 驻驻讗, who said that when can you eat it, only if each piece has a 住讬诪谉. The 讙诪专讗 says, 转讬专讙诐 专讘 驻驻讗, 专讘 驻驻讗 explained it, he answered, 讻砖讞转讬讻讜转 砖讜讜转, when don't you need a 住讬诪谉 on each piece, if the pieces are equal, which means they fit one into another. You could see that when you put them together, it all makes up one big piece of fish. It's like a puzzle that it fits in. So then, if you have a 住讬诪谉 on one piece, and the rest fit together with this piece, you know that they came from this piece, from the same fish, and therefore you're allowed to eat them all. But otherwise, you're not allowed to eat the pieces unless each piece has the 住讬诪谉. But the 讙诪专讗 asks, 讗讬 讛讻讬, if so, 诪讗讬 诇诪讬诪专讗, why does he have to tell us that? If the 讘专讬讬转讗 there is talking in a case where the pieces fit together, then it's obvious that if one piece has a 住讬诪谉, then you could eat the rest. Why did the 讘专讬讬转讗 have to tell us that? And the 讙诪专讗 answers, 诪讛讜 讚转讬诪讗, I would have thought, 谞讬讞讜砖, let's be afraid, 讚讬诇诪讗 讗讬转专诪讬, maybe it happened that that really the different pieces are not from the same fish. Ah, you put them together and it fits, it just happened that it was cut in the same way, that when you put it together it fits, but really it is not from the same fish, and therefore you should not rely on the 住讬诪谉 that you found in one that you should be able to eat the rest, 拽讗 诪砖诪注 诇谉, that's why it tells us that we don't suspect it, and we assume that it probably all came from the same piece, and therefore, if you find a 住讬诪谉 in one and the rest fit together, you're allowed to eat the rest. But otherwise, you're not allowed to eat the rest unless each piece has a 住讬诪谉. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues,
讛讛讜讗 讗专讘讗 讚爪讞谞转讗, there was this whole shipload of 爪讞谞转讗, as we said before, it is 讞讬诇拽, which is a 讻砖专 fish, 讚讗转讗 诇住讬讻专讗, came to 住讬讻专讗. 谞驻拽 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗, 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 went out, 讜讞讝讗 讘拽诇驻讗, he saw, on the side of this boat, he saw scales, 讜砖专讬讗, so he allowed the whole boatload of fish. And as 转讜住驻讜转 explains that this was a boatload of one kind of fish, because if it would have more than one kind, then it would be no 专讗讬讛 that they're all the 讻砖专 fish. Maybe these scales fell off of the 讻砖专 ones, and the other 诪讬谉 is not 讻砖专. But we're talking in a case where the whole boatload had the same 诪讬谉. And since he saw a scale on the side of the boat, so he assumed that the scales came from this fish, and that's a 专讗讬讛 that this is 讻砖专 fish, and he allowed them to buy all the fish. 讗诪专 诇讬讛 专讘讗, 专讘讗 said to him, 讜诪讬 讗讬讻讗 讚砖专讬 讻讬 讛讗讬 讙讜讜谞讗, is there anybody that is 诪转讬专 in such a case, 讘讗转专讗 讚砖讻讬讞讬 拽诇驻讬, in a place where you find the scales? Because maybe, after all, there are two kinds of fish in this boat. Maybe some are 讻砖专, some are not 讻砖专, even though they look alike, but maybe some are not 讻砖专. And the scales that you found there are from the 讻砖专 ones, but there are also non-讻砖专 there. 谞驻讬拽 砖讬驻讜专讗 讚专讘讗 讜讗住专, so 专讘讗 went out and made an announcement that you are not allowed to eat the fish. 砖讬驻讜专讗 讚专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 讜砖专讬, an announcement came out from 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 that you're allowed. And the 讙诪专讗 says,
讘爪讬专谉, only to use the brine, 讗讘诇 讘讙讜驻谉, but to use the fish themselves, 诇讗, he didn't allow. 讗诪专 专讘 讗砖讬, 专讘 讗砖讬 said, 讜讚讬讚讬 讗诪专 诇讬 专讘 驻驻讗, that 专讘 驻驻讗 said to me, 讻讬 砖专讗 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗, 讗驻讬诇讜 讘讙讜驻谉, that 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 allowed even the fish itself, not like you said in the name of 专讘 驻驻讗, that 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 only allowed the brine, but not the fish, that 专讘 驻驻讗 told me that 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 allowed the fish itself also. And therefore, 专讘 讗砖讬 is saying, 讜讗谞讗, I, and so he's saying, 诇讗 诪讬住专 讗住专讬谞讗, I can't 讗住专 it, I can't forbid it, because 讚拽讗诪专 诇讬 专讘 驻驻讗, because of what 专讘 驻驻讗 told me. He said that 专讘 讛讜谞讗 讘专 讞讬谞谞讗 was 诪转讬专 even the fish itself, so how can I say that it's 讗住讜专? 讜诇讗 诪讬砖专讗 砖专讬谞讗, but I cannot allow it either, 讚讛讗 讗诪专 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 诪砖诪讬讛 讚注讜诇讗, because of what 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 said in the name of 注讜诇讗, that 诪讞诇讜拽转 诇转讘诇 讘爪讬专谉, the 诪讞诇讜拽转, as we said before, between 专讘 讛讜谞讗 and 专讘 谞讞诪谉, whether you have to have both 住讬诪谞讬诐 or one 住讬诪谉 is enough, that is only concerning dipping your bread in the brine, 讗讘诇 讘讙讜驻谉, but to eat the fish itself, 讚讘专讬 讛讻诇, everyone agrees, 注讚 砖讬讛讗 专讗砖 讜砖讚专讛 谞讬讻专 砖诇 讻诇 讗讞讚 讜讗讞讚, until you could recognize the head and the spine of each piece of fish. So how can I say that you're allowed to eat the fish when we said before that everyone agrees that the fish itself you cannot eat unless you recognize each piece with both 住讬诪谞讬诐? Therefore, he said, I can't allow it, but I can't 讗住专 it either because of what 专讘 驻驻讗 said. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues, 讬转讬讘 专讘 讞讬谞谞讗 讘专讬讛 讚专讘 讗讬讚讬 拽诪讬讛 讚专讘 讗讚讗 讘专 讗讛讘讛, 专讘 讞讬谞谞讗 讘专讬讛 讚专讘 讗讬讚讬 that was sitting in front of 专讘 讗讚讗 讘专 讗讛讘讛, 讜讬转讬讘 讜拽讗诪专, and sitting and saying, 注讜讘讚 讻讜讻讘讬诐 砖讛讘讬讗 注专讬讘讛 诪诇讬讗讛 讞讘讬讜转, that if a 讙讜讬 brought a boatload full of barrels, barrels of brine, meaning, 讜讛砖转讻讞 讻讬诇讘讬转 讘讗讞转 诪讛谉, and you found this 讻讬诇讘讬转, which is the 住讬诪谉 that this is 讻砖专 brine, in one of the barrels, 驻转讜讞讜转, if the barrels were open, 讻讜诇谉 诪讜转专讜转, you are allowed to eat them all, even though you found the 讻讬诇讘讬转 in one of the barrels, but you are allowed to eat all the barrels, the brine of all the barrels, because this is a 住讬诪谉 that all of them are from the same kind and they're all 讻砖专. 住转讜诪讜转, if they were closed, 讛讬讗 诪讜转专转, the barrel itself in which one you found the 讻讬诇讘讬转 is 诪讜转专, 讜讻讜诇谉, but the rest of them, 讗住讜专讜转, are 讗住讜专. 讗诪专 诇讬讛, so he said to him, 诪谞讗 诇讱 讛讗, where do you know this from? 讗诪专 诇讬讛, he said to him, 诪转诇转讗 拽专讗讬 砖诪讬注 诇讬, I heard it from three great people. And he called the three great people 拽专讗讬, because 拽专讗讬 comes from the word 拽专讗, which means 驻住讜拽讬诐, and he meant to say, these are three people that you could rely on what they said as much as you could rely on a 驻住讜拽. And who are these people? 诪讬专讘, I heard it from 专讘, 讜砖诪讜讗诇, and 砖诪讜讗诇, 讜专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉, and 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉. Then the 讙诪专讗 says, 讗诪专 专讘 讘专讜谞讗 讗诪专 专讘, 专讘 讘专讜谞讗 said in the name of 专讘, 拽专讘讬 讚讙讬诐 讜注讜讘专谉, the insides of the fish and their roe, and their children that are inside, really meaning their eggs, 讗讬谉 谞讬拽讞讬谉, you cannot buy, 讗诇讗 诪谉 讛诪讜诪讞讛, only from an expert, only somebody that you could trust, but otherwise you can't buy it 住转诐 from a 讙讜讬, because we are afraid, maybe it is from non-讻砖专 fish. 讗诪专 诇讬讛 注讜诇讗 诇专讘 讚讜住转讗讬 讚诪谉 讘讬专讬, 注讜诇讗 asked a question to 专讘 讚讜住转讗讬 of 讘讬专讬, 诪讻讚讬 拽讗诪专 专讘, since 专讘 said, 拽专讘讬 讚讙讬诐 讜注讜讘专谉 讗讬谉 谞讬拽讞讬谉 讗诇讗 诪谉 讛诪讜诪讞讛, that the insides of the fish and their 注讜讘专讬谉, their eggs, cannot be bought only from a 诪讜诪讞讛, 诪讻诇诇, that proves, 讚讚讙 讟诪讗 讗讬转 诇讬讛 注讜讘专, that a non-讻砖专 fish also has a 注讜讘专 inside, also has the concept of eggs. Since you have to buy it from a 诪讜诪讞讛, because otherwise we are not sure it came from a 讻砖专 fish, maybe it's from a non-讻砖专 fish, this shows that non-讻砖专 fish also have the 注讜讘专讬谉, also have the eggs. 讜专诪讬谞讬讛, but I'll ask you a 拽砖讬讗, we learned, 讚讙 讟诪讗 诪砖专讬抓, 讚讙 讟讛讜专 诪讟讬诇 讘讬爪讬诐, that a non-讻砖专 fish, the way it gives birth to other fish is 诪砖专讬抓, that the fish come out from this mother fish. By a 讻砖专 fish, it lays eggs, and then from the eggs come new fish. So we see that non-讻砖专 fish don't lay eggs. So why is the 讚讬谉 that when you buy eggs of fish you must buy it from a 诪讜诪讞讛, because otherwise we are not sure that these eggs came from a 讻砖专 fish, but it's impossible that it should come from a non-讻砖专 fish, when we say that a non-讻砖专 fish doesn't lay any eggs? So he said to him, 住诪讬 诪讻讗谉 注讜讘专, okay, take out, cross out the word 注讜讘专, that when we quoted in the name of 专讘 that you should buy it only from a 诪讜诪讞讛, so the way we
quoted it before was that 拽专讘讬 讚讙讬诐, the insides of the fish, 讜注讜讘专谉, and the 注讜讘专谉, you must buy from a 诪讜诪讞讛. So he says, cross out the word 注讜讘专谉, and let the statement be just that he said the insides of fish you must buy from a 诪讜诪讞讛, but not 注讜讘专谉 because there is no such thing as 注讜讘专谉 from a non-讻砖专 fish and therefore you don't have to buy it only from a 诪讜诪讞讛. 讗诪专 诇讬讛 专讘 讝讬专讗, so 专讘 讝讬专讗 said to him, 诇讗 转住诪讬, do not take it out, because 转专讜讜讬讬讛讜 诪讟讬诇讬 讘讬爪讬诐 谞讬谞讛讜, because both lay eggs, kosher fish and non-kosher fish. 讗诇讗 讝讛 诪砖专讬抓 诪讘讞讜抓 讜讝讛 诪砖专讬抓 诪讘驻谞讬诐. The only difference is how the eggs hatch. In a kosher fish, the eggs hatch on the outside. In a non-kosher fish, the eggs hatch in the inside, and when it comes out from the fish, it comes out already a fish. But really, inside there are eggs. So therefore, when you buy eggs of fish from a 讙讜讬 or from somebody you can't trust, maybe he took it from a non-kosher fish from inside the stomach of the non-kosher fish, and they do have eggs inside. Then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 诇诪讛 诇讬 诪讜诪讞讛, why must you buy these eggs from a 诪讜诪讞讛, from somebody that you trust, but otherwise you are not sure is this from a kosher fish, 谞讘讚讜拽 讘住讬诪谞讬诐, why can't we check in the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of these eggs? Cause there are 住讬诪谞讬诐 that could tell you whether it is from a kosher fish or a non-kosher fish. 讚转谞讬讗, because we learned in a 讘专讬讬转讗, 讻住讬诪谞讬 讘讬爪讬诐 讻讱 住讬诪谞讬 讚讙讬诐. The
same 住讬诪谞讬诐 we find concerning eggs of birds, the same 住讬诪谞讬诐 are concerning fish whether it is kosher or not. So the 讙诪专讗 asks right away, 住讬诪谞讬 讚讙讬诐 住诇拽讗 讚注转讱? How can you say that the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs are the same as the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of fish? 住讬诪谞讬 讚讙讬诐 住谞驻讬专 讜拽砖拽砖转 讻转讬讘 讘讛讜. The 住讬诪谞讬诐 of fish is fins and scales, as it says in the 转讜专讛, but there is no such thing as fins and scales by eggs. So how can the 讘专讬讬转讗 say that the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs are the same as the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of fish? 讗诇讗, therefore we must say the 驻砖讟 in the 讘专讬讬转讗 is: 讻住讬诪谞讬 讘讬爪讬诐, just like the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs of birds, 讻讱 住讬诪谞讬 注讜讘专讬 讚讙讬诐. So too are the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the 注讜讘专讬 of fish, which means the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the eggs of fish are the same as the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the eggs of birds. 讜讗诇讜 讛谉 住讬诪谞讬 讘讬爪讬诐, and these are the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs of birds: 讻诇 砖拽讜讟专住 讜注讙讜诇讙诇, they are arched and rolling, means that if 专讗砖 讗讞讚 讻讚 讜专讗砖 讗讞讚 讞讚, if one end is round and one end is pointy, 讟讛讜专讛, that it's 讟讛讜专, that shows that it came from a kosher bird. 讜砖谞讬 专讗砖讬讛 讞讚讬谉, if both ends are pointy, 讜砖谞讬 专讗砖讬讛 讻讚讬谉, or both ends are round, 讟诪讗讛, you know it's a non-kosher egg, you know it came from a non-kosher bird. 讞诇诪讜谉 诪讘讞讜抓 讜讞诇讘讜谉 诪讘驻谞讬诐, if the yellow is on the outside and the white is on the inside, 讟诪讗讛, you know this is a non-kosher egg. 讞诇讘讜谉 诪讘讞讜抓 讜讞诇诪讜谉 诪讘驻谞讬诐, if the white is on the outside and the yellow is on the inside, 讟讛讜专讛, you know it's a kosher egg. 讞诇讘讜谉 讜讞诇诪讜谉 诪注讜专讘讬谉 讝讛 讘讝讛, if the white and the yellow are mixed into each other, then 讝讜 讛讬讗 讘讬爪转 讛砖专抓, then you know this is an egg of a reptile. But in the meantime we see here that it says that the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the eggs of fish are the same as the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the eggs of birds. So why is the 讚讬谉 that when you buy eggs of fish you must buy them from a 诪讜诪讞讛, and otherwise you cannot tell if it is from a kosher fish or not, when here we see clearly that there are 住讬诪谞讬诐 to tell whether it is from a kosher fish or not?
讗诪专 专讘讗, so 专讘讗 said: 讻砖谞讬诪讜讞讜, when they were pressed. That's when you have to buy it only from a 诪讜诪讞讛. If it is whole, then you could tell by the 住讬诪谞讬诐, but if it is squashed, it's pressed, then you have to buy it from a 诪讜诪讞讛 because there is no other way you could tell whether it is from a kosher fish or a non-kosher fish. Then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 讜诇专讘 讚讜住转讗讬 讚诪谉 讘讬专讬, according to what 专讘 讚讜住转讗讬 from 讘讬专讬 said before, 讚讗诪专, he said, 住讜诐 诪讻讗谉 注讜讘专谉, take away from here 注讜讘专谉, he said before we should erase, we should cross out the words 注讜讘专谉 from the statement of 专讘. And the reason was, as we said before, because he said that there is no such things as eggs by fish, therefore he crossed it out. But 讜讛转谞讬讗, didn't we learn in a 讘专讬讬转讗, 讻住讬诪谞讬 讘讬爪讬诐 讻讱 住讬诪谞讬 注讜讘专讬 讚讙讬诐, that just like the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs of birds, the same 住讬诪谞讬诐 apply to the eggs of fish. So we see that fish do have eggs? The 讙诪专讗 says, 诇讗讜 转讬专讜爪讗 拽讗 诪转专爪转 诇讛? Didn't you have to explain the 讘专讬讬转讗 anyway? The way the 讘专讬讬转讗 was written originally, it was completely different. It said that just like you have 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs, you also have 住讬诪谞讬诐 of fish. But we just asked, that couldn't be, so we had to change it and say that it means that just like the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs are the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the eggs of fish. But that's not what it said in the 讘专讬讬转讗 originally, you just had to fix it up. Now if you're fixing it up anyway, according to him, you'll fix it up differently and say: 讻讱 住讬诪谞讬 拽专讘讬 讚讙讬诐, that just like you have 住讬诪谞讬诐 of eggs, so too are the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the inside of the fish, not the fish entrails. But then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 讜讛讬讻讗 诪砖讻讞转 讘住讬诪谞讬 拽专讘讬 讚讙讬诐 砖讬讛讗 讻讚 讜讞讚? But where do we find that the 住讬诪谞讬诐 of the fish entrails should be rounded and pointed? The 讙诪专讗 answers: 诪砖讻讞转 诇讛 讘砖讬驻讜讞讗, it is found with the fish bladder. Then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 讜讗讬谉 砖诐 诪讜诪讞讛 诪讗讬, if there is no 诪讜诪讞讛, what do we do? As we said before, that if we buy the eggs from the fish when it's not pressed, then we have 住讬诪谞讬诐 how to check it out to see whether it's kosher or not. But if it's pressed, the only way we could know if the eggs are from a kosher fish or not is if we buy it from a 诪讜诪讞讛, from a person that you trust, a person who is an expert, and he knows the difference between a 讻砖专 and non-讻砖专 one, and you trust him. So that's when you could buy. So the question is, if you don't have a 诪讜诪讞讛, what do you do then?
讗诪专 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛, so 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 said, 讻讬讜谉 讚讗诪专, if he says, 讗谞讗 诪诇讻转讬谉, I salted them and he says, "I know this from a 讻砖专 fish," 诪讜转专讬谉, you're allowed to eat it because you trust him. 专讘 谞讞诪谉 讗诪专, 专讘 谞讞诪谉 says, 注讚 砖讬讗诪专, 讗诇讜 讚讙讬诐 讜讗诇讜 拽专讘讬讛谉, should be able to show you, "These are the fish and these are the insides." In other words, it is not enough if he just says, "I salted them, and I tell you it's from a 讻砖专 fish." But he has to also show you the fish where these insides came from. 讙诪专讗 concludes, 讗讜专讬 诇讬讛 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 诇讗讚讗 讚讬讬诇讗, that 专讘 讬讛讜讚讛 instructed 讗讚讗, the servant, that 讻讬讜谉 讚讗诪专 讗谞讬 诪诇讻转讬谉, that as soon as he says, "I salted it," 诪讜转专讬谉, it's 诪讜转专. He doesn't have to produce the fish where it came from. But if he says, "I salted it and I saw it originally before it was pressed and I saw that it was from a 讻砖专 fish," you could trust him and you could eat it. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It also said in the 诪砖谞讛 that you're allowed to eat 讜注诇讛 砖诇 讞讬诇转讬转, the leaf of 讞讬诇转讬转. 讞讬诇转讬转 itself, we said before, is not allowed to be eaten. Because they cut the 讞讬诇转讬转 and they use a knife which is non-讻砖专. And since the 讞讬诇转讬转 is sharp, the taste that it will absorb from the non-讻砖专 knife will not be a 谞讜转谉 讟注诐 诇驻讙诐, a bad taste, but a good taste. Therefore it's 讗住讜专. But the leaf of the 讞讬诇转讬转, that is 诪讜转专. So the 讙诪专讗 asks, 驻砖讬讟讗. Certainly it's 诪讜转专. Since the leaf was not cut, then why should it be 讗住讜专? And the 讙诪专讗 says, 诇讗 谞爪专讻讗, it doesn't have to tell us, 讗诇讗 诇拽专讟讬谉 砖讘讜, a drop. That if a drop of it is on the leaf, that also is allowed to be eaten. Because 诪讛讜 讚转讬诪讗, I would have thought 诇诪讬讞砖, let's be afraid 讚诇诪讗 诪讬讬抓 讜诪注专讘 诇讬讛, maybe he brought this from someplace else and mixed it in here. And 讘讗诪转 this drop came from another 讞讬诇转讬转 that was cut with a knife and that was brought here. And therefore you shouldn't be able to eat this leaf because of this drop. 拽讗 诪砖诪注 诇谉, that's why he tells us, 讚讛讛讜讗 讗砖转专讜拽讬 讛讜讗 讚讗砖转专讜拽 讜讗转讗 讘讛讚讛. That the drop that was found on the leaf really detached itself and came here on the leaf, but was not cut. And therefore you are allowed to eat it. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It
said in the 诪砖谞讛, 讜注讬讙讜诇讬 专住拽 讛诪讙讜讙诇讬谉, you are allowed to eat the rolled olive cakes. The 讙诪专讗 says, 驻砖讬讟讗, certainly. Why would you think that you shouldn't be able to eat it? Why does the 诪砖谞讛 have to tell us that you're allowed to eat it? 讙诪专讗 answers, 诇讗 谞爪专讻讗, it doesn't have to tell us, but the 讞讬讚讜砖 is that 讗祝 注诇 讙讘 讚专驻讬 讟讜讘讬, even though it is very soft. It was rolled a lot and it's very soft, still you're allowed to eat it. Because 诪讛讜 讚转讬诪讗, I would have thought 讞诪专讗 专诪讬 讘讛讜, that they put wine in it. Why is it so soft? Because probably they put wine in it and then you shouldn't be able to eat it. 拽讗 诪砖诪注 诇谉, that's why he tells us, that 讛讗谞讬 讚讛讗, this 诪讞诪转 诪砖讞讗 讛讜讗 讚专驻讬, the reason they are soft is because of the oil, but not because of wine and therefore you're allowed to eat it. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It said in the 诪砖谞讛, 讜专讘讬 讬讜住讬, and 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 says, 砖诇讞讬谉 讗住讜专讬谉, that the 砖诇讞讬谉 are 讗住讜专. 讛讬讻讬 讚诪讬 砖诇讞讬谉? What do we mean 砖诇讞讬谉? 讗诪专 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讘专 讞谞讬谞讗, so 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讘专 讞谞讬谞讗 said, 讻诇 砖讗讜讞讝讜 讘讬讚讜 讜讙专注讬谞转讜 谞砖诪讟转, that these are olives that you just hold in your hand and the pit falls out. The stones fall out. That's why it's called 砖诇讞讬谉 because it's comes from the word 砖诇讞, it sends, it sends it out. And the reason that it is 讗住讜专 is because why is it so soft that the pit fall out? Because the 讙讜讬 put wine on it and that's why 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 says it is 讗住讜专. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It
said in the 诪砖谞讛, 讛讞讙讘讬诐 讛讘讗讬谉 讜讻讜诇讬, that the locusts that come 诪谉 讛住诇讜诇讗 讗住讜专讬谉, that the locusts that come from the shopkeeper's basket, they are forbidden. But if it comes from the stock, then they're allowed. That's what the 诪砖谞讛 says. So the 讙诪专讗 says, 转谞讜 专讘谞谉, the 专讘谞谉 learned, 讛讞讙讘讬诐, the locusts, 讜讛拽驻专讬住讬谉, and the capers, 讜讛拽驻诇讜讟讜转, and the leeks, 讛讘讗讬诐 诪谉 讛讗讜爪专, that they come from the warehouse, 讗讜 诪谉 讛讛驻转拽, or from the stock, 讗讜 诪谉 讛住驻讬谞讛, from the boat, 诪讜转专讬诐, are 诪讜转专, are allowed. 讛谞诪讻专讬诐 讘拽讟诇讜讝讗 诇驻谞讬 讞谞讜谞讬, and those that are sold in the counter in front of the shop, 讗住讜专讬诐, they are 讗住讜专, 诪驻谞讬 砖诪讝诇祝 讬讬谉 注诇讬讛诐, because they would pour, they would spray wine on them. But while it was in stock, they wouldn't spray the wine. That's why it's 讛讘讗讬诐 诪谉 讛讗讜爪专, those that come from the warehouse, 诪谉 讛讛驻转拽, and from the stock, 讜诪谉 讛住诇讜诇讗, from the basket, 诪讜转专讬诐, are 诪讜转专. 讛谞诪讻专 讘拽讟诇讜讝讗, those that are sold by the counter, 讗住讜专, they are 讗住讜专. Why? 诪驻谞讬 砖诪注专讘讬谉 讘讜 讬讬谉, because in those they would mix in wine. But one might ask concerning the 讞讙讘讬诐, the 拽驻专讬住讬谉 and 拽驻诇讜讟讜转, that even though, since it was in stock, they don't mix any wine in it. They don't spray it with wine. It still should be 讗住讜专 because of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, because it's cooked by the 讙讜讬诐. So 专砖"讬 explains, that would not make it 讗住讜专 because these are things that could be eaten raw, and we learned before, anything that could be eaten raw, there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. I, let's ask another question: why did it be 讗住讜专 because they were cooked in the 讻诇讬诐 of the 讙讜讬诐, so that it absorbed the taste of the non-kosher food that was absorbed originally in the 讻诇讬诐? So 专砖"讬 says, that that is 谞讜转谉 讟注诐 诇驻讙诐, because the taste that will come out from that into these things will not be a good taste, and as we said before, 谞讜转谉 讟注诐 诇驻讙诐 is 诪讜转专. Another thing important to mention here is, that when the 讙诪专讗 gives the three examples, that if it comes from the 讗讜爪专 or from the 讛驻转拽, or from the 住驻讬谞讛, from the warehouse or from the storage or from the boat, the order is, as 转讜住驻讜转 says, 讝讜 讜讗祝 讝讜. Because in an 讗讜爪专 it lasts longer than in a 讛驻转拽, which means in the warehouse it lasts longer than in the stock, and in the stock it lasts longer than in the boat. And what the 讘专讬讬转讗 is telling us, that not only if it is in the warehouse it is 诪讜转专, because there we are sure that no wine was mixed into it, but even if it was in stock we are also sure. And not only that, even it was in the boat, which is already closer of selling it, also we don't suspect that wine was mixed into it. Then the 讙诪专讗 says: 转谞讜 专讘谞谉, the 专讘谞谉 learned: 驻注诐 讗讞转, one time, 讞砖 专讘讬 讘诪讬注讬讜, 专讘讬 had a disorder with his stomach. 讗诪专, he said: 讻诇讜诐 讬砖 讗讚诐 砖讬讜讚注, is there any person here that knows the 讚讬谉, that 讬讬谉 转驻讜讞讬诐 砖诇 注讜讘讚讬 讻讜讻讘讬诐 讗住讜专 讗讜 诪讜转专, that if wine of apples, which means apple cider, of 讙讜讬诐, is it 讗住讜专 or 诪讜转专? Because he knew that apple cider would help his sickness, so he asked if he's allowed to buy the apple cider from the 讙讜讬诐. 讗诪专 诇驻谞讬讜 专讘讬 讬砖诪注讗诇 讘专讘讬 讬讜住讬, so 专讘讬 讬砖诪注讗诇 讘专讘讬 讬讜住讬 said to him: 驻注诐 讗讞转 讞砖 讗讘讗 讘诪讬注讬讜, once my father had trouble with his stomach, 讜讛讘讬讗讜 诇讜 讬讬谉 转驻讜讞讬诐 砖诇 注讜讘讚讬 讻讜讻讘讬诐, and they brought to him the apple cider of 讙讜讬诐, 砖诇 注' 砖谞讛, which was 70 years old, 讜砖转讛, and he drank it, 讜谞转专驻讗, and he was cured. So we see that you are allowed. 讗诪专 诇讜, so he said to him: 讻诇 讻讱 讛讬讛 讘讬讚讱, so much was in your hand! In other words, you knew so much, you had so much information, 讜讗转讛 诪爪注专谞讬, and you are 诪爪注专 me, and you let me suffer? 讘讚拽讜, they look into it, 讜诪爪讗讜, and they found, 注讜讘讚 讻讜讻讘讬诐 讗讞讚, one 讙讜讬, 砖讛讬讛 诇讜 砖诇砖 诪讗讜转 讙专讘讬 讬讬谉 砖诇 转驻讜讞讬诐, he had 300 barrels of apple cider, 砖诇 注' 砖谞讛, that were 70 years old, 讜砖转讛, and 专讘讬 drank from it, 讜谞转专驻讗, and he was cured. 讗诪专, he said: 讘专讜讱 讛诪拽讜诐, blessed should be 讛砖诐, 砖诪住专 注讜诇诪讜 诇砖讜诪专讬诐, that He gave over His world to guards. In other words, 讛砖诐 had guarded these barrels of apple cider 70 years so that 专讘讬 should be able to have it in order to be cured. Then the
诪砖谞讛 said: 讜讻谉 诇转专讜诪讛, the same 讚讬谉 applies to 转专讜诪讛. 诪讗讬 讜讻谉 诇转专讜诪讛, the 讙诪专讗 asks, what does the 诪砖谞讛 mean that the same 讚讬谉 applies to 转专讜诪讛? 讗诪专 专讘 砖砖转, 专讘 砖砖转 said: 讜讻谉, the same 讚讬谉 applies, 诇讻讛谉 讛讞砖讜讚 诇诪讻讜专 转专讜诪讛 诇砖诐 讞讜诇讬谉, concerning a 讻讛谉 who we suspect that maybe he will sell 转专讜诪讛 saying it is 讞讜诇讬谉. 转专讜诪讛, we know, is not allowed to be eaten by anybody else but a 讻讛谉. So a 讻讛谉 who sells 转专讜诪讛 and says it's 讞讜诇讬谉, has the same 讚讬谉. Because these words 讜讻谉 诇转专讜诪讛 follow what it said right before that, that 讞讙讘讬诐 讛讘讗讬诐 诪谉 讛住诇讜诇讗 讗住讜专讬谉, that the 讞讙讘讬诐, the locusts that come from the counter, they are 讗住讜专, but if they come from the stock, they are 诪讜转专. So then the 诪砖谞讛 says 讜讻谉 诇转专讜诪讛, the same applies to 转专讜诪讛, that if you're going to buy grain from a 讻讛谉 and he is a 讻讛谉 that we are not sure that he doesn't sell 转专讜诪讛 and tells that it's 讞讜诇讬谉, he would have the same 讚讬谉. That what? That 诇驻谞讬讜 讛讜讗 讚讗住讜专, that if it's in front of him, it's on the counter and he's selling you grain, then it's 讗住讜专 to buy from him because we're afraid maybe it's 转专讜诪讛. 讗讘诇 讛讘讗 诪谉 讛讗讜爪专, but if you bring it from the warehouse, 诪谉 讛讛驻转拽, or from the stock, 诪谉 讛住诇讜诇讗, or from the basket, 诪讜转专, that is 诪讜转专. And the reason for that is because 讗讬专讜住讬 诪讬专住住, he is afraid. 住讘专, he thinks, 砖诪注讬 讘讬 专讘谞谉, the 专讘谞谉 will hear it, 讜诪驻住讚讜 诇讬 诪讬谞讗讬, they will spoil it for me. So therefore, if he sells it from the counter, so then he doesn't have a big risk, because if they're going to hear about it, all they're going to deprive him of is of that little bit. But if he's going to take it from the warehouse and they're going to hear about it, then they're going to deprive him from the whole warehouse, so he wouldn't take a chance. And therefore, if he says that it's 讞讜诇讬谉, we could trust him that it's 讞讜诇讬谉. Tour, etc.
Since we finished this 驻专拽 now, and one of the things we learned about was concerning the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, that you're not allowed to eat food that was cooked by a 讙讜讬, we will try to go through 讘拽讬爪讜专, in short, some of the different opinions that we have in the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 and the 讗讞专讜谞讬诐 concerning this 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. And some of the things we had mentioned all along while we were learning the 讙诪专讗, from the 转讜住驻讜转, etc., and some things we haven't mentioned yet, but we will go through them 讘拽讬爪讜专. 转讜住驻讜转 had brought down earlier in the name name of 专讘 讗讘专讛诐 讘谉 专讘 讚讜讚, and so does the 诪专讚讻讬 say, and so does the 专讘讬谞讜 讬专讜讞诐 hold, and so does the 讟讜专 讘砖诐 讛专讗状砖 say, that this 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 only applies if the 讙讜讬 cooked the food in his own house. But if he cooked it in the 讗讬讚's house, then it's allowed. Because then there is no reason to be 讞讜砖砖, because the only reason why we're not allowed to eat 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, as we learned before was, or because we're afraid that the 讙讜讬 is going to feed a 讗讬讚 a non-kosher food, or because this will lead to socializing and this will lead to intermarriage. Now, if it is cooked in the 讗讬讚's house, both reasons don't apply. And therefore these 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 hold that if it's cooked in the 讗讬讚's house, there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. But 转讜住驻讜转 in the name of the 专讘讬谞讜 转诐, and also the 诪专讚讻讬 in the name of the 专讘讬谞讜 转诐, and also the 专诪讘状诐 in the 驻讬专讜砖 讛诪砖谞讬讜转, and the 诪讗讬专讬 and the 讻诇 讘讜, and the 讟讜专, they all argue and they say that the 讞讻诪讬诐 did not make a difference between whether it is cooked in the 专砖讜转 of the 讬砖专讗诇 or in the 专砖讜转 of the 讙讜讬. Always we are afraid that maybe we'll not be careful, and therefore even if it was cooked in the house of the 讗讬讚, you're not allowed to eat 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. On the other hand, 讘讚讬注讘讚 there are some 讗讞专讜谞讬诐 that say that 讘讚讬注讘讚 is okay. And this is brought down in the 讚专讻讬 诪砖讛 and in the 讘状讞 and they quote the 讗讬住讜专 讜讛转专, that 讘讚讬注讘讚, if it was cooked in the house of the 讗讬讚, you could allow it. Now, what about if the 讙讜讬 that cooked it was an 注讘讚 or a 砖驻讞讛 of the 讗讬讚? Not only was it done in the house of the 讗讬讚, but this person is an 注讘讚, the slave, or the maid of the 讗讬讚. So here we have a 诪讞诇讜拽转 in the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐. Some 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 say that in a case like that there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. And the reason is, because since this 注讘讚 is 拽谞讜讬 诇讬砖专讗诇, he is so to speak owned by the 讗讬讚, and whatever he does, all his work, all his profit goes to the 讗讬讚, and on 砖讘转 we are commanded that he shouldn't do any 诪诇讗讻讛, because the 转讜专讛 says you should see that your 注讘讚 should not do any 诪诇讗讻讛. So therefore he is not included in the category of a regular 讙讜讬, and therefore he is not included in the 讙讝讬专讛 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. This is the opinion of the 专诪讘状谉 in the 转砖讜讘讛 he wrote to 专讘讬谞讜 讬讜谞讛 in the 转砖讜讘讜转 讛诪讬讜讞住讜转, and this is also the opinion of the 讗专讞讜转 讞讬讬诐 in the name of the 专诪讘状谉 that is brought down in the 讘讬转 讬讜住祝. Or the reason would be, because the whole idea of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 is because of a 讙讝讬专讛 of 讞转谞讜转, we're afraid that this will bring to intermarriage. Now, this 讙讝讬专讛 doesn't apply by an 注讘讚, because when could this bring to intermarriage? Only if the person who cooks, cooks 诪专爪讜谞讜, he cooks out of his own free will, because he likes the 讗讬讚, and he cooks for him, so then this could bring to intermarriage. But in the case of the 注讘讚讬诐 and the 砖驻讞讜转, since they do it not because they want, they do it because they have to, this will not bring to intermarriage. This is a 住讘专讗 that it says in the 砖讘诇讬 讛诇拽讟, and also the 专讗状讛 in the 讘讚拽 讛讘讬转 brings that 住讘专讗 in the name of the 专讬讘状讘, 专讘 诪谞讜讞. And the 诇讘讜砖 adds another 住讘专讗, that since the whole reason is because of 讞转谞讜转, concerning the 砖驻讞讜转 there is no 讞转谞讜转. Why? Because they are low people, so nobody will ever get married with them. And also according to the other reason, that we're afraid maybe he will feed the 讗讬讚 a non-kosher food, this is also not 砖讬讬讱 by a 砖驻讞讛, because she is afraid of her master. And the 砖状讱 even explains that there is a difference 诇讛诇讻讛 between these two reasons, the two reasons we said before. One is, since the 讙讜讬 is under our control so he is not really included in the 讚讬谉 of a 讙讜讬, since on 砖讘转 we are obligated that he should keep 砖讘转, etc., and therefore there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. Or the other reason that we said before, because since he does it by force, he doesn't cook because he wants, but by force, therefore there is no 砖讗诇讛 of 讞转谞讜转, and therefore there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, so the 砖状讱 says that there is a difference 诇讛诇讻讛 between these
two reasons. According to the first reason, then when would this 讚讬谉 be that by an 注讘讚 and a 砖驻讞讛 there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐? Only if they are 拽谞讜讬 诇讬砖专讗诇, if they actually belong to the 讗讬讚. But what happens if you just hire a person for a half a year or a year, etc.? So then since they don't belong to the 讗讬讚, so according to the first reason there would be a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 concerning these servants, these slaves. But according to the second reason, that since they have to cook whether they like it or not, therefore there is no 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, so even if you hired a 讙讜讬 for a time, for a half a year or a year, also there would be no 讚讬谉 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. But this is all according to the 住讘专讗 that by an 注讘讚 and a 砖驻讞讛 there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, and it depends on which reason it is as we said before. But the 专砖讘状讗 in 砖讗诇讜转 讜转砖讜讘讜转 讞诇拽 讗壮 住讬诪谉 住状讞 and also the 讘讬转 讬讜住祝 brings in the name of the 专讗状砖 that it is not so, that even 注讘讚讬诐 讜砖驻讞讜转 also are included in the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. And the truth is that the 专讬讟讘状讗 says that not only are 砖驻讞讜转 included in the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, but it is even worse, since the whole 讞砖砖 is that it might bring to 讞转谞讜转, so in the case of a 砖驻讞讛 who is in the house of the 讗讬讚 and cooks for the 讗讬讚 in his house, certainly we have to be more careful of intermarriage and therefore this 讚讬谉 would apply there more. Now,
concerning 讘讚讬注讘讚, the 专诪状讗 says that 讘讚讬注讘讚 we could rely that if they are an 注讘讚 or a 砖驻讞讛 that you could be eat it, and the reason that is given is because since it is cooked in the house of the 讗讬讚, it is almost impossible So that one of the people of the house shouldn't have gone over to the pot and mixed a little, and we learned that before that if a 讗讬讚 helped a little bit in the therefore in the case of 注讘讚讬诐 讜砖驻讞讜转 we could rely on this. Concerning which things are included in the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, so we learned earlier in the 讙诪专讗 that in 住讜专讗 they said that anything which is 谞讗讻诇 讻诪讜转 砖讛讜讗 讞讬 讗讬谉 讘讜 诪砖讜诐 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, anything which is eaten raw there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. In 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗 they said that anything which is not 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐, which would not be served on the table of a king, then there is no 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 there. Now concerning this there is a 诪讞诇讜拽转 in the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐. 转讜住驻讜转 we learned said that 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗 added on 住讜专讗, which means that they came to say that not only do we accept what you said in 住讜专讗 that if it's eaten raw there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, but also if it is not 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐 there is also no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. Which means that if we have one of the two conditions, then there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. And 转讜住驻讜转 also says that that's the 讛诇讻讛. But the 专砖讘状讗, and also the 专讘讬谞讜 讞谞谞讗诇, and also the 诪讗讬专讬, they say that 诪讞诇讜拽转 between 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗 and 住讜专讗 was not that 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗 added on 住讜专讗, but each one had his own 讚讬谉. In 住讜专讗 they said that only if it is eaten raw there is no 讚讬谉 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, and in 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗 they said that only if it is not 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐 there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. 诇讛诇讻讛 most of the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 驻住拽谉 that if one of the two conditions are missing already there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, but nevertheless there are other 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 that 驻住拽谉 different. The
讛讙讛讜转 诪讬讬诪讜谞讬讜转 in 讛诇讻讜转 诪讗讻诇讜转 讗住讜专讜转 says there that there is a 住讘专讗 to say that we should be 诪讞诪讬专 like both 诇砖讜谞讜转, which means that it's not 诪讜转专 unless it has both 讞住专讜谞讜转, if it if it is eaten raw and is not 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐. While the 专诪讘状谉 驻住拽谞住 that it only depends on the 谞讗讻诇 讞讬. This is the only condition that we accept, which means we 驻住拽谉 like 住讜专讗, that if it is eaten raw then there is no 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, but concerning 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐 we don't accept that 讚讬谉. On the other hand the 诪讗讬专讬 brings a 住讘专讗, and the 专讬讟讘状讗 also, that we 驻住拽谉 like the 驻讜诪讘讚讬转讗. That means that it only depends whether it is 注讜诇讛 注诇 砖讜诇讞谉 诪诇讻讬诐 or not. Now concerning what is considered that you could eat it raw, so we also have a 诪讞诇讜拽转 in the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐. The 专讬讟讘状讗 says that what means 谞讗讻诇 讻诪讜转 砖讛讜讗 讞讬 as long as you could eat it raw, even if most of the people don't eat it raw, but as long as it could be eaten raw, that is considered 谞讗讻诇 讞讬. But other 专讗砖讜谞讬诐, the 诪讗讬专讬 and the 专讬讟讘状讗 and the 专讘讬谞讜 讬专讜讞诐 say that it doesn't depend on whether it could be eaten raw, but it depends on whether people usually eat it raw, that if the custom is to eat it raw, then it's called 谞讗讻诇 讻诪讜转 砖讛讜讗 讞讬, and it wouldn't be under the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. But if people don't eat it raw, even though you could, then it's not considered 谞讗讻诇 讻诪讜转 砖讛讜讗 讞讬. Now concerning what is called cooked, concerning the 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, so the 专砖讘状讗 says and it's brought down in the 讟讜专 and the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱 that this is whether it's cooked in a pot or whether it's broiled, as long as the 讙讜讬 did something with fire to make it ready to eat, that is called 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 and it is forbidden. And also according to some 住讘专讜转, not only through fire, but if the 讙讜讬 prepared it through salting, for instance if he salted a herring and that is the way you eat it, and that is instead of cooking, so according to some 住讘专讜转 that is also forbidden. Smoked is not considered 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 according to the 专诪讘状诐, and therefore, if there were fruit that a 讙讜讬 smoked and through that it became 专讗讜讬 诇讗讻讬诇讛, it is still 诪讜转专. Also it says in the 讬专讜砖诇诪讬 that if you put hot water over flour and that's how you prepare the flour to be eaten, there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐. Why? Because you didn't do any 诪注砖讛 through fire here. The water that was cooked through fire, there was no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 by the water. When you put the water over the flour, then you're not cooking through the fire, and therefore it says in 讬专讜砖诇诪讬 that you are allowed. If you
mix something which has a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 with things that don't have a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, and a 讙讜讬 cooked them, what is the 讚讬谉 there? So it says in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱, the 讟讜专, taken from the 专砖讘状讗, and also in 转讜住驻讜转 and the 专讬讟讘状讗, says that it depends: if the 注讬拽专 is the thing which does have a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, it is 讗住讜专. If the 注讬拽专 is the thing that doesn't have a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, it's 诪讜转专. In other words, we always follow the 注讬拽专, the main thing, whether it is 诇讛拽诇 or 诇讛讞诪讬专. And based on this, if you have bread, and according to those who eat bread of a 讙讜讬 if it's from a baker, and it's mixed with eggs, so even though concerning eggs there's a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, but since concerning the bread there is no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐, you would be able to eat it. And the same 讚讬谉 would apply if you have bread and it's smeared on top with egg, there should be no 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 according to this 住讘专讗. Nevertheless, some say that in a case where you smear the eggs on top of the bread, then it is 讗住讜专 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜状诐 because the egg is 讘注讬谉, you could see the egg, and it is not 讘讟诇 to the bread and therefore there is a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. That's what it says in the 专诪"讗, and it also says in the 讚专讻讬 诪砖讛, and he also says it in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱, it's all based on the 转讜住驻讜转 in 讞讜诇讬谉 讚祝 住"讚 注诪讜讚 讗' 讚讬讘讜专 讛诪转讞讬诇 住讬诪谞讬诐, and that's what it says also in the 专讗"砖 and in the 诪专讚讻讬 there, that anything which is 讘注讬谉, so then we do not say it's 讘讟诇 to the other things. Now the 转砖讘"抓
writes, and it's brought down in the 讘讬转 讬讜住祝, that the sweet stuff that was made of a mixture of honey and flour, even though concerning flour there is a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, nevertheless you are allowed to eat it, because the honey is the 注讬拽专, and the only reason they put in the flour is in order it should stick, so it is 讟驻诇 to the honey, and therefore you're allowed to eat it, but nevertheless, an 讗讚诐 讞砖讜讘 should be 诪讞诪讬专 and not eat it. But the 专诪"讗 writes in the 讚专讻讬 诪砖讛 that this is only if when they made this mixture it was very loose, in such a way that the 讘专讻讛 would be a 砖讛讻诇. But if the mixture is thick, and you would have to make a 讘讜专讗 诪讬谞讬 诪讝讜谞讜转 on it, even though you don't make 讛诪讜爪讬讗 if you are not 拽讜讘注 住注讜讚讛 on it, but only a 诪讝讜谞讜转, but nevertheless in a case like that, the flour is not 讟驻诇 to the honey. Then this would have a 讚讬谉 of 驻转 注讻讜"诐 and not of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. We know by 驻转 注讻讜"诐 some people have a 诪谞讛讙 that if it was baked by a baker a 讙讜讬, it is 诪讜转专. So according to them, so then this cake would also be 诪讜转专, because it would not be considered 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, but it would be considered 驻转 注讻讜"诐. And that is a general rule that is written in the 讗讞专讜谞讬诐, that anything which you make a 讘专讻讛 of 诪讝讜谞讜转 on, but if you would be 拽讜讘注 住注讜讚讛 on that you would have to make 讛诪讜爪讬讗 and then 讘注谞讟砖, which means if you would sit down and establish your 住注讜讚讛 on that cake you would have to make 讛诪讜爪讬讗 and later on you would have to 讘注谞讟砖, this has a 讚讬谉 of 驻转 注讻讜"诐, not of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. But anything that you would never make 讛诪讜爪讬讗 on even if you would be 拽讜讘注 住注讜讚讛 on it, then it goes into category of 讘讬砖讜诇, and there is no 讛讬转专, even in the case where there would be a 讛讬转专 on bread, but there would be no 讛讬转专 on that, because that is not bread, but that is called 讘讬砖讜诇. Now if you
had a mixture of something that is 讗住讜专 already from 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, it was cooked by a 讙讜讬 and it's 讗住讜专, and it got mixed with a 诪讗讻诇 of 讛讬转专, and you can't separate it, so the 讚讬谉 is it is 讘讟诇 讘专讜讘. That's what the 谞讬诪讜拽讬 讬讜住祝 writes, and that's what it says in the 讗讬住讜专 讜讛讬转专, in the 转讜专转 讞讟讗转, and that's what the 专诪"讗 writes in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱, and that's what is brought down in the 砖"讱 also. And this applies whether the mixture was 诪讬谉 讘诪讬谞讜 with the same kind, or 诪讬谉 讘砖讗讬谞讜 诪讬谞讜, or if it was mixed in the other food that was a different kind than the food of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, whether it was in 诇讞 or in 讬讘砖, whether it was mixed in the wet where then there is a 讚讬谉 of 砖砖讬诐 usually, or it's being mixed in 讬讘砖 where there is usually a 讚讬谉 of 专讜讘, in this case it would always be a 讚讬谉 of 讘讬讟讜诇 讘专讜讘. That's what it says in the 讗讬住讜专 讜讛讬转专 and in the 转讜专转 讞讟讗转 there. Some say that you do need the 讚讬谉 of 砖砖讬诐 like you would have to be 诪讘讟诇 every other 讗讬住讜专. That's what it says in the 砖"讱, in the 驻专讬 讞讚砖. Now concerning the 讻诇讬诐, the vessels that the 讙讜讬 cooked the food in, so some say that they are 讗住讜专 and you have to 讻砖专 them, because anything that the 讞讻诪讬诐 made 讗住讜专, so then its 驻诇讬讟讛, the taste that's absorbed in the 讻诇讬 is also 讗住讜专, and therefore when you will use that 讻诇讬 later on to cook other food, the other food will absorb the taste that was absorbed in the 讻诇讬 from the 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, and therefore it should be 讗住讜专. This is what it says in the 专砖讘"讗 and in the 专"谉 and in the 专讬讟讘"讗, and in the 讗专讞讜转 讞讬讬诐, in the 讘讬转 讬讜住祝, and one 讚注讛 also brought down in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱. But some say that the 讻诇讬诐 are 诪讜转专 without 讻砖专'讬谞讙 them, because the 讞讻诪讬诐 when they 讗住专'讚 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 did not 讗住专 the 讻诇讬诐. And the reason would be because the whole idea why you're not allowed to eat 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 mainly is because of 讞转谞讜转 and 拽讬专讜讘 讛讚注转, in order not to intermarry, not to get close to the 讙讜讬诐, and this will not happen by eating the taste of the 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 that was absorbed in the 讻诇讬. This is the opinion of the 专"谉 in the 讘讚拽 讛讘讬转 and also of the 专讬讟讘"讗 in the name of the 专"谉, and the 讟讜专 brings it in the name of the 专讗"砖, and this is the second 讚注讛 that is brought down in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱 in the name of the 讬砖 讗讜诪专讬诐. And even according to those that hold that you do have to 讻砖专, if it is a 讻诇讬 讞专住, an earthenware, which normally we know that earthenware cannot be 讻砖专, still if it's 讘诇注, if it absorbed 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, you could 讻砖专 it three times and that's enough. Even though normally it doesn't help, but since 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 is an 讗讬住讜专 诪讚专讘谞谉 and doesn't have an 注讬拽专 诪谉 讛转讜专讛, it doesn't have a source in the 转讜专讛, so therefore even by a 讻诇讬 讞专住 if you 讻砖专 it three times it's enough. 讘讚讬注讘讚, if a person used a 讻诇讬 that was originally used for 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 and cooked a 讚讘专 讛讬转专, a food which is 诪讜转专 in it, and there is 专讜讘 in the food, there is a majority in the food against the 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, then the 讚讬谉 is it is 诪讜转专. That's what the 砖"讱 says.
Concerning a 住驻拽 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, the 讚讬谉 is that 住驻拽 is 诪讜转专. Since the whole 讚讬谉 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 is only 讗讬住讜专 讚专讘谞谉, if there's a 住驻拽 whether the 讙讜讬 cooked it or not, it is 诪讜转专. That's how the 专诪"讗 驻住拽'谞住 it in the 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱. Now concerning cooking 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 for a sick person, so normally we know that all other 讗讬住讜专讬诐 you're only allowed to give it to a 讞讜诇讛 砖讬砖 讘讜 住讻谞讛. If he's sick and his life is in danger, then we say 驻讬拽讜讞 谞驻砖 讚讜讞讛 讻诇 讛转讜专讛 讻讜诇讛. Then a person's life pushes away all the 讗讬住讜专讬诐. But concerning 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐, the 专讗"讛 writes in 讘讬转 讛讘讬转, and the 专砖讘"讗 in the 诪砖诪专转 讛讘讬转, and the 诪讗讬专讬, and the 专"谉, and also the 专讘讬谞讜 讬专讜讞诐, and it's 驻住拽谞'讚 in 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱 that even if it's a 讞讜诇讛 砖讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛, if the person is sick and his life is not in danger, still he's allowed to eat 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐. And the reason is not because it is only an 讗讬住讜专 讚专讘谞谉, because the 讚讬谉 is that a 讞讜诇讛 砖讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛 is not allowed to eat 讗讬住讜专 讚专讘谞谉 neither. But by 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 it is different, because 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 there is no 讗讬住讜专 in the food itself. The 讗讬住讜专 is because it was cooked by a 讙讜讬 that the 讞讻诪讬诐 didn't want that the 讙讜讬 should cook. So the 讞讻诪讬诐 were not 诪讞诪讬专 by 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 more than they were 诪讞诪讬专 by 诪注砖讛 砖讘转. By 砖讘转 the 讚讬谉 is that you're allowed to have a 讙讜讬 do all the 诪诇讗讻讜转 for you if you are sick, even if it's 讞讜诇讛 砖讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛. If a 讙讜讬 does it, it's allowed. So the 讞讻诪讬诐 were not 诪讞诪讬专 concerning 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 more than by 诪注砖讛 砖讘转, and therefore they allowed that 讘讬砖讜诇 of a 讙讜讬 concerning a 讞讜诇讛 砖讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛. Or another reason is because the whole 讗讬住讜专 of 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 is because it might bring to 讞转谞讜转, and might bring to intermarriage, to socialize. But when you cook for a sick person, this will not bring to any 拽讬专讜讘 讛讚注转, any socializing, especially that why would we ask the 讙讜讬 to cook? Because a 讬讬讚 is not allowed to cook. It's a time when the 讬讬讚 can't cook, and that's why we asked the 讙讜讬. So then we should say that this should bring to 拽讬专讜讘 讛讚注转, we don't expect. Another reason is given that since by 讘讬砖讜诇 注讻讜"诐 the 讞讻诪讬诐 said that if there is a 讛讬讻专, there is something done to show that this is different, you are allowed to eat it. For instance, if the 讬讬讚 put a piece of wood in, or he started the fire, etc., then you're allowed. So if you're allowed when you make a 讛讬讻专, so the reason you would ask the 讙讜讬 to cook for the 讞讜诇讛 is because it is a day the 讬讬讚 can't cook, because it's 砖讘转 for instance, so that itself is the best 讛讬讻专. And therefore, you're allowed to ask a 讙讜讬 to cook for a 讬讬讚 who is sick even if it's 讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛 on 砖讘转, and he's allowed to eat it. But
according to this 住讘专讗, this is only on 砖讘转 when the 砖讘转 itself is the 讛讬讻专. But to ask a 讙讜讬 to cook for a 讬讬讚 who is sick and 讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛 in the weekdays, it 讟讗拽注 wouldn't be allowed. And there's also a 诪讞诇讜拽转 in the 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 concerning the 讚讬谉 that if you did cook for the 讞讜诇讛 砖讗讬谉 讘讜 住讻谞讛 on 砖讘转 through a 讙讜讬, and it was some of it was left over for 诪讜爪讗讬 砖讘转, is that allowed to be eaten? So some say you're allowed because now when you're going to eat it, there is no 讞砖砖 of 讞转谞讜转 in this food, and some say that after 砖讘转 you're not allowed to eat it, and not only other people can't eat it, even the 讞讜诇讛 himself can't eat it. On 砖讘转, when there was no choice, a 讬讬讚 couldn't cook, so he had to ask a 讙讜讬 to cook, so the 讞讜诇讛 was allowed to eat it. But after 砖讘转, now even the sick person himself can't eat it. And certainly that another person who is not sick, certainly according to these 专讗砖讜谞讬诐 cannot eat.
