LIKKUTEI SICHOS: VOLUME 3 - YUD SHEVAT

Likkutei Sichos, Vol. 3: Yud Shevat (Part 2)

Why the hint to Rashbi, the Arizal, and the Baal Shem Tov sits specifically in Targum, and how a chassidishe remez must confirm a truth rather than invent one.

Part of Likkutei Sichos: Volume 3 - Yud Shevat · 32:57

Continuing from the previous shiur, this sicha explains why the remez to the three pillars of pnimiyus haTorah appears in Targum rather than in the verse itself: Targum transforms a secular language into a holy one, paralleling the future geulah's transformation of ra into good, unlike the exodus from Mitzrayim, where the Yidden had to flee because the evil within them was never actually reworked. The shiur then lays out the Rebbe's rule for legitimate remazim -- they confirm an idea already known to be true rather than manufacture one, illustrated through Purim Torah and the Rambam's account of the esrog -- and closes with a moving string of remazim tied to Yud Shevat itself, including a missing letter in the word shlita and a photograph of the Frierdiker Rebbe that fell at the exact moment of his histalkus.

Why the Remez to Rashbi, the Arizal, and the Baal Shem Tov Is in Targum, Not the Verse Itself

Okay, we'll continue with the sichah, which means that anybody who's looking at something else has to put it away, and we are learning the sichah now. If you're looking into the Gemara, you put away the Gemara. If you're looking into \"Here's My Story\", you put away \"Here's My Story\". So, you don't have to look at my picture, look at me. Okay, we're holding here in the beginning of the sichah, close to the beginning, the Rebbe explains that on the The Targum says on the pasuk, \"讜讘谞讬 讬砖专讗诇 讬讜爪讗讬诐 讘讬讚 专诪讛,\" that the Yidden went out from 诪爪专讬诐 讘讬讚 专诪讛 with uplifted hand, the Targum says 讘专讬砖 讙诇讬, and the word 讘专讬砖, says in sefarim, is the 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 专讘讬 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 讬讜讞讗讬, 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 专讘讬 讬爪讞拽 讘谉 专讘讬 砖诇诪讛, and 专讘讬 讬砖专讗诇 讘注诇 砖诐 讗讜 专讘讬 讬砖专讗诇 讘谉 砖专讛. So, the Rashbi, the Arizal, and the Baal Shem Tov, and this shows, the Rebbe said, the connection between them and going out of galut because the pasuk \"讬讜爪讗讬诐 讘讬讚 专诪讛\" or 讘专讬砖 讙诇讬 is talking about going out of Mitzrayim. So this is where we're holding, on top of the second page here. The Zohar says that with the Sefer HaZohar, we'll go out of galut. What does that mean? That means that when you go out of this galut, we'll hold up the Sefer HaZohar? It means with the zechut of learning Zohar, we're going to go out of galut. What does it mean learning Zohar? They were 诪讙诇讛 驻谞讬诪讬讜转 讛转讜专讛, but they did it only to select people. Mashiach will come, we know, when 驻谞讬诪讬讜转 讛转讜专讛 will be 谞转讙诇讛 in the form that it'll be spread out to everybody, 讗讜谉 讗讜诪注讟讜诐, 讘讬讝 讗讬谉 讞讜抓, all over, till all the way outside, 讗讜谉 讚注专 注谞讬谉 讛讗讟 讝讬讱 讗谞讙注讛讜讬讘谉 诪讬讟 讚注诐 讘注诇 砖诐 讟讜讘. That started with the He was 诪讙诇讛 讞住讬讚讜转 to everybody without 讛讙讘诇讜转, and many places the Rebbe writes that it's not the Baal Shem Tov, actually, he is, but more when the Alter Rebbe came because this inyan of being 诪讙诇讛 讞住讬讚讜转 in such a way only came with the Alter Rebbe. And that fits to the Zohar. And he see 讛注专讛 7, the Rebbe brings that from the Zohar, it says that when will Mashiach come? When 讬转驻专谞住讜谉 诪讬谞讬讛, that with the Zohar, which means 驻谞讬诪讬讜转 讛转讜专讛, Yidden will learn it in the form of parnasah. What's parnasah? Parnasah really means food. What is food? When you eat food, you internalize it, and it becomes part of you. What do you mean that the Zohar will become your food? 驻谞讬诪讬讜转 讛转讜专讛 will become your food. That means you'll really understand it. If you learn Kabbalah just azey vey and, you know, you learn about words that you don't understand, you think you're saying, you're just, you know, you learn there's this olam, that olam, that's not parnasah. That doesn't become one with you. 讞住讬讚讜转 讞讘状讚 is trying to explain it that it's 讗驻诇讬讬讙谉 讗讬谉 砖讻诇. So, really, what it says in the Zohar, that when will Mashiach come? When 驻谞讬诪讬讜转 讛转讜专讛 is going to become part of your seichel, and that happened through the Alter Rebbe and on. In Torah is all bediyuk, the Rebbe says, everything in Torah is exact, It's interesting that the 专诪讝 of the word 讘专讬砖 is not in pasuk. In pasuk, it says The word 讘专讬砖 is in Targum. So, the 专诪讝 to these three is in the Targum translation of the Chumash, not in the 驻住讜拽 itself. That must be 讘讚讬讜拽 cuz everything in Torah is 讘讚讬讜拽. And the Rebbe explains what's the connection between Targum and these three, who are the source, let's say, of 驻砖讜讟 the 驻住讜拽 is talking about going out of Mitzrayim, not about this Galus. So in 驻住讜拽 is a 专诪讝 for the 讙讗讜诇讛. The 驻住讜拽 is not talking about this 讙讗讜诇讛. The 驻住讜拽 has nothing to do with this 讙讗讜诇讛, it's talking about Mitzrayim. 讘谞讬 讬砖专讗诇 讬讜爪讗讬诐, they went out of Galus, which Galus? So even though we connected it before in the 砖讬讞讛 to this 讙讗讜诇讛, but still it's only a 专诪讝. In Targum, the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 is more 讘讙讬诇讜讬. Why? The Rebbe explains, what is the 注谞讬谉 of Targum? 讚讬 讗讬讘注专讝注爪讜谞讙 驻讜谉 讚注专 转讜专讛 驻讜谉 诇砖讜谉 讛拽讜讚砖 讗讜讬祝 讗 讙诇讜转 砖驻专讗讱, in Targum, the translation of Torah to a different language, and this he calls the Galus language. Doesn't mean a 讙讜讬讬砖注 language. It is a 讙讜讬讬砖注 language, Targum is in Aramit, in Aramaic, it's 讙讜讬讬砖, it's a goyishe language. But the Yidden in those times spoke that language, so it's called a It's a 讙诇讜转 砖驻专讗讱, it's not 诇砖讜谉 讛拽讜讚砖. No, it's the closest to 诇砖讜谉 讛拽讜讚砖, but it doesn't be-emet. Since the Gemara was written in that language it became kodesh, like you say Yiddish is kedushah because Yidden learn Torah. Right, so it became that brought a kedushah, but be-emet it's not. So the reason it was translated That came because in the time of galut not everyone understood 诇砖讜谉 讛拽讜讚砖, and that's why they had to translate it in Targum. Actually, we see a connection to this sichah than when we learned the sichah before that the Targum, by writing the Torah in Targum, that brought kedushah, it started all of Moshe Rabbeinu, but 诇驻讜注诇 that brought kedushah of Torah, of 诇砖讜谉 讛拽讜讚砖 also in a 诇砖讜谉 讞讜诇, 讗讝 讗讜讬讱 驻讜谉 讞讜诇 讝讗诇 讜讜注专谉 拽讜讚砖, that even from a secular thing should become holy. 讗讜谉 讚讗住 讗讬讝 讗 讛讻谞讛 to the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛, and that's the hachanah to the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛. The 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 is going to be, as the Rebbe will explain, the fact that we'll transform not kedushah into kedushah, which is different than 讬爪讬讗转 诪爪专讬诐. The 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 is very similar to what Targum is supposed to accomplish. Targum is supposed to accomplish to transform a 诇砖讜谉 which is not holy and make it holy, Targum of a pasuk. That means you're transforming, you're transferring the kedushah of the pasuk into the Targum. So that's similar to what the geulah is going to be about, the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛, that we'll transform gashmiyut, not holy things, into holiness, which was not the case by Yetziat Mitzrayim. What happened by Yetziat Mitzrayim? When the Yidden went out of Mitzrayim, they didn't transform the bad into good. The ra remained. Where do we see it? When it says that the Yidden ran away from Mitzrayim, so the Alter Rebbe in Tanya asks, why did they have to escape? Who was chasing after them? Aderaba, Mitzrayim told them to go! Why does it say they escaped? So the Alter Rebbe says they didn't escape from Mitzrayim, they escaped from the Mitzrayim that's inside them. They were be'emet in a low madregah. They were be'emet in a very low madregah in Mitzrayim. 注讚 讻讚讬 讻讱 it says they went down all the way to 诪状讟 砖注专讬 讟讜诪讗讛, the lowest you could get. What made them get out? They didn't work on themselves to change themselves over to become good. So what happened? What does it say in the Haggadah? When there's a 讙讬诇讜讬 诪诇诪注诇讛 and you didn't work on it, you know what happens? As long as the giluy is there, you're all the way up. When that giluy will leave, you're back to where you started. If you work on yourself and you change yourself, so then you reach a level that that's where you are. But in this case, that's not what happened. The Eibishter schlepped them out, and that's why they ran away.

Yetzias Mitzrayim vs the Future Geulah: Why the Ra Remained Then but Will Vanish Now

They ran away from themselves! They ran away from Mitzrayim because they knew that they want to stay away because soon, soon, the giluy will go away and they'll be back where they are. So they ran away to make sure that they're not caught back. That's not a normal thing, the Eibishter had to do it. The Eibishter had to make him decide. On 讚专讱 讛讟讘注, after 诪讻转 讘讻讜专讜转, no one expected him to chase. Bigashmiyut? No. That's because the Eibishter did something against nature. 讞讝拽 讛砖诐 讗转 诇讘讜, 讛砖诐 made his heart strong, umimeila he decided to chase him. And even then it says he's thinking yeah or not, even after that, and the Eibishter forced him to run. I mean, the Yidden should expect that that should happen? Peshitus, it's not. But anyway, when they were leaving, certainly they had nothing to escape. The 诪爪专讬诐 were telling him, \"Go, go! 讙讜专砖 讬讙讜专砖诐.\" They chased them out, that way. They ran away because they were chasing, I mean not chasing after them. They were chasing them, \"Yeah, go further, go away!\" Because they wanted to make sure that no one else dies. So, by 诪爪专讬诐, they ran away from the 专注, but they didn't change the 专注. The 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 is going to be different. So, of of them will shtayt, on the new, on this 讙讗讜诇讛 it says, 讜讗转 专讜讞 讛讟讜诪讗讛 讗注讘讬专 诪谉 讛讗专抓, the 专讜讞 讛讟讜诪讗讛 will go away. The 专注 and tumah will go away completely. It says by the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 you won't have to run. There's a pasuk that says 讻讬 诇讗 讘讞驻讝讜谉 转爪讗讜, you will not go fast. 讜讘诪谞讜住讛 诇讗 转诇讻讜谉, you're not going to run away. 讜专讗讜 讻诇 讘砖专 讬讞讚讜, the whole world is going to see the truth. Even the physical body, the physical flesh will see 讗诇讜拽讜转 讘诪讜讞砖. So, since now we see that the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 is transforming 专注 into good, the inyan of Targum is the same idea of transforming the kedushah of the pasuk into, taking that kedushah, taking 讞讜诇 and transforming it into the kedushah of the pasuk. So, Targum and the 讙讗讜诇讛 讛注转讬讚讛 have something in common. Rashbi, HaAri z"l, Baal Shem Tov, that's why when we have the names of these three, a remez that the 讙讗讜诇讛 will come because of them, where is it? In Targum. 讜讜讬讬诇 讝讬讬注专 转讜专讛 讚讗址专祝 讝讬讬谉 讗址谉 讗讜驻挚谉 驻挚讜谉 讬驻讜爪讜 诪注讬谞讜转讬讱 讞讜爪讛, because the Torah of the Rashbi, the HaAri z"l, the Baal Shem Tov have to be out all over. 谞讬砖讟 讗址谞讟诇讜讬驻挚谉 驻挚讜谉 讞讜抓, it doesn't say that you should push away the 讞讜爪讛. 讞讜爪讛 is no good, so stay away from it, push it away. That's not what's going to happen. And that's why the, not only do we have the 专诪讝 to these three in 讬爪讬讗转 诪爪专讬诐, which is connected to 讬爪讬讗讛 of this 讙诇讜转, it's specifically in 转专讙讜诐 because that fits more to this 注谞讬谉. A yid hot mir geshriben,

A Second Remez for the Frierdiker Rebbe, and the Rule: Discover a Remez, Don't Manufacture One

the Rebbe continues, a yid wrote to me in a briv, in a letter, az in dem vort 讘专讬\"砖, in this word 讘专讬\"砖, which we said before has the 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 of the three, 讗讬讝 讗讜讬讱 诪专讜诪讝 the Rebbe 讘注诇 讛讛讬诇讜诇讗. So, the Frierdiker Rebbe is hinted here too. The 专' is 专讘, the 讬' is Yosef Yitzchak, the 讘' is 讘谉, and the 砖' is Shalom Dovber, that's the Frierdiker Rebbe's father, un oich Sterna Sara, dem Rebbe's muter. Interessant, Sterna Sara are both 砖's. So 讘专讬\"砖, 讘' 专' 讬' 砖', is 诪专讜诪讝 to the Frierdiker Rebbe's name. 讘讻诇诇 you can't make up your own 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转, because if you want to make up, you can make up whatever you want. You can find any 驻住讜拽, make a 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转, and decide that that's the 驻砖讟, make your own remez. If something is true anyway, then you might as well find a remez in it, it's no problem. I think I mentioned this once that the Rebbe spoke once very much 讘讗专讬讻讜转 about those people who make up 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转'谉, 专诪讝讬诐. And the Rebbe said, 诪注谞讟砖谉 诪讬讬谞注谉, people think, 讗址讝 讚专讜砖 讗讜谉 专诪讝, the 诇砖讜谉 he used was, is a 砖讚讛 驻专讜爪讛. You can do whatever you want. Open the 驻住讜拽 and you'll find, oh, here it says 讙-讚-讛, you can make words, you can make up, it's 讘讘讗 诪注砖讬讜转. You can't make up. The inyan works the opposite. When you know an inyan is true, because that's the inyan it says in Chassidus, in 拽讘诇讛, and it says in the Torah, whatever it says, you know it's true, then, if you find a remez, it's very good. But you can't base on the remez to make up a certain, oh, your inyan must be, your 诪讚专讙讛 probably 砖讬讬讻讜转 to this 住驻讬专讛 because your name has a 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转, 讗讬讱 讜讜讬讬住 讜讜讗指住. Who who are you to make this up? How could you decide? It works the other way. If you know that that's the inyan, you make make a remez. And that's why you find in Chassidus sometimes remezim which be'emet don't make any sense. But as a remez, it's fine, because the inyan is true. 诇诪砖诇, the famous example always given. Says in Chassidus that chesed is connected to 讝讻专 and 讙讘讜专讛 is connected to 谞拽讘讛. What's the 专讗讬讛 that chesed is connected to 讝讻专? Because there's a 驻住讜拽, 讝讻专 讞住讚讜. Why is it funny? Why is it no connection? 讝讻专 讞住讚讜 doesn't mean a 讝讻专, a male. 讝讻专 讞住讚讜 means you remember His 讞住讚. What kind of so what kind of vort is this? Gematria, same thing. So if this would if this would be the 诪拽讜专 that 讝讻专 is connected to 讞住讚, this I would say this is I would call this Purim Torah. It's exactly what Purim Torah is. Purim Torah is you find a word here, you find a word there, and you make a a connection. It's it's a joke, Purim Torah is a joke. But what is it? Chassidus knows the inyan is emes that 讝讻专 is connected to 讞住讚. You want to remember it, you make a a remez. A remez doesn't have to make sense. A remez is just 讝讻专 is the same sounding or the same word as 讝讻专 and it's to remind you, to keep you enough so you remember. A lot of times you find in the Gemara You find in Gemara 专诪讝讬诐, a lot of things which don't make sense. What's the remez to the 讝壮 诪砖拽讬谉? Who's gonna tell me? There are seven liquids which have a 讚讬谉 of 诪砖拽讛, that they are 诪讻砖讬专 诇拽讘诇 讟讜诪讗讛. Something food to become 讟诪讗 has to get wet first. But it only has to get wet if it gets wet with one of the seven types of liquid, not with every liquid in the world. So there's a remez to it, and the remez makes no sense, but it's just a way to remember. Who could tell me? 讬讚 砖讞讟 讚诐 means the hand 讛讗讟 讙注砖讗讻讟谉, slaughtered the blood. It makes a lot of sense, but it's just a way to remember. That's the way I remember it. What's the roshei teivos? I mentioned it, pay attention to what I say. Yayin, dvash, shemen, chalav, tal, 讚诇状转, dam, and then the real one, mayim. Okay, good. So I don't wanna say, but that's If you drink the 诪砖拽讛 in the wrong way or the wrong time by the wrong person, it's not it's not 诪砖拽讛, it's 诪拽讘诇 讟讜诪讗讛. If you drink at the right time, at a farbrengen, the right time and with the right limit. Has to be at night, not bein hashmashos. That's that's that's that's a time when you could go you could go a little bit crazy. Anyway, I give you another example of a remez. What's the remez for the 讝壮 诪爪讜转 讚专讘谞谉? The remez for the 讝壮 诪爪讜转 讚专讘谞谉. This goes into the category of What's the remez of 讝壮 诪爪讜转 讚专讘谞谉? The remez is, let's say this together then, 谞讜注 讘砖诪讞讛. Doesn't make a sense, I mean, just move move 讘砖诪讞讛, what does it have to do? But it's a remez to remember. So what's the 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转, 谞讜? Good! So we got it! So it's a remez. So this you have these remozim. So you can't make up your own word and say, \"Oh, you have a word, mimela this is the inyan.\" If you know the inyan and you find a So mimela here too the Rebbe says that if someone would make up the 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 of 讘专讗砖讬转 is 诪专讜诪讝 to this, someone will say the 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 讘专讗砖讬转, okay, is 诪专讜诪讝 to, 讗讬讱 讜讜讬讬住, Rabbi Moshe Leib Sassover, just one of the tzadikim. Even if it has some kind of remez, on what basis are we saying it? Because it's So the Rebbe, same thing. Someone says that the 讘专讗砖 is 诪专讜诪讝 to the 驻专讬注专讚讬拽注专 专讘讬. Make up your own things! But since we know it fits anyway, the emet is that it's the same inyan, so now might as well say. That's what the Rebbe says here. 讘讻诇诇, when you see 讗讬谉 讜讜注诇讟 and you saw something similar and that in Torah, it makes it much better. 讚注专 Rambam says in his 讛拽讚诪讛 to Peirush HaMishnayot, very interesting piece there, 讜讜注讙谉 讗转专讜讙, 讛讚住 讜讻讜诇讜. I'll say it by heart before we learn inside. Rambam asks a moradike kushya. And this, if someone doesn't know the answer, it's takeh a mind-boggling kushya. Listen, it's a gevaldike kushya! 讚讬 Gemara asks, for etrog 诇诪砖诇. It says in Torah, it doesn't say take an etrog, it says The first day of Sukkot take a nice fruit. So 讚讬 Gemara asks, what is it? How do you know it's an etrog? We don't know. Maybe it's a lemon, maybe it's a it's an apple, maybe it's How do you know? And 讚讬 Gemara brings an answer: 注抓 驻专讬, 注抓, that 注抓 and 驻专讬 at the same time, whatever, 讚讬 Gemara as explains how we know it's an etrog. That's 讚讬 Gemara. Then it says 注谞祝 注抓 注讘讜转. What is that? Hadasim. It doesn't say hadasim. Gemara asks, how do you know it means hadasim? We have a limud. 驻专注讙讟 讚注专 Rambam, what does 讚讬 Gemara mean? Gemara was written 2,000 years ago, let's say. When 讚讬 Gemara asks what do you take 驻专讬 注抓 讛讚专, what did that same 转谞讗 or 讗诪讜专讗 who asked that 砖讗诇讛, what did he do last year? He didn't take an etrog? He woke up one day and says what do we take? Everyone knew it's an etrog. So what's 讚讬 Gemara's 砖讗诇讛? 讚讬 Gemara's 砖讗诇讛 is is how do you know it's an etrog? Well, you know from million Yidden last year took an esrog, two years ago took an esrog, their fathers took an, I mean, it's known. So the Rambam says clearly the Gemara didn't have a she'eilah whether it's an esrog or not. The Gemara knew it's an esrog. The Gemara's 讙诪专讗'住 question is how does the word 驻专讬 注抓 讛讚专 mean an esrog? We know it's an esrog, it's no she'eilah, we're looking for the meaning in this word. That's what the Rebbe says, he brings it here. What's the pshat, if not for the answer of the Gemara, we wouldn't takeh know if we need an esrog, maybe we'd take something else? They knew what the 讚' 诪讬谞讬诐 are, there's esrog and 讛讚住 and 注专讘讜转 and lulav, they knew everything. So the 讞讻诪讬诐 found a 专诪讝 in the 驻住讜拽. So it starts the other way. It's not the 专诪讝 in the 驻住讜拽 is the one that teaches you the din. The din is there, and since the din, you found the 专诪讝. So the Rebbe says the same thing 讘谞讜讙注 all the 专诪讝讬诐 that we say, that you can't make up a remez and be based on the remez you'll remez you'll make up a inyan. You can't do that, because how do you know the inyan is right? So first it works that you know the inyan is right, and then it fits. So mimela the same thing here, the Rebbe says that those that person who wrote him that the word 讘专讗砖 has a remez to the Frierdiker Rebbe, even though it's his own thing, and the guy made up a remez, 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转, but it's true anyway, so we might as well connect it because we know that it's the inyan is going to be true. And we find takeh, 讘讻诇诇 there are certain 爪讚讬拽讬诐, let's call Rebbes, that their derech is remezim. They make all kinds of 专讗砖讬 转讬讘讜转 and gematriot and they're good at that. The Rebbe 诪讝诪谉 诇讝诪谉 did, but usually not. Why? Because that's not the derech. It's not, you say, an inyan to find a remez, you got to The Rebbe is masbir inyanim. 讜讜讬 谞讬砖讟 讜讜讬, after all, sometimes the Rebbe says remezim also, and sometimes he even quotes remezim that was told to him by others. 诇诪砖诇 注诇 讚专讱 with this 讘谞讜讙注 the Frierdiker Rebbe in the first year someone wrote this to the Rebbe. Someone wrote something else and the Rebbe 讞讝专'讟 it over, 讗诇讗 诪讗讬 讚注专 专讘讬 讞讝专'讟 a little different than the guy said. The person wrote to the Rebbe, the Rebbe says in the farbrengen, that he found a remez in the The specialty of 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟, I mean 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟 is a holy day. 讘讬讬 诪注砖专 讘讛诪讛 in the end of 驻专砖转 讘讞讜拽讜转讬, the 驻住讜拽 says: 讻诇 讗砖专 讬注讘讜专 转讞转 讛砖讘讟, whatever will go under the stick or under the whip, 讛注砖讬专讬 讬讛讬讛 拽讜讚砖 诇讛'. So the Rebbe says someone wrote to him, if you read it together, So here you see the remez in the Torah that Yud Shevat is a special holy day. That's what the Rebbe says. And the Rebbe explains it, that takeh azoy with all the inyanim. What we heard is that that's not what the guy wrote. The guy wrote like this: read the whole pasuk. What does that mean? The one that's going to come instead of the 讛砖讘讟 讛注砖讬专讬 will be holy. The guy wrote to the Rebbe a remez for the 专讘讬'住 谞砖讬讗讜转, for the 专讘讬'住 拽讚讜砖讛. He wrote to him, 讻诇 讗砖专 讬注讘讜专 will pass, will come. So even though the Rebbe didn't bring that prat, and it's made up by a guy, we could attest to it, and we could say the same thing that the Rebbe says here: that even though the Rebbe didn't say, a person said it, and the Rebbe didn't even say it, but the inyan fits. Chassidim have a chush to find the truth. Like chassidim darshend in the first line of Baasi Lagani, the word 讘诪拽讜诪讜, everyone knows this remez, it's the most famous one. How does the maamar start? In its place. So it's a mareh makom. What do you mean? It says in Midrash Rabbah, where? On the pasuk! Now, first of all, many times when you write it's on the pasuk, you say Here it says 讘诪拽讜诪讜. And second of all, why did the Frierdiker Rebbe have to write it bikhlal? You think he always writes if the Midrash is on the spot or not? Usually he doesn't do that. Why did he write it here? So if you look in the Midrash, who said this Rabbi Menachem, the son-in-law of, and it says a certain Tanna's name or Amora's name. So Chassidim taytsh'd: Bimkomo, in his place, the memaleh makom should be Rabbi Menachem chasanya, his eydem, his son-in-law Rabbi Menachem. So it's a remez. Now if someone will build a yesod of halacha or something on this remez, he's a little bit nuts. Because this is... But when you know the inyan is true, then you find a remez. A remez for 讘讗住讬? Yeah, this is already a later, later remez, yeah. So someone would make it up, someone will say, for a maamar starts with one word, oh, a siman! The vort has a 诪\"诐, it's a siman you have to learn the maamar starts with a 诪\"诐! Make up these things. But this is true anyway. Chitas and Rambam, that's the fact. So you can find a remez, so fine, it's fine. And Chassidim found other remazim.

Remarkable Yud Shevat Remazim: The Missing Yud, the Falling Picture, and More

Now everyone knows these things, I'm just repeating it because it's around 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟, and that in the maamar that came out of Baati Legani, in the 驻转讞 讚讘专 it says that 注诇 驻讬 驻拽讜讚转 讻\"拽 讗讚诪讜\"专 砖诇讬讟\"讗, the word 砖诇讬讟\"讗 was missing the 讬讜\"讚. That was came out for 砖讘转 驻专砖转 讘讗, and Friday night when the bachurim were learning it, they pointed out, look there's a 讬讜\"讚 missing. And the 讬讜\"讚 of 砖诇讬讟\"讗, 砖诇讬讟\"讗 means to live, and the 讬讜\"讚 was missing, and the 讬讜\"讚 is 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟. So that was a remez. Then they have other thing that this guy in Australia was sitting with the 专讘讬's picture, the guy Feiglin was sitting in Australia Shabbos morning, 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟, 8:00 in the morning or a quarter to eight. When in Australia is Shabbos morning, a quarter to eight, in New York is still Friday afternoon or something, or Friday night. But he was sitting in the middle of learning and the picture of the Frierdiker Rebbe was behind his him, and the picture fell in this punkt the time of the histalkus. Even though the histalkus was many hours later, but this was the time that in New York was the histalkus. In the the 讻讜诇诇 Chabad 诇讜讞 of that year, so you know in 讻讜诇诇 Chabad 诇讜讞 every Shabbos it says this is 砖诪讜转, 讜讗专讗, 讘讗, 讘砖诇讞. For some mistake, printing mistake, the word 讘讗 on 砖讘转 讘讗 was missing. So those are 专诪讝讬诐 诪诇诪注诇讛. Then there are Remazim from the Frierdiker Rebbe himself. When they asked the Frierdiker Rebbe if tomorrow they should come, because the Frierdiker Rebbe didn't daven downstairs, they would come up to make a minyan for kriah, not every Shabbos, the last few years because he was sick. But that Shabbos, 讬讜\"讚 砖讘讟, is the yahrzeit of his grandmother, so they asked him 爪讬 诪'讝讗诇 讗专讜讬驻讙讬讬谉 诪讗专讙谉? So he didn't answer, all he said, Tomorrow we'll go up. And tomorrow he went up. I mean there was all kinds of Remazim from the Frierdiker Rebbe, that's true. This is what the Rebbeim said is one thing, but even 讞住讬讚讬砖注 专诪讝讬诐 are also true. But the bottom line is that we know that this is true, and therefore the Rebbe is going to 讚专砖谞'谉 the remez of 讘专注砖 to the Frierdiker Rebbe. Chazarah? Yes. You guys, let's go. Line up. What? Wait, where? Motti. Well, then what do you think? That's the last place that did it. Blasberg! Blasberg! That's how You can spell it whichever way you want. Line, get in the line. Please, please, take a sefer and sit down and learn. Come on, take a sefer and sit down and learn, let's go. Silver, no, no, no, stop. Nope. Let's go. No. Today they did Chazarah for the test, tomorrow's the test. Tomorrow is a test? Tomorrow is a 讙讬专住讗 砖讜诇讞谉 注专讜讱 test, yes. Can we leave the sign, please? Yeah. What do you think about the situation? What? What's
