Rabbi Schapiro on the Parshah: Tzav

VAYIKRA

Parshas Tzav's opening word prompts a look at the two meanings behind the word mitzvah -- tziyui, commandment, and tzavta, connection -- and whether they describe two separate stages of a mitzvah or the same one. The shiur argues that the mere fact of being commanded already forges the bond between a Jew and Hashem, which is why even an aveirah is called a sin only because the connection was already there.

VAYIKRA

A vort on Parshas Tzav, delivered on Shabbos HaGadol, connecting the parsha's content to the Pesach prohibition against eating chametz.
