LIKKUTEI SICHOS: VOLUME 6

Likkutei Sichos, Vol. 6: Purim (Part 2)

Megillah means gilui and Esther means hester, and Purim itself carries both a hidden name and the year's greatest revealed simcha.

Part of Likkutei Sichos: Volume 6 · 27:53

Traces how the same two poles, concealment and revelation, run through the Megillah's own name, the holiday's name, and its practice of drinking until ad delo yada. A long detour through the Alter Rebbe's Torah Ohr explains why lashon hakodesh is like natural stone while every other language is manmade brick, using Sefer Yetzirah's letter combinations to show it. The shiur closes with the practical lesson of Mordechai and Esther's response to the gezeirah: teshuvah and tefillah came before any political move to reach Achashverosh, even at real cost to Esther's own safety.

Recap: the Megillah's own hester and gilui, and why Purim carries both

We're holding page 191, 住注讬祝 讛 on top of the second column. So we had many 注谞讬谞讬诐 here already in the 砖讬讞讛. Number one, why the name is in Persian, not in 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖, 驻讜专讬诐 not 讙讜专诇. Why is the name for the 爪专讛, not for the 讬砖讜注讛, not for the salvation? Want to turn around? Then we had why is 讛砖诐's name not mentioned in the 诪讙讬诇讛? And then we see that in the 诪讙讬诇讛 there is a a big 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专. Not only because 讛砖诐's name is not mentioned, also because the name of the 诪讙讬诇讛 is 讗住转专. The 诪讙讬诇讛 is called 诪讙讬诇转 讗住转专, and 讗住转专 is from 讛住转专 讗住转讬专, so that's a 诇砖讜谉 讛住转专, that means there is a concealment of godliness. But at the same time we find in the 诪讙讬诇讛, the name of the 诪讙讬诇讛 I mean, we find 讙讬诇讜讬, not 讛住转专. 诪讙讬诇讛 comes from the word 讙讬诇讜讬. I'm just thinking now: is it just because it sounds alike, or the words 讙讬诇讜讬 and 诪讙讬诇讛 are the same, from the same 砖讜专砖? I'm just thinking with myself, I'm not so familiar with with 讚拽讚讜拽, or with 讚拽讚讜拽. Is it, is it, sometimes we have two things that they sound the same, so we make a connection, but is the word 诪讙讬诇讛 from the 砖讜专砖 of 讙讬诇讜讬? I'm thinking probably yes. When you write a 诪讙讬诇讛, you are writing down something to reveal to other people, right? Yeah, I'm saying it's, I think it's from the same 砖讜专砖 as 讙讬诇讜讬, which is like you're 诪讙诇讛 things. 住转诐 it is. So 诪诪讬诇讗 the word 诪讙讬诇讛 is 讙讬诇讜讬, and the word 讗住转专 讗住转专 is 讛住转专. Okay. And the same thing, the two opposites we find in the 讬讜诐 讟讜讘 itself, not only in the name of the 诪讙讬诇讛. On one hand, as we said, the 诪讙讬诇讛 is called on name of 驻讜专讬诐, which is not 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖, so that's a 讛住转专. It's different language, so 讛住转专. At the same time, on 驻讜专讬诐 there is such a great 讙讬诇讜讬, the 注谞讬谉 of drinking 注讚 讚诇讗 讬讚注 讘讬谉 讗专讜专 讛诪谉 诇讘专讜讱 诪专讚讻讬, that's the greatest 讙讬诇讜讬, because the greatest 砖诪讞讛! So the 注谞讬谉 of the name of this is 讛住转专, because it's in a different language, and this is 讙讬诇讜讬, because the greatest 砖诪讞讛.

Lashon kodesh versus every other language: Sefer Yetzirah's letter combinations and the Alter Rebbe's stones and bricks

I just want to explain that I think the 专讘讬 was 诪专讜诪讝 this in the beginning, we bringing from 转讜专讛 讗讜专, I don't know, why is it if it's in a different language, not in 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖, why that's just a 讛住转专? Okay, it doesn't, I don't see it. Because in 转讜专讛 讗讜专, not in the place he brings, that's 诪讙讬诇转 讗住转专, he bring, in 转讜专讛 讗讜专 in 驻专砖转 诪砖驻讟讬诐, the 讗诇讟注专 专讘讬 explains the difference between 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 and other languages. And he explains that the difference between 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 and other languages, I think we learned about this once, I spoke about this once, is similar to the difference between, if I hear from you, then I know we did, because I don't remember if I did or I didn't, so the difference between... In that 砖讬讞讛, that's we we the difference between what? So what does he say? Similar to the difference between 讗讘谞讬诐 and... What's the other side? Okay, so I think I did speak about it, but I guess we have to do it again. 讗讘谞讬诐 are rocks, and 诇讘谞讬诐 are bricks. What's the difference in 讗讘谞讬诐 and 诇讘谞讬诐? You chop out rocks from the mountain. You just chop them out, but you didn't make them. 诇讘谞讬诐 are made by people. 诇讘谞讬诐 is taking cement and you make 诇讘谞讬诐. 讜转讛讬 诇讛诐 讛讞诪专 诇讗讘谉, it says by the 诪讙讚诇 讘讘诇 when they made the tower of 讘讘诇, it says they made it through 诇讘谞讬诐 because they didn't have, 专砖状讬 says, 讗讬谉 讗讘谞讬诐 讘讘讘诇. 讘讘诇 is a place doesn't have rocks. For some reason, the mountains there, they don't have rocks. So in 讘讘诇 they only could make 诇讘谞讬诐, they could take cement and make 诇讘谞讬诐 out of it. 诇讘谞讬诐 is made by people. Why is this connected to the two languages? 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 is by the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, that's the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专's language, and other languages are made by people. Where did the English language come from? People decided or it just turned out that this the word table became a table, but that's all made up, it's not real. 砖讜诇讞谉 means a table, that's the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 said, and that's 讗诪转. And the table fits to the letters 砖讬谉, 诇诪讚, 讞讬转, 谞讜谉, it fits to the word, to the sound of 砖讜诇讞谉, whatever, I don't know how, but it fits. It's 讗诪转. And the fact that it's called a table or a chair, that's made up. 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 is by the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, other languages are made up, so this is like 讗讘谞讬诐 is 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 and 诇讘谞讬诐 is other languages. But what does it got to do with bricks Yeah? Yeah, didn't make them, they decided. The people made them up. But the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 put into their mind they should make it up. They all, yeah, they made them up based on 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖. And if you figure out, I think somebody even wrote a book, I forgot his name, all the English words which are similar to the words in 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖. A lot of times when you just speak and you say the words, you see exactly how it is. Before, I was talking to, the word part and the word 驻专讟, isn't the same thing? This is a 驻专讟 of this, this is a detail, this is a part of it. Comes from the same word. You'll find half of the words. But otherwise they're made up. But my question is what does it got to do 讘讻诇诇, besides the fact this is 讘讬讚讬 砖诪讬诐, this is 讘讬讚讬 讗讚诐, what does it got to do with languages, 讗讘谞讬诐 or 诇讘谞讬诐? No, no, besides the fact, it could have been anything. It could have been plastic, and plastic made by a person or something, or a rock. Ah? No, no. I'm saying where do we see that we want to talk about languages, we compare it to rocks or bricks, some connection between that that object? God knows, kept the languages. Now I'll give you a hint what I mean, maybe I'm not 住驻专 讬爪讬专讛. I don't expect you to be 讘拽讬 in 住驻专 讬爪讬专讛. If you would be, you maybe could make a 讙讜诇诐. Two rocks could build two houses, three rocks could build six houses, four rocks could build 24 houses, five rocks could build 120 houses. What does that mean? But what, what is it talking about? What what does it mean? What is the 驻砖讜讟 驻砖讟 in this in this 诪砖谞讛? What's the 驻砖讟 in the 诪砖谞讛? What do we call it in in 讬讬讚讬砖注 砖驻专讗讱, in 讗讜谞讚讝注专 砖驻专讗讱? Used to speak like like we're supposed to like, what is what is that called? You have a few letters, you can make a few If you have two letters, you can make two 爪讬专讜驻讬诐, two combinations. 讗诇祝 and 讘讬转, you could make 讗诇祝-讘讬转 or 讘讬转-讗诇祝, that's all you could make from these two. They both have a meaning: 讗诇祝-讘讬转 means 讗讘, a father, 讘讬转-讗诇祝 means 讘讗, came. If you have three letters, how many words could you make? Can make six. You can make, keep a So from three letters, you can make six words. From four letters, how much could you make? 24. 24. And for five letters? 120? 120. How do you figure? I told you last time, I'll tell you again, there are certain general concepts that you should remember, you should keep just to know it as general information. It's not 讛诇讻讜转, it's not just interesting general 诪讜砖讙讬诐, interesting 注谞讬谞讬诐. If you have two letters, you come up with two words. The next number, multiply the answer of before. If I ask you, \"How much does two letters make up?\" The answer is two. If you want to know three letters, multiply three by two, that's six. So the answer of that is six. Now, the next number, which is four, to know the answer, multiply that by the previous answer, so you multiply four by six is 24. When you have five, so you have to multiply 5 * 24, it's 120. And how much would be six? 6 * 120. Where do we see the 120? These are simple things that you should 砖诐 讗诇拽讬诐 is 讗诇祝, 诇诪讚, 讜讜讬讬讟注专, what's the next letter? 讛, okay. I was expecting someone to say a 拽讜祝. 讗诇祝, 诇诪讚, and a 讛, 讬讜讚, and a 诪诐, five letters. How many 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 are there? So that's why Now, it says in 讞住讬讚讜转 that the last 48 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 of 砖诐 讗诇拽讬诐 are 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 starting with which letters? You have 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 starting with 讗诇祝, right? Then you can have the letters starting with 诇诪讚, then with 讛, then with 讬讜讚. So the last two are 讬讜讚, 诪诐. From the last two 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 you will have how many words will come out if you start these five letters with a 讬讜讚 or with a 诪诐? 48. Each one is 24, you have 48. 讗诇拽讬诐 goes on the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, there's only one 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专. But there is a 讬讜讚, 诪诐, the 诇砖讜谉 讗诇拽讬诐 has 专讘讬诐. Because there are 诇砖讜谉 专讘讬诐 by 讗诇拽讬诐, that's why there's 砖讬讬讻讜转 to be 拽诇讬驻讜转. 拽诇讬驻讛 is the opposite of 讗讞讚讜转 讛壮. Why is there 砖讬讬讻讜转 in 拽诇讬驻讛? Because there is 讗诇拽讬诐. So it says in 讞住讬讚讜转 that from the last two 爪讬专讜驻讬诐, 讗讜转讬讜转 of 砖诐 讗诇拽讬诐, which is 48 爪讬专讜驻讬诐, is the 诪拽讜专 to 拽诇讬驻讛, and that is called 讗讚诪转 讘谞讬 讞诐. What's 讞诐? 讞诐 is 48. How many 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 of 砖诐 讛讜讬壮? This is going to be a repeat of what I said before once. How many letters in 砖诐 讛讜讬壮? Four. So how many 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 should you have? 24. How come we always know there are there are Actually, the first letter, first word in 诪住讻转讗 讘讬爪讛 starts off with the word, 讘讬爪讛 砖谞讜诇讚讛 讘讬讜诐 讟讜讘. Why is there 讬状讘? It says in 转谞讬讗 that during the day shines the 12 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 of 砖诐 讛讜讬壮, at night shines the 12 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 of 砖诐 讗讚谞-讬. Why is there only 12? Why isn't there 24? So by 砖诐 讛讜讬壮 they have, you know, to me somebody answers because there are two 讛壮s, so really the same letter, so you only have three. But what about 砖诐 讗讚谞-讬? Besides that, the 专讘讬 writes that the two 讛壮s are not the same. They're two different This one is 讘讬谞讛, this one is 诪诇讻讜转. They're not the same, you can't say. So why is there only So the answer is, it's not true. It's not only Out of the 24, only 讬状讘 shine. Out of the 24 爪讬专讜驻讬诐 of 砖诐 讗讚谞-讬, only 12 shine at night. But there are really more. Anyway, what am I bringing all this in? This is all because the 诇砖讜谉 of the 住驻专 讬爪讬专讛 讘谞讜讙注 words, how many words can you make, he uses the term 讗讘谞讬诐. He says two 讗讘谞讬诐, which means two letters, make two houses; three stones make six houses. So he calls the letters the words like houses and stones. That teaches us that language, words, has to do with stones. Now, in the stones 讙讜驻讗 there are two types of stones, which means there are two types of languages. There's language which are similar to stones, rocks, and there are language similar to bricks. What's the difference? Rocks is 讘讬讚讬 砖诪讬诐, it's made naturally by the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, and bricks are made by people. Applying it to languages, 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 is made by the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, so 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖 is like 讗讘谞讬诐 and and other languages is like 诇讘谞讬诐, 诇砖讜谉 讘谞讬 讗讚诐. So in 转讜专讛 讗讜专 in 诪砖驻讟讬诐 the 讗诇讟注专 专讘讬 explains the 讞住专讜谉 of the other languages, that they're not made by the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专. He brings out a 诪注诇讛: if you use the other languages to learn 转讜专讛, you accomplish more than you use 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖. Using 诇砖讜谉 拽讜讚砖, you're using a holy thing, but if you bring 转讜专讛 into another language which is not from the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专, then you're 诪注诇讛 it, that's a bigger 诪讚专讙讛, fine. But as far as 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转, there is less 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转 in other languages. So besides the fact that 驻讜专讬诐 represents the 爪专讛, which is shows a 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专, when the 讗讬讚谉 were in the 爪专讛 it was no 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转, the name that it's in 诇砖讜谉 and other 诇砖讜谉 already is a 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专, the fact it's in another 诇砖讜谉. So here we see the two 注谞讬谞讬诐: on one hand it's a 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专, so when you talk about what's today, today is 驻讜专讬诐, so we're mentioning a 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专, and at the same time what's today? The day of the greatest 砖诪讞讛 of the year. So that's 讙讬诇讜讬. So we have in 驻讜专讬诐 two opposites. On one hand we have a real 讛注诇诐 it talks about 讛注诇诐 讜讛住转专, and the other side a real 讙讬诇讜讬. So now let's continue.

Mordechai and Esther's first move against the gezeirah: teshuvah before any political maneuvering

爪讜 驻讗专砖讟讬讬谉 讚讗住, now to understand how do the two things get together? We have to first bring a certain 讛讜专讗讛, among there're among many other 讛讜专讗讜转, it's we're not saying this is the only 讛讜专讗讛, there are many 讛讜专讗讜转, but this is one of them that has to do with the 诪讙讬诇讛 驻讜谉 驻讜专讬诐. You could take all kinds of 讛讜专讗讜转, 注诇 驻讬 拽讘诇讛, 注诇 驻讬 讞住讬讚讜转, all kinds, and then there is a very simple lesson that you take from the 诪讙讬诇讛, from the story. Okay, very simple 讟讗拽注. This is a lesson that the 专讘讬 even talks about in 讞诇拽 讗壮. 讞诇拽 讗壮 讘讻诇诇 讜讘壮 this is the simple 砖讬讞讜转 and they're 讘讚专讱 讻诇诇, not always, but usually very simple things, very practical, simple, down to earth. This is in there too. Here the 专讘讬 is more sophisticated with the way it's written, but there it's very simple. Time of the 讙讝讬专讛 of 讛诪谉, the 讗讬讚谉 had very important representatives in the government. What does that mean? Just the place where his residence was? He was an officer in the government. He was a minister in, I don't know, the cabinet, or whatever you call it, he was an officer in the government. That's why it says 注讚 讻讚讬 讻讱 there's a interesting 驻砖讟, I have to tell you. This is getting to 驻讜专讬诐 so it's good to know, you come to a place and they ask you to say a 讜讜讗专讟, so you can say a 讜讜讗专讟 from a 砖讬讞讛, but there are so many other 诪驻专砖讬诐. There's an interesting 驻砖讟, I think the 诪谞讜转 讛诇讜讬 says it, I'm not sure, or the 诪讞讬专 讬讬谉 from the 专诪状讗, one of them, the famous 诪驻专砖讬诐 say this 驻砖讟 in the 诪讙讬诇讛, very interesting 驻砖讟. First of all, what's the I mean we speak in the 诪讙讬诇讛, whole 诪讙讬诇讛 about the 讬讬讚谉 in 砖讜砖谉 were crying, and was 谞讘讜讻讛, and then the 讬讬讚谉 in 砖讜砖谉 were happy. So what is the 驻砖讟 讗讬砖 讬讛讜讚讬? 讗讬砖, there was a man. That's one thing. Then if you look in the 诪讙讬诇讛 if we look in the 诪讙讬诇讛, when it talks about 砖讜砖谉, sometimes it calls it 砖讜砖谉, sometimes it calls it 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. What's the difference? So there's an interesting 讜讜讗专讟, who is the... Oh, see this 转讬拽讜谉 here? It probably has a 诪讙讬诇讛 in it. Let's let's see. Where is it? In the back? Yeah, okay. I'm not so familiar because I'm not a 讘注诇 拽讜专讗 and I just don't use this. Okay, here. Let's give an example: 讗讬砖 讬讛讜讚讬 讛讬讛 讘砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛, 讘砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛 讜砖诪讜 诪专讚讻讬. Okay, let's go back to let's go to the beginning of the 诪讙讬诇讛. Yeah. Here it's 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. Then he says, later on, Okay, there it doesn't say Then it says after the the 讙讝讬专讛 was over, here, let's find the 驻住讜拽. She came... Trying to find the 驻住讜拽讬诐 here. Okay, after she told him what happened, So they sent out the second letters, and then what does it say here? And then it goes And then after they killed all the people, it says One time it says 砖讜砖谉, and one time it says 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. What's the reason? So this is what the this 诪驻专砖 says. There were two places. There was a place called 砖讜砖谉 and a place called 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛 was the capital. No 讗讬讚 was allowed to live in 砖讜砖谉. 砖讜砖谉 is the outskirts of 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. That's where 讗讬讚谉 were supposed to live, able to live. That's why when it says 讜讛注讬专 砖讜砖谉 谞讘讜讻讛, who cried? The people of 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛 didn't cry, 'cause it's all 讙讜讬诐. Then it says 讜讛注讬专 砖讜砖谉 爪讛诇讛 讜砖诪讞讛, the 讗讬讚谉 who lived in 砖讜砖谉 were happy. When he made the party 诇讻转讞讬诇讛, it says he made a party for everybody in 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. So mainly it was for the 讙讜讬诐, and then the 讗讬讚谉 from 砖讜砖谉 were also invited, but the 注讬拽专 was for 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛. That's why it says Yeah? That was later. I don't know if she lived in it, but if yeah, she's probably part of his family, so so why did why was 诪专讚讻讬 allowed to live in 砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛? 'Cause he's part of the government. He was a minister in the government, so they gave him a special permission. But that's why it says 讜讗讬砖 讬讛讜讚讬 讛讬讛 讘砖讜砖谉 讛讘讬专讛, one man, one 讗讬讚讬砖注, one one 讗讬讚. So the 专讘讬 says here, at that time, the 讗讬讚谉 had great representatives, 讞砖讜讘注 representatives in the government. First of all, 诪专讚讻讬 was 讬讜砖讘 讘砖注专 讛诪诇讱. What does that mean He lived there. Why? Because he was part of the government. He lived in the capital. He saved the king's life. Esther was the queen. Not only is she queen, he liked her. And this was all before the 讙讝讬专讛. So at the time when the 讙讝讬专讛 came, was politically the best time for the 讗讬讚谉, the most secure time a 讗讬讚 could imagine to be. Imagine when in the government you have people and you have your own representatives and 讗讬讝 诇讻讗讜专讛 讘砖注转 诪注谉 讛讗讟 讙注讜讜讗讜住讟 驻讜谉 讚注专 讙讝讬专讛, so when they found out about the 讙讝讬专讛, 讛讗讟 诪注谉 诇讻诇 诇专讗砖 讙注讚讗专驻讟 谞讜爪谉- 讛讗讟 诪注谉 诇讻诇 诇专讗砖 讙注讚讗专驻讟 谞讜爪谉 谞讗专 讚讬 驻讗专砖讟讬讬注专, the first thing they should have used these representatives, 讝讬讬 讝讗诇谉 讝讬讱 诪砖转讚诇 讝讬讬谉 讘讬讬诐 诪诇讱 讗讞砖讜专讜砖 to 诪讘讟诇 讝讬讬谉 the 讙讝讬专讛. They should go to 讗讞砖讜专讜砖 and talk to him, try to 诪讘讟诇 the 讙讝讬专讛, that's the first thing. You send people in that you have people close in the government, send them there. He put on 砖拽 讜讗驻专, put on sack and ashes, and he went into the city. What did he do? When he went out throughout the city, what did he do? He screamed. What did he scream? You guys ever heard the tape, a Purim tape? Ah, which kids didn't hear a Purim tape? In my house, I used to play it every day, ten hours. Why did he scream? That's the first thing he did. Then he sent to 讗住转专 a message that she should go to the king. And the truth is, the 专讘讬 says he sent her he sent her the message that she should go to the king. Is that really what happened? What made him speak What made him send a message to 讗住转专? She sent him a message first! She heard that he's going around in a sack, so she sent her guy to come out and ask him what's going on, so he sent her back. So he didn't even plan at that moment on even doing anything. He went out and just was talking about 转砖讜讘讛. That was 诪专讚讻讬. Esther did the same thing. 讘砖注转 讝讬 讛讗讟 讙注讚讗专驻讟 讙讬讬谉 讗诇 讛诪诇讱, when she had to go to the king, 讛讗讟 讝讬 爪讜 讗诇注诪注谉 注专砖讟谉 讗讬讘注专讙注讙注讘谉 爪讜 诪专讚讻讬, first thing she said to 诪专讚讻讬, 诇讱 讻谞讜住 讗转 讻诇 讛讬讛讜讚讬诐, go gather all the 讗讬讚谉, 讜爪讜诪讜 注诇讬, go fast, 讜讗诇 转讗讻诇讜 讜讗诇 转砖转讜 砖诇砖转 讬诪讬诐 诇讬诇讛 讜讬讜诐, fast and don't eat for three days and three nights. I'm also going to fast. I mean that I and my servants are going to fast. That's the first thing. And then she said she's going to go to the king. So here also she started with 专讜讞谞讬讜转讚讬拽注 注谞讬谞讬诐 before the 讙砖诪讬讜转. Just like 诪专讚讻讬 before he started to try to go to the king he called for 转砖讜讘讛, 专讜讞谞讬讜转. Same thing with 讗住转专. And by her the 拽砖讬讗 is even more. In order to be accepted by 讗讞砖讜专讜砖 she had to find grace in his eyes. Naturally, if you fast for three days, you don't look your best and you lose your 讞谉. And she was supposed to do everything to find 讞谉 in the eyes of 讗讞砖讜专讜砖. And if you look at the story, 转讻诇'住, what happened 讘驻讜注诇? When she came, did she find grace right away? What does the 诪讚专砖 say? He didn't he wasn't planning to put out this the sceptre. What happened? The 诪诇讗讱 came and pushed it and this, because she I assume she didn't look too good. Because after three days of fasting. So why did she do it? 谞讜, so the answer is going to be that when it comes to a problem, to anything you do, and you have to do an 注爪讛 讘讙砖诪讬讜转, an 注爪讛 讘专讜讞谞讬讜转, what's the most important one, which comes first? You have to know what counts. You have to do everything 讘讙砖诪讬讜转, too. 讗讬谉 住讜诪讻讬谉 注诇 讛谞住, there is 讛诇讻讛 you can't rely on miracles. And you have to do everything What does the 驻住讜拽 end? You got to do 讘讙砖诪讬讜转. As the expression goes, God helps those who help themselves. I don't know what the 讙讜讬诐 mean with this statement, but what we mean with this statement is you got to help, you got to do 讘讙砖诪讬讜转. You can't say rely on the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专. Famous joke with the ships, with the guy who drowned. There's a guy drowning and he davened to the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专, \"Please help me.\" And a ship passed by and wanted to pick him up and he said, \"No, no, I'm relying on the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专.\" And then the second ship, a few ships passed by, and he didn't go.
