Midrash Introduction: Hamanโ€™s Decree and Mordechai Encounter

It's told in the ืžื“ืจืฉ, ื ืื›ื“ืขื ื•ื•ื™ ืขืก ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ื ื—ืชื ื’ืขื•ื•ืืจืŸ ื”ืžื 'ืก ืื’ืจื•ืช, so after the letters of Haman were silent, sealed, which letters? ืžื™ื˜ ื“ื™ ื’ื–ื™ืจื” ืื•ื™ืฃ ืื™ื“ืŸ, and with the decree against the ืื™ื“ืŸ, ืื•ืŸ ื ื™ืชื ื• ื‘ื™ื“ ื”ืžืŸ, that they were already given to Haman, ื–ืขื ืขืŸ Haman ืžื™ื˜ืŸ ื›ืœ ื‘ื ื™ ื—ื‘ื•ืจืชื• ื’ืขื’ืื ื’ืขืŸ ืฆื•ืคืจื™ื“ืขื ืขืจื”ื™ื™ื˜, so Haman and his whole gang, Haman and his whole gang were going happy, ืื•ืŸ ื‘ืื’ืขื’ื ื˜ Mordechai, as they were going they met Mordechai. Mordechai ื”ืึธื˜ ื“ืขืžืืœื˜ ื’ืขื–ืขืŸ ืฉืœื•ืฉื” ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ืฉื™ื•ืฆืื™ื ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ. Mordechai happened to see then three children coming out of school. ืื™ื– ืขืจ ื–ื™ื™ ื ืื›ื’ืขืœืืคืŸ, he ran after them, ืื•ืŸ Haman ืžื™ื˜ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื—ื‘ื•ืจื” ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืื™ื ื ืื›ื’ืขื’ืื ื’ืขืŸ, and Haman and his group followed ืžืจื“ื›ื™, ืฆื• ื”ืขืจืŸ ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื•ื•ืขื˜ ื–ื™ื™ ืคืจืขื’ืŸ, they wanted to hear what Mordechai is gonna talk to the kids, cuz they saw Mordechai trying to speak to the kids. ื›ื™ื•ื•ืŸ ืฉื”ื’ื™ืข ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ืืฆืœ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช, when ืžืจื“ื›ื™ got to the kids, ืฉืืœ ืœืื—ื“ ืžื”ื ืคืกื•ืง ืœื™ ืคืกื•ืงืš, so he said to one of them, tell me your pasuk, tell me your pasuk, your pasuk that you learned. ืืžืจ ืœื•, so he said, I'll tell you which pasuk I learned: ืืœ ืชื™ืจื ืžืคื—ื“ ืคืชืื•ื ื•ืžืฉื•ืืช ืจืฉืขื™ื ื›ื™ ืชื‘ื•ื. Do not be afraid of a sudden fear and from the the destruction, the bad of the ืจืฉืขื™ื. Don't be afraid of that, that what might that might come. Shouldn't be afraid. ืคืชื— ื”ืฉื ื™ ื•ืืžืจ, so the second one opened up and said, ืื ื™ ืงืจื™ืชื™, my I also learned today, ื•ื‘ื–ื” ื”ืคืกื•ืง ืขืžื“ืชื™ ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ, and this the pasuk I finished today in school: ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” ื•ืชื•ืคืจ, they planned plans and it's destroyed, ื“ื‘ืจื• ื“ื‘ืจ ื•ืœื ื™ืงื•ื, they speak all kinds of things that ain't gonna happen, ื›ื™ ืขืžื ื• ืงืœ, ื”ืฉื is with us. ืคืชื— ื”ืฉืœื™ืฉื™ ื•ืืžืจ, so the third one started and said: ื•ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื”, another pasuk, these are the three pesukim we say after Aleinu, it comes from this ืžื“ืจืฉ, ื•ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื” ืื ื™ ื”ื•ื, till I'm get old it's me, ื•ืขื“ ืฉื™ื‘ื” ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ, even when you get old ืฉื™ื‘ื” is I will I I I hold it, I carry it, ืื ื™ ืขืฉื™ืชื™ I made it, ื•ืื ื™ ืืฉื I will carry, ื•ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ I will you know, I'll suffer for it, I'll tolerate, now how do we say? Huh? Withstand? With withstand? ืฉื™ื‘ื” is like ืกื•ื‘ืœ, ืœืกื‘ื•ืœ... tolerate, that's the word, tolerate, that's the word.

Mordechaiโ€™s Joy at the Childrenโ€™s Answers

ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื’ืขื”ืขืจื˜ ื–ื™ื™ืขืจืข ืขื ื˜ืคืขืจืก ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, when Mordechai heard when they answered these ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, ืฉื—ืง, he smiled, ื•ื”ื™ื” ืฉืžื— ืฉืžื—ื” ื’ื“ื•ืœื”, and was very happy. ืืžืจ ืœื• ื”ืžืŸ, so ื”ืžืŸ said to him, ืžืื™ ื”ืื™ ืฉืžื—ื” ืฉืฉืžื—ืช ืžื™ืœื“ื™ ื”ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื”ืœืœื•? What what did you hear from the children made you so happy? ืืžืจ, he said, ืขืœ ื‘ืฉื•ืจื•ืช ื˜ื•ื‘ื•ืช ืฉื‘ืฉืจื•ื ื™, for the good news they gave me, ืฉืœื ืื™ืจื ืžืŸ ื”ืขืฆื” ื”ืจืขื” ืฉื™ืขืฆืช ืขืœื™ื ื•, they gave me good news that we shouldn't be afraid of your ืขืฆื” that you got here. ื›ืขืก ื”ืžืŸ ื”ืจืฉืข, right away ื”ืžืŸ was angry, ื•ืืžืจ, he said: ืื™ื ื ื™ ืฉื•ืœื— ื™ื“ ืœื”ืชื—ื™ืœ ืืœื ื‘ืืœื• ื”ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช, and angry he said, the first ones I'm gonna destroy, the first one I get is these kids. This is the Midrash. ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ื˜ืขื ื‘ืคืฉื˜ื•ืช ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื”ืื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื’ืขืคืจื™ื™ื˜ ื”ืขืจื ื“ื™ืง ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืงื™ื ื“ืขืจ, normally the Peshuter peshat, why was he happy when he heard this pesukim from the children? This was a form he saw in it a kind of a ื ื‘ื•ืื”, ืื– ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื•ื•ืืก ืฆื• ืžื•ืจื ื”ืื‘ืŸ ืคืืจ ื’ื–ื™ืจื•ืช ื”ืžืŸ, that he has nothing to be afraid of ื’ื–ื™ืจืช ื”ืžืŸ. ืื•ืŸ ืžื™ืจ ื’ืขืคื™ื ืขืŸ ื‘ื›ืžื” ืžืงื•ืžื•ืช ื‘ืฉืดืก, we find many places in ื’ืžืจื, ื“ื™ ืขื ื™ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืคืกื•ืง ืœื™ ืคืกื•ืงืš, a lot of places where they ask a child say a pasuk, and if in the Gemara it comes out ืื– ื ืคืกื•ืง ื•ื•ืืก ื ื™ื ื•ืงื ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜, a pasuk that child said is a kind of ื ื‘ื•ืื” ื•ื›ื™ื•ืฆื ื‘ื–ื”, something like a nevuah, it's a prophecy telling you what's gonna happen. So

Understanding the Prophetic Aspect

when he heard this, that's how we learn Peshuter peshat, that this is like the other situations in Shas where they said to a child, tell me your pasuk and whatever the child said that was a nevuah. Especially it says in the Gemara that nevuah was taken away but it was left, given to children. So when the children say this, it's a nevuah. That's what seems here, so he got it as a nevuah. ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ืื‘ืขืจ ืœื›ืื•ืจื” ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืคืืกื™ืง ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื˜ืขื, but here you can't really say it that way. ื•ื•ืืจื•ื ืขืœ ืคื™ ื–ื”, if that's the ืคืฉื˜, ืื•ื™ื‘ ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ืชื•ื›ืŸ ื”ืขื™ืงืจื™ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ืกื™ืคื•ืจ, if this is the main part of the story, ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจื‘ื™ื™ ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจื‘ื™ื™ ื ื•ื’ืข ืฆื• ื“ืขืจืฆื™ื™ืœืŸ ื“ื™ ืคืจื˜ื™ื? Why is it important to know the details ืื– ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื˜ืจืืคืŸ ืงื•ืžืขื ื“ื™ืง ืคื•ืŸ ื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ? He met them coming from school, what does it... The main thing they want to tell us that he heard from the kids the pesukim which is a nevuah. Why does it have to mention they were coming from school? ืื•ืŸ ืื– ืก'ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ืจื™ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื•ื•ืืก ื”ืื‘ืŸ ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜ ื“ืจื™ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, there were three who said three pesukim? Should have said stam that they were he met children and they told him pesukim. ืืฃ ืขืœ ืคื™ ืื– ืื ื“ืขืจืข ืคืจื˜ื™ ื”ืกื™ืคื•ืจ, even though other details of the story, ื“ืืก ื•ื•ืืก ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ืื ื’ืขื˜ืจืืคืŸ ื“ื™ ื“ื™ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช, the fact that he met the children, ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื’ืขื’ืื ื’ืขืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื–ื•ื›ืŸ, he didn't look for them, but he met them, ืื•ืŸ ืื•ื™ืš ื“ืืก ืื– ืžืขืจ ื•ื•ื™ ืื™ื™ืŸ ืชื™ื ื•ืง ื”ืื‘ืŸ ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, ืขื™ืงืจ ื”ืชื•ื›ืŸ ืฉืœ ื‘ืฉื•ืจื” ื˜ื•ื‘ื” ื•ื›ื•ืœื™, and even the fact that it was more than one, all this we understand why the Midrash says it. Because a n- mehr madgish ื“ื™ ื”ื•ืจืื” ืื•ืŸ ื ื‘ื•ืื”, cuz this stresses more, if you happen to meet them, it shows more hashgacha pratis. If you look for them, it's not so much. Also if there's more than one. ืื™ื– ืื‘ืขืจ, ืขืก ืื™ื– ื ื™ื˜ื ืงื™ื™ืŸ ืคืจื˜ ื ื•, ื™ื‘ื•ืื• ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ, this idea that it stresses more that this is a nevuah doesn't have anything to do with where were they coming from. Mai nafka mina if they come from school? ืื•ืŸ ืื– ืž'ืคืจืขื’ื˜ ื“ืืจืฃ ืžืขืŸ ืคืืจืฉื˜ื™ื™ืŸ. ื“ืขืจ ืกื“ืจ ื•ื•ื™ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื”ืื‘ืŸ ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜ ื“ื™ ื“ืจื™ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, the order of the way they said it, first ืืœ ืชื™ืจื, then ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื”, then ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื”, is not ื›ืคื™ ืกื“ืจื ื•ื•ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ืฉื˜ื™ื™ืขืŸ ืื™ืŸ ื ืดืš. This is not the way the seder they're written in in in Neviim. ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” ืื•ืŸ ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื” ืฉื˜ื™ื™ืขืŸ ืื™ืŸ ืกืคืจ ื™ืฉืขื™ืณ. That's in ื™ืฉืขื™ืณ, ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื‘ืกื“ืจ ื”ืกืคืจื™ื ืคืืจ ืžืฉืœื™, that comes before ืžืฉืœื™, ื•ื•ืื• ืขืก ืฉื˜ื™ื™ื˜ ื“ืขืจ ืคืกื•ืง ืืœ ืชื™ืจื. ืืœ ืชื™ืจื is in Mishlei and the other is So ืืœ ืชื™ืจื was the first one, and that's written in the Torah later. ื“ืขืจ ืคืฉื˜ ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ืกื“ืจ ื”ืœื™ืžื•ื“ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ืื™ืŸ ืกืคืจ ื›ืคื™ ืกื“ืจ ื”ืกืคืจื™ื. Usually you learn, you learn the order of the sefarim: Torah, Neviim, Ketuvim. And here what happened? The first one said from Mishlei. Huh? But it's also not... ืื•ืŸ ืก'ืื™ื– ืื•ื™ืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื›ืกื“ืจื ืžืŸ ื”ืžืื•ื—ืจ ืืœ ื”ืžื•ืงื“ื, not backwards either. Just one second. ื•ื•ืื• ื“ืขืžืืœื˜ืก ื•ื•ืืœื˜ืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื’ืขื“ืืจืคื˜ ื–ืื’ืŸ ื“ืขื ืฉืคืขื˜ืขืจื“ื™ืงืŸ ืคืกื•ืง ืื™ืŸ ื™ืฉืขื™ืณ, ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื”, ืคืืจ ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื”, cuz in Yeshayahu it's not the proper order. So they should have started with ืืœ ืชื™ืจื, and then ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื”, then ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื”. The fact is ืืœ ืชื™ืจื, and ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื”, and then ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื”. What about there's three pesukim, what is the seder of the second pasuk that that is in Mishlei? You have three pesukim, they're both two of them are one Yeshayahu. Both are in Yeshayahu. But the way, see here it's not this proper order. I know that, understand that. But you said not in proper order, but I feel that there's three pesukim. The first two, the first one or the first two is Yeshayahu? The second and the third. Are they are in order the second and the third? But I mean, of course they're They are they are in order, yeah. They are in order the second But if you go backwards they're not in order. They are in order. The first one is from where? The first is from Mishlei. And Mishlei is later. So why did he start with Mishlei? ืขื•ืœื ื•ื•ืืก you can say, like he says, he's starting the other way, the older one said first. But if you're going backwards, then in Yeshaya it should have been the different order, because it's written the ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” is first in Yeshaya and then ืื ื™ ืขืฉื”. But if it's backwards, the second one should have been first and then this, should have been the opposite. It's in the same ืงืืคื™ื˜ืœ ื—ืณ, and there's a ืžืจืื” ืžืงื•ื ื™ืณ, this pasuk it's in one What, which one? In ืžืจืื” ืžืงื•ื six. In ืžืจืื” ืžืงื•ื the In the beginning, yeah. On the first it says there's six Yeshaya. One is Yeshaya ื—ืณ, and one is Yeshaya ืžืดื•. Ah! Oh, I see. I see. Okay. So it's a second shaila. So we have two shailot. One is, why is noge'a the details that they were coming from school, and it was davka three pesukim? And then what's the order of the pesukim? Another question. Why did Mordechai ask them what they learned today? Yeah. How come they were learning three different things today in one day in one school? Probably different classes. Huh? Different classes. Yeah, they were probably different classes. Another question. ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื“ืขื ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ ืชื™ื ื•ืง ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื“ืขืจืฆื™ื™ืœื˜ ืื™ืŸ ืžื“ืจืฉ, we're going to go into the details of the words. The first child, it says in ืžื“ืจืฉ, ืื– ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืœื™ื™ืš, ืืŸ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื”ืงื“ืžื”, ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜ ื“ืขื ืคืกื•ืง. It says when he said to the first child, \"Tell me a pasuk,\" he said a pasuk. He said the ืคืกื•ืง ืืœ ืชื™ืจื. ืฉื˜ื™ื™ื˜ ื‘ื™ื™ื ืฆื•ื•ื™ื™ื˜ืŸ ืชื™ื ื•ืง, so by the second one it says, ืคืชื— ื”ืฉื ื™ ื•ืืžืจ, the second one said, not the pasuk, first he said, ืื ื™ ืงืจื™ืชื™ ื”ื™ื•ื, I also learned today, ื•ื‘ื–ื” ื”ืคืกื•ืง ืขืžื“ืชื™, and this is the pasuk that I finished, ื‘ื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ, in school, and then he continued the pasuk. ืื– ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื™ืขื ืขื ื˜ืื’ ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜ ืื ื“ืขืจืข ืคืกื•ืงื™ื. So in the Midrash, he answered him, \"I learned more pesukim, and this is one of them I learned, ื‘ื™ื™ ื“ืขื ืคืกื•ืง ื’ืขื‘ืœื™ื‘ืŸ ืฉื˜ื™ื™ืŸ. I learned others, and I finished by this pasuk.\" ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืคืฉื•ื˜, I don't understand, ืฆื™ ื“ืขืŸ ื”ืื˜ ื“ืขืจ ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ืชื™ื ื•ืง ื™ืขื ืขื ื˜ืื’ ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜ ืื™ืŸ ื—ื“ืจ ื‘ืœื•ื™ื– ื“ืขื ืคืกื•ืง ืืœ ืชื™ืจื, ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืžืขืจ? And the first one didn't learn more? But so why by the first one it just says this pasuk, and the second one added, \"I learned a lot, and this is the one I finished\"? Why the first one didn't say it? Third thing. ื•ื•ื™ื‘ืืœื“ ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื”ืื˜ ื“ืืก ืื•ื™ืคื’ืขื ื•ืžืขืŸ ืืœืก ื ื ื‘ื•ืื”, third it's really, it means a fourth. Since Mordechai took it as a ื ื‘ื•ืื”, ืคืืจ ื•ื•ืืก ื–ืื’ื˜ ืขืจ ื“ืขื ืœืฉื•ืŸ, ื ื‘ืฉื•ืจื” ื˜ื•ื‘ื” ื‘ืฉืจื•ื ื™, ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืฉื ื™ื‘ืื• ืœื™ ื˜ื•ื‘ื”? Why ื‘ืฉื•ืจื”? It's a good ื‘ืฉื•ืจื”. He should have said, \"I got a ื ื‘ื•ืื”.\" Why does he say the word, \"I got a ื‘ืฉื•ืจื” ื˜ื•ื‘ื”\"? ืื™ืš ื”ืื‘ ื“ื ืกื™ืžื ื™ื, so we have four questions, now a fifth question. So Midrash it comes out, when did this happen? So it says, after the the ื’ื–ื™ืจื” the letter was written, then he came out and he met him. So it was right away after the ื’ื–ื™ืจื” was written. ืื•ืŸ ืฉื•ื™ืŸ ื“ืขืžืืœื˜ ืื™ื– ื‘ื™ื™ Mordechai ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื ืฉืžื—ื” ื’ื“ื•ืœื” ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ื‘ืฉื•ืจื” ื˜ื•ื‘ื”. Right then, he spoke to the children and he already got the ื‘ืฉื•ืจื”, good news, ืื– ืž'ืื™ื– ื‘ื˜ื•ื— ืคื˜ื•ืจ ืคื•ืŸ ื”ืžื 'ืก ืขืฆื” ื”ืจืขื”. You got the news that there's nothing to be afraid of. ืื•ื™ื‘ ืื–ื•ื™, if so, ืคืืจ ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื ืื›ื“ืขื ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื’ืื ืฆืขืจ ืฉื˜ื•ืจืขื? So why did they later on make a whole tumult, ื•ื™ืœื‘ืฉ ืฉืง ื•ืืคืจ, he put on sack and ashes, ื•ื™ื–ืขืง ื–ืขืงื” ื’ื“ื•ืœื” ื•ืžืจื”, Mordechai came screaming, ืื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืื™ื‘ืขืจื™ื’ืข ืคืจื˜ื™ื ื•ื•ืืก Mordechai ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื˜ืืŸ, and almost all the things Mordechai did, ืื•ืŸ ืื ื’ืขื–ืื’ื˜ Esther ืฆื• ื˜ื•ืŸ, he told Esther what to do, like it says in the Megillah, so why did he do that? He already knew, he knew a prophecy, that everything going to be good, so forget about it, why did he make this whole ื˜ื•ืžืœ? It wasn't, if it would be a clear ื ื‘ื•ืื”, he got a ื ื‘ื•ืื” from the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ you can know that this is not not to be afraid of, that's it. A ืกื™ืžืŸ of a ื ื‘ื•ืื”. But on the other hand, it's ืฉื•ื•ืขืจ ืฆื• ืคืืจืฉื˜ื™ื™ืŸ, ืœืื™ื“ืš ื’ื™ืกื, so then, ืคืืจ ื•ื•ืืก ืคืืจ ื

Why Mordecai Was So Happy

ืฉืžื—ื” ื’ื“ื•ืœื”? So why was he happy? If if it's a ื ื‘ื•ืื” then don't do anything, if it's not a ื ื‘ื•ืื” then it means nothing, so why was he happy? So we have to understand all this inyan of the story. ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื‘ื™ืื•ืจ, ืื– ื“ืขืจ Rebbe, ื ืงื•ื“ื” ื“ืขืจ ืคืฉื˜ is like this. ืคืจื™ืขืจ ื‘ื”ืงื“ื, first like this: ืื– ื“ื™ ื’ื–ื™ืจื” ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืœื”ืฉืžื™ื“, ืœื”ืจื•ื’, ื•ืœืื‘ื“ ืืช ื›ืœ ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื ืžื ืขืจ ื•ืขื“ ื–ืงืŸ ื˜ืฃ ื•ื ืฉื™ื. That's number one. The ื’ื–ื™ืจื” was to kill everybody. What was the reason, why did he want to kill everybody? ืื•ืŸ ื‘ื ื•ื’ืข ื“ืขืจ ืกื™ื‘ื” ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ื’ื–ื™ืจื” and the reason why this ื’ื–ื™ืจื” came, so you have it, number one, ื•ื•ื™ ืขืก ื“ืขืจืฆื™ื™ืœื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืื™ืŸ ื“ื™ Megillah, ืื•ืŸ ืขืœ ืคื™ Midrash Chazal. So you have what the story, the way ืคืฉื•ื˜ in the Megillah, and then you have what the Chazal explain pshat what the reason for the ื’ื–ื™ืจื” came. Okay, so first you can say what does it say in the Megillah? ืื™ืŸ ื“ื™ Megillah ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ื“ืขืจืฆื™ื™ืœื˜ ืื– ื“ืืก ื”ืื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืื ื’ืขื”ื•ื™ื‘ืŸ, this all started, ืคื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ื•ื•ืืก ื›ืœ ืขื‘ื“ื™ ื”ืžืœืš ื›ื•ืจืขื™ื ื•ืžืฉืชื—ื•ื™ื ืœื”ืžืŸ, all the ืขื‘ื“ื™ื, all the servants of the king bowed down to ื”ืžืŸ, ื•ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ืœื ื™ื›ืจืข ื•ืœื ื™ืฉืชื—ื•ื”, and ืžืจื“ื›ื™ did not bow down. ื•ื™ืžืœื ื”ืžืŸ ื—ืžื”, ื”ืžืŸ got angry, ื•ื™ื‘ื– ื‘ืขื™ื ื™ื• ืœืฉืœื•ื— ื™ื“ ื‘ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ืœื‘ื“ื•, he thought it was embarrassing to just start off just kill ืžืจื“ื›ื™, ื›ื™ ื”ื’ื™ื“ื• ืœื• ืืช ืขื ืžืจื“ื›ื™, because they told him which nation Mordechai belongs to, ื•ื™ื‘ืงืฉ ื”ืžืŸ ืœื”ืฉืžื™ื“ ืืช ื›ืœ ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื ืขื ืžืจื“ื›ื™. So he wanted to kill all the Yidden who were the nation of Mordechai. Now the Rebbe doesn't ask a shaila, but ื‘ืคืจื˜, pshat in the pasuk, makes no sense. If Mordechai didn't bow down, get rid of Mordechai, why all the Yidden? But he found out which nation Mordechai belongs to, so? If Mordechai is a is a troublemaker, he's a bad guy, in his eyes, so who cares if he belongs to a nation, so he belongs to other Yidden, other people are from the same nation, so, but they they didn't do anything wrong. But the pshat is, ื“ืืก ื”ื™ื™ืกื˜, ืื– ื‘ืฉืขืช ื”ืžืŸ ื”ืื˜ ื—ื•ืงืจ ื•ื“ื•ืจืฉ ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืคืืจ ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื‘ื•ืงื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืคืืจ ืื™ื, when Haman looked into, investigated, did research, why doesn't Mordechai bow down to him, ืื•ืŸ ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ืื•ื™ืกื’ืขืคื•ื ืขืŸ, he found out, ืื– ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืฆื•ืœื™ื‘ ืžืจื“ื›ื™'ืก ืื™ื™ื’ื ืฉืืคื˜ ืืœืก ื ืคืจื˜, not because something personal to Mordechai, ื–ื™ื™ืขื ื“ื™ื’ ืื™ืŸ ื“ื™ ืกื ื”ื“ืจื™ืŸ, because he has a special position, he's in the ืกื ื”ื“ืจื™ืŸ, ื“ืขืจ ืžื ื”ื™ื’ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ, a leader, they told him that's not the reason. So it's not something that Mordechai himself was doing, ื ืืจ ื”ื’ื™ื“ื• ืœื• ืืช ืขื ืžืจื“ื›ื™, they told him the nation of ืžืจื“ื›ื™, ืืฉืจ ื”ื•ื ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™, that he's a Yid, meaning, ืื– ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ืคืืจ ื•ื•ืืก ื–ื™ื™ืขื ื“ื™ื’ ื ื™ื™ื“ ื’ืœื™ื™ื‘ื˜ ืขืจ ื ืืจ ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ, because he's a Yid and believes only in the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, ืื•ืŸ ืื™ื– ื›ื•ืคืจ ื‘ื›ืœ ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, and denies all ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, ื™ืขื“ืขืจ ื–ืืš ื•ื•ืืก ื”ืืœื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืคืืจ ื ืžืฆื™ืื•ืช, not ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื” ืžืžืฉ even, but even anything that a ืžืฆื™ืื•ืช for itself, ื“ืืก ื”ืื˜ ื‘ื™ื™ Haman ืืจื•ื™ืกื’ืขืจื•ืคืŸ ื’ืจื•ื™ืก ื›ืขืก, ื•ื™ืžืœื ื—ืžื”, he got very angry. In other words, he got angry at Mordechai's doing it not because of himself. Mordechai is doing it as a representative of all the Yidden. Basically, when Mordechai didn't bow down to Haman, in his eyes, all the Yidden are not bowing down to him. ืื•ืŸ ื•ื•ื™ื‘ืืœื“ ืื– ื“ืืก ื•ื•ืืก Mordechai ืœื ื™ื›ืจืข ื•ืœื ื™ืฉืชื—ื•ื” ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ืคืืจ ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ืขืจ ืื™ื– ื ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™, and because the reason he's not bowing is because he's a Yid, is ื•ื™ื‘ื– ื‘ืขื™ื ื™ื• ืœืฉืœื•ื— ื™ื“ ื‘ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ืœื‘ื“ื•. So he had no reason to just get rid of Mordechai. ื•ื•ื™ื‘ืืœื“ ื“ื™ ืกื™ื‘ื” ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื‘ื•ืงื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืื™ื– ื“ื™ ื ืงื•ื“ื” ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ืคืืจืืŸ ื‘ื™ื™ ืืœืข ื™ื™ื“ืŸ, since this whole reason is because everyone has the same, in pintele yid, the same thing, ืžื ืขืจ ื•ืขื“ ื–ืงืŸ ื˜ืฃ ื•ื ืฉื™ื, ืžื™ื™ื ื˜ ืขืก ื“ืืš ืื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืืจ Mordechai, so it means not only ืžืจื“ื›ื™, ื ืืจ ื“ืขืจ ื’ืื ืฆืขืจ ืขื ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ืื ืขืจืงืขื ื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืžืฆื™ืื•ืช, that the whole nation doesn't recognize him, ืื•ืŸ ืืคืฉื™ื˜ื ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืฆื• ื‘ื•ืงืŸ ื–ื™ืš ืคืืจ ืื™ื, and nobody is bowing down to him, ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ื’ืขื–ื•ื›ื˜ ื ื•ื•ืขื’ ืœื”ืฉืžื™ื“ ืืช ื›ืœ ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื. So since Mordechai's problem is the problem of every single Yid, kids, women, men, women, kids. So that, and this the Rebbe says, is pashut pshat in the pasuk, cuz the Rebbe said before that the reason for the gezeirah we find the way it says simple in pshat in Megillah, and then Chazal. In the meantime, he didn't bring the Chazal. This is pashut pshat in the Megillah. In other words, this is not even a pshat in the Megillah, this is basically what the Megillah is saying, that he found out that the reason Mordechai is not bowing down is because every Yid doesn't, every Yid has this in him. ื•ื•ื™ ืงื•ืžื˜ ืขืก ืื‘ืขืจ ืื– ื”ืžืŸ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขืงืขื ื˜ ื‘ืจืขื ื’ืขืŸ ืื–ื ื’ื–ื™ืจื” ืคื™ืจืŸ? But how is it possible that Haman should be able to do this? Here you have already the Chazal. ื–ืื’ื˜ Chazal, so in the Megillah it says what happened, what what Haman thought, how it saw. The reason behind, how was it possible for him, that the Chazal say. ืžื‘ืจืจ, Chazal ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืžื‘ืจืจ ื“ื™ ืกื™ื‘ื” ืจื•ื—ื ื™ื•ืช. What is the ืจื•ื—ื ื™ื•ืช'ื“ื™ื’ืข reason for the gezeirah? ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืžืคื ื™ ืฉื”ืฉืชื—ื•ื• ืœืฆืœื. Because, Gemara says, years earlier, all the Yidden bowed down to an avodah zarah ืคื•ืŸ Nevuchadnetzar. ื•ื•ื™ื‘ืืœื“ ืื– ื‘ื™ื™ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืื–ื ืคืขื•ืœื” ืื•ืŸ ืชื ื•ืขื”, since by Yidden there was such an act like this, ืืคื™ืœื• ื•ื•ืขืŸ ื‘ืœื•ื™ื– ืœืคื ื™ื ื‘ืœื ืœื‘ ื•ืœื‘, even though the Gemara says it didn't mean it. They were forced to it, and they didn't really mean this act, but still they did it, ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื”ื™ืคืš ืคื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช, which is the opposite of the nekudah of ืื™ื“ื™ืฉืงื™ื™ื˜, ืื•ืŸ ืจื™ืจื˜ ืืŸ ื“ืขื ืขืฆื ืคืืจื‘ื•ื ื“ืŸ ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ืžื™ื˜'ืŸ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ, and it affects the ืขืฆื connection with the Oibershter. ื”ืื˜ ื“ืืก ืžืžื™ืœื ื’ืขื‘ืจืื›ื˜ ื“ื™ ื’ื–ื™ืจื” ืฉืœื ื™ืจื—ืžื ื•, ื”ืฉื ื™ืฆื™ืœื ื•. So, the fact that the Yidden bowed down to the avodah zarah, this brought the possibility of destruction. ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ื“ื™ ื’ืื ืฆืข ืžืฆื™ืื•ืช ืื•ืŸ ืงื™ื•ื ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ ืื™ื– ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ืคืืจื‘ื•ื ื“ืŸ ืžื™ื˜'ืŸ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ. The whole the whole existence of Yidden is connected to the Oibershter, if they cut themselves off. So, this is what, you know, which Mordechai saw he's not bowing down because be'etzem every Yid shouldn't bow down. So, Haman saw it, takeh, as every Yid. Mordechai, in his eyes, was said, \"I'm not so sure. I'm not so sure every Yid has it. V'ha raya, he made a gezeirah, and the gezeirah works. And the gezeirah works because of what they did, that they care about others other than the Oibershter. And that's the problem.\" And the Rebbe in the ื”ืขืจื•ืช says that even according to the second reason the Gemara gives of what made the ื’ื–ื™ืจื”, ื ื”ื ื• ืžืกืขื•ื“ืชื• ืฉืœ ืื•ืชื• ืจืฉืข, they had hana'ah from the se'udah of Achashverosh, so the Rebbe says he explains in a different sichah that it's not the fact that they ate from the non-kosher food, it's the fact that they enjoyed being asked invited by Achashverosh, thinking that Achashverosh is going to be their savior. So, the same idea, they disconnect disconnecting from the Oibershter. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืžืจื“ื›ื™'ืก ื“ืื’ื”, that's what he was worried about, ื‘ื™ื– ืื– ื•ื™ืœื‘ืฉ ืฉืง ื•ืืคืจ, he went in zekel did, whatever, he put on, he cried, he he was me'orer Yidden to teshuvah. But ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื™ื“ืข ืืช ื›ืœ ืืฉืจ ื ืขืฉื”. It says Mordechai knew everything that was happening, which means not only he knew what was happening by ื”ืžืŸ, ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื•ื•ืื•ืกื˜ ื“ื™ ืกื™ื‘ื” ื•ื•ืืก ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื‘ืจืื›ื˜ ื“ื™ ื’ื–ื™ืจื”, he knew the reason in shamayim what brought the gezeirah. ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ืื’ืชื•, so his worry was, klomar, I know they bowed down to the tzelem before, and that brought a maybe takeh to the avodah zarah. ืื•ืŸ ืืคื™ืœื• ืื– ื“ื™ ื”ืฉืชื—ื•ื•ื™ื” ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืœืคื ื™ื, and even if they did it just superficially, ื ืืจ ื‘ื—ืฆื•ื ื™ื•ืช, on the outside, ื•ื•ื™ื™ื–ื˜ ื“ืืก ืื‘ืขืจ ืื– ื“ื™ ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช ื•ื•ืืœื˜ ื‘ื™ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. So, takeh, only chitzoniyus that they bowed down, but ื‘ื—ืฆื•ื ื™ื•ืช they're not connected to the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ. ื“ืขืŸ ื“ืืก ื•ื•ืืก ื•ื•ืืก ื–ื™ื™ ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, when if the ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช would be by them ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืืก ื’ืขืคื•ืขืœ'ื˜ ืฉืœื ื™ื•ื›ืœื• ื™ื’ืขื• ืืคื™ืœื• ื‘ืœื‘ื•ืฉื, that would cause that they shouldn't be able to touch avodah zarah even with their ืœื‘ื•ืฉื™ื, ื‘ืžื—ืฉื‘ื”, ื“ื™ื‘ื•ืจ ื•ืžืขืฉื”, ืฉืœ ืืžื•ื ืช ื”ืฉื ืื—ื“, but even just in in act. The Alter Rebbe says that ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช of a Yid, a Yid cannot not only cannot believe in avodah zarah, cannot even do something superficially, not meaning it, ืื‘ืœ ื›ื’ื•ืŸ ืœื”ืฉืชื—ื•ื•ืช ืœืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, for instance to bow down to, ืืฃ ืฉืื™ื ื• ืžืืžื™ืŸ ื‘ื” ื›ืœืœ, doesn't believe he doesn't believe in it. ื•ื•ืืจื•ื ืžืฆื“ ื“ืขื ื—ืคืฅ ื•ืจืฆื•ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ื ื™ื™ื“ ืฆื• ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื“ื‘ื•ืง ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ, because a Yid is that has the nature of wanting to be close to the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, ื”ื™ื ื™ืจืื” ื•ืžืคื—ื“ืช ื‘ื˜ื‘ืข, so it's naturally afraid ืžื ื’ื™ืขื” ื‘ืงืฆื” ื˜ื•ืžืืช ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, chas v'shalom, to touch even the edge of ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, ืฉื”ื•ื ื ื’ื“ ื‘ื ื’ื“ ืืžื•ื ืช ื”ืฉื ืื—ื“, against the emunah of ื”ืฉื ืื—ื“, ืืคื™ืœื• ื‘ืœื‘ื•ืฉื™ื” ื”ื—ื™ืฆื•ื ื™ื, even in the outer ืœื‘ื•ืฉื™ื, which is ื“ื™ื‘ื•ืจ ื•ืžืขืฉื”, ื‘ืœื™ ืืžื•ื ื” ื‘ืœื‘ ื›ืœืœ, even without believing. What about the Marranos? Ah? The Marranos that's The Marranos, there were more people who did. It doesn't mean it's impossible, it means that by not by Yidden, like, yeah. Like, this is the way by Yidden it is. Some people do against nature. And then the Rebbe asks, says that ืขื ื”ืืจืฅ doesn't lie on Shabbos. He says, \"I've seen ืขื ื”ืืจืฆื™ื lying on Shabbos. I've seen ืชืœืžื™ื“ื™ ื—ื›ืžื™ื.\" The answer is, he's doing against his nature. Naturally, he shouldn't. Some people, you know, they become verkackt against nature, but naturally they shouldn't. That's exactly what Mordechai saw here.

Mordechaiโ€™s Insight from the Childrenโ€™s Learning

Mordechai saw that these guys are not are are by them it's not ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™. No, he didn't, you'll see in a second. Cuz it was that's the whole point, that there was a whole It wasn't a ื ื‘ื•ืื”. The Rebbe came to the conclusion it wasn't a ื ื‘ื•ืื”, so he didn't know the outcome. So, he's trying to say, \"What did he know?\" That's what okay, we're going to see. So, what happened was he knew the reason for the ื’ื–ื™ืจื”, and ืžืžื™ืœื he saw there's a problem. Which means that Haman looked at it opposite. Haman looked at Mordechai is not bowing down because that's every Yid. ืžืžื™ืœื, we will kill every Yid. Mordechai saw, \"I'm not so sure. Look what they did, ื•ื”ื ืจืื™ื”, he was able to make the gezeirah.\" So, it showed that begiluy it's not by them. ื“ืขืจืคืืจ ื”ืื˜ ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื’ืขื•ื•ืื•ืกื˜ ืื– ื“ืขืจ ื•ื•ืขื’ ืฆื• ื‘ื™ื˜ืœ ื ื’ื–ื™ืจื”, so what should I do to be ืžื‘ื˜ืœ, ืื™ื– ื“ื•ืจืš ืžืขื•ืจืจ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื‘ื™ื™ ื™ื™ื“ืŸ ื“ื™ ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช, to awaken in them all the ื ืงื•ื“ืช ื”ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช, ืื– ืขืก ื–ืืœ ืืจื•ื™ืกืงื•ืžืขืŸ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, it should come out ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, ืื– ื“ื™ ืชื›ื•ื ื” ืคื•ืŸ ื ืžืจื“ื›ื™, ืื– ืœื ื™ื›ืจืข ื•ืœื ื™ืฉืชื—ื•ื”, that this nature that every Yid has not to bow down to ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, ื–ืืœ ื“ื•ืจื›ื ืขืžืขืŸ ืืœืข ืœื‘ื•ืฉื™ ื”ื ืคืฉ, should should penetrate into every part, ืžื—ืฉื‘ื”, ื“ื™ื‘ื•ืจ ื•ืžืขืฉื”, ื‘ื™ื– ืฆื• ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ ืขืœ ืงื™ื“ื•ืฉ ื”ืฉื ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ ืžืžืฉ. It was a mesirat nefesh not to bow down to Haman. So, he wanted it to bring it out by the Yidden, cuz Yidden he felt were missing that. ื‘ืฉืขืช ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืข ื”ืื˜ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช, ื–ื™ื™ ืงื•ืžืขืŸ ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ, when he heard from the children coming from school ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืจื™ืงืŸ ืื•ื™ืก ื“ื™ ืืžื•ื ื” ื•ื‘ื˜ื—ื•ืŸ ืื™ื ืขื ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ, so what happened? He was worried. But then when he walked, and he saw the kids coming from school and he heard from them saying pesukim, and all three pesukim show the emunah and bitachon in the He knew that the Yidden are going to stand, are going to pass the test, ืฉื•ื—ืง, war er besimchah, sameach, let's say let's say he smiled, he was happy, ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ืขืก ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ื ื•ื•ืืก ืฆื• ืžื•ืจื ื”ืื‘ืŸ ืคืืจ ื“ืขืจ ืขืฆื” ื”ืจืขื” ืฉื™ืขืฆื• ืขืœื™ื ื•. ื”ื•ื ืงื•ื“ื ื›ืœ, he has nothing to be afraid. Which means, in other words, he was afraid that it's a lost case. The Yidden don't have it, what am I going to do? When he heard the kids say it, oh it's not a lost case. I see that they're educating the children in a way of emunah ubitachon. Oh, I know I can work on it. So you have to work, a vadai, if you leave it, it's not good. So it's only a besorah tovah. No no, nevuah means they told you a fact what is going to happen. So they just told him he saw a besorah, not like, like what they said is like a hashgachah pratit they told me the pasuk. No, he means ืคืฉื•ื˜ ื‘ื’ืฉืžื™ื•ืช ื›ืคืฉื•ื˜ื•. He heard from them that we believe in the Eibershter, and we have bitachon in the Eibershter, and that's what they taught us in school. He

But when did he decide that I'm able to do it and I have a chance? When he heard the children. So the Rebbe points out that it's not like they learn in pshat that it's a ื ื‘ื•ืื”, it's not a ื ื‘ื•ืื”, it's just telling showing him the ืžืฆื‘ of the ืื™ื“ืŸ, that the children are being educated properly. Now, you're going to say, what were what did he hear from the ืคืกื•ืงื™ื? So you're going to say here here three ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, and in the order of the three are three levels of emunah u'bitachon. And he heard that the ืื™ื“ืŸ are being educated, the children are being educated in all three levels. And that's why it's going to explain in this order, because the levels follow this order, even though it's not the order of the way it's written. ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ืชื•ื›ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ื“ืจื™ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, what the difference in what the three ืคืกื•ืงื™ื say: ื“ืขืจ ืคืกื•ืง ืืœ ืชื™ืจื ืžืคื—ื“ ืคืชืื•ื ื•ืžืฉื•ืืช ืจืฉืขื™ื ื›ื™ ืชื‘ื•ื, this ืคืกื•ืง says don't be afraid of any fear, and the the ืจืฉืขื™ื's thing that might that'll come. ืจืขื“ื˜ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื ืคื—ื“ ืื•ืŸ ืก'ืื™ื– ื“ื ื ื’ื–ื™ืจื”, ืื•ืŸ ืžืขืŸ ื–ืื’ื˜ ืฆื• ืื™ื ืืœ ืชื™ืจื. We're saying like this: it will come. We're saying there will be a ืฆืจื” coming. What does the ืคืกื•ืง say? Don't be afraid of the ืฆืจื”. And it doesn't say why. ืืŸ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื”ืกื‘ืจื”, there's no explanation here. ืื™ืŸ ื ืคืกื•ืง ืคื•ืŸ ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” ื•ืชื•ืคืจ ื“ื‘ืจื• ื“ื‘ืจ ื•ืœื ื™ืงื•ื, the second ืคืกื•ืง which says hey think of ืขืฆื•ืช, and it's not going to be. ืจืขื“ื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ'ื“ื™ืงืข ืฆืจื”, it doesn't say the ืฆืจื” that will come. What's the reason? ื›ื™ ืขืžื ื• ื-ืœ, the Eibershter is with us. ืื•ืŸ ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื“ืจื™ื˜ืŸ ืคืกื•ืง which is ื•ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื” ืื ื™ ื”ื•ื ื•ืขื“ ืฉื™ื‘ื” ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ, ืื ื™ ืขืฉื™ืชื™ ื•ืื ื™ ืืฉื ื•ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ ื•ืืžืœื˜, ืจืขื“ื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื‘ื›ืœืœ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื ืฆืจื”, it's not even a ืฆืจื”. ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ื”ื›ื ื”, not that there's going to be a ืฆืจื”, not that they're going to try to make a ืฆืจื”. ื ืืจ ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ ื–ืงื ื” ื•ืฉื™ื‘ื”, ื•ื•ืขื’ืŸ old age. ื“ื”ื™ื™ื ื• ืฉื™ื ื•ื™ื™ื ื˜ื‘ืขื™ื™ื ืื™ืŸ ื“ื™ ื‘ืจื™ืื” ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืขืจ ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื‘ืืฉืืคืŸ, the natural things that happen. And if natural things which make it hard, when you get old, things are hard. That's, that's ื”ืฉื’ื—ื” ืคืจื˜ื™ืช, that's what we learned today in the Gemara in the in Ein Yaakov, the whole thing about being old and being hard. ืื•ืŸ ืžืขืŸ ื–ืื’ื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืืจ ืื– ืื ื™ ื”ื•ื, ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ, the Eibershter is going to take care of it, ื ืืจ ืื™ืš, ืื ื™ ืขืฉื™ืชื™ ื•ืื ื™ ืืฉื, I'll carry it, the Eibershter is going to do it. The Three Verses: Levels of Faith Explained

the bitachon you have mesirat nefesh, and there is three levels. And these are the three levels: ืืœ ืชื™ืจื ืžืคื—ื“ ืคืชืื•ื ื•ืžืฉื•ืืช ืจืฉืขื™ื ื›ื™ ืชื‘ื•ื, means ืžืฆื“ ืืžื•ื ื” ื•ื‘ื˜ื—ื•ืŸ ืื™ื ืขื ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ, because a Yid believes in the ืื™ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, ืื™ื– ื›ืื˜ืฉ ืื– ืขืœ ืคื™ ื˜ื‘ืข ื‘ืืคืืœื˜ ื ืžืขื ื˜ืฉ ื ืžื•ืจื ื‘ื™ื™ ื ืคืœื•ืฆื™ืžื“ื™ืงืขืจ ืื ืงื•ื ืคื•ืŸ ืคื—ื“ ื•ืžืฉื•ืืช ืจืฉืขื™ื, naturally if there's a tzarah coming and especially a ืคื—ื“ a plutzling a a sudden ืคื—ื“ naturally you get scared. That's how it is. ืื™ื– ืื‘ืขืจ ื‘ื™ื™ ื ืžืืžื™ืŸ, a Yid who believes, a ืื™ื“ืŸ, ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ืžื•ืจื, he's not afraid. ืื•ืŸ ืขืจ ื“ืืจืฃ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื”ืื‘ืŸ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ื”ืกื‘ืจื” ื•ื˜ืขื. This pasuk says, don't be afraid, and doesn't say why. ื“ืขืจ ื˜ื‘ืข ืื™ื– ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื’ืขืคื™ืœ ืขืœ ื“ืจืš ืžืืžืจ ืจื–\\"ืœ ื›ืœ ืžื” ื“ืขื‘ื™ื“ ืจื—ืžื ื ืœื˜ื‘ ืขื‘ื™ื“. That's the lowest level that a Yid feels that whatever Hashem does is for the good. A tzarah comes, I'm not afraid. Eibershter will take, but there's not even a reason. It's a natural feeling. a Yid has. ื ืฉื˜ืืจืงืขืจืข ืื•ืคืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืืžื•ื ื”, ืื– ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” ื•ืชื•ืคืจ, ื“ื‘ืจื• ื“ื‘ืจ ื•ืœื ื™ืงื•ื. That they're thinking and it's gonna be destroyed. They're talking and it won't happen. ื ื™ื˜ ื‘ืœื•ื™ื– ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ื ื™ื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ืžื•ืจื, not only like the first one you're not afraid, which is the tzarah will be there, so I'm not afraid. This is more. ื ืืจ ื‘ื™ื™ ืื™ื ืื™ื– ื‘ื•ื•ื“ืื™ ืื– ืชื•ืคืจ ื•ืœื ื™ืงื•ื. A Yid is sure that it's gonna be destroyed, it'll never happen. And the ื”ืกื‘ืจื” ืื•ืŸ ื˜ืขื ืฉื›ืœื™, ื‘ื™ื™ ืื™ื ืื™ื– ื‘ื•ื•ื“ืื™ ื›ื™ ืขืžื ื• ืงืœ. And there's a reason for it, because I know the Eibershter is there, which means that there's a reason. The first one, a Yid, does mean like a level of of natural feeling, which is even like a child doesn't understand. A Yid is not afraid. Second one is, that I have more, it'll never come because I know. ื ืžืขืœื” ืžื–ื”, the third level higher is it, ืื•ื™ืฃ ืืŸ ืื•ืคืŸ ืื– ืขื“ ื–ืงื ื” ืื ื™ ื”ื•ื ื•ืขื“ ืฉื™ื‘ื” ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ, which we said before is not a tzarah, but it's natural problems. ืื•ื™ืš ื“ื™ ื—ื•ืงื™ื ื•ืขื ื™ื ื™ ื”ื˜ื‘ืข, even the natural things, ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืขืจ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ื›ื‘ื™ื›ื•ืœ ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ื‘ืจื™ืื”, which Hashem himself set into the creation, ื”ืื‘ืŸ ืื•ื™ืฃ ื ืื™ื“ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ืงื™ื™ืŸ ืฉืœื™ื˜ื”, they have no control over a Yid, ื“ืขืจ ืื™ื“ ืื™ื– ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืชืคืขืœ, he doesn't care. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขืจื•ื™ืฃ ืคืื“ืขืจื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื”ืกื‘ืจื” ื ื•ืกืคืช. Here we need even an extra explanation. Not only ื›ื™ ืขืžื ื• ืงืœ, not only Hashem is with us, ื ืืจ ืื– ืื ื™ ืขืฉื™ืชื™, explanation, since the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ made it, ืžืžื™ืœื ืื ื™ ืืฉื ื•ืื ื™ ืืกื‘ื•ืœ, the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ could take care of it. Now that you know these pesukim go in the order of how much emunah and bitachon you have, these were the three pesukim that they told what they were taught in school. ื‘ื™ื™ ื“ืขื ืขืจืฉื˜ืŸ ืงื™ื ื“, and when it's the first child, you normally go from smaller to higher. By the first child is a ืชื™ื ื•ืง ื‘ืชื—ื™ืœืช ื—ื™ื ื•ื›ื•. That refers to a child in the beginning of his of his education. What is this? ืื™ื– ื“ืืก ืืŸ ืื•ืคืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืคืกื•ืง ืœื™ ืคืกื•ืงืš. That's why he came over to him. He didn't tell him like the second child said, \"I also I learned a lot.\" But he just said, \"ืคืกื•ืง ืœื™ ืคืกื•ืงืš, tell me.\" ืžืขืจ ืคื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ื”ืื‘ ืื™ืš ื ื™ื˜ ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜. As if saying I didn't learn anything. He didn't learn, he just knows this ื ืงื•ื“ื”. ืื‘ืขืจ ืืคื™ืœื• ืื™ื™ื“ืขืจ ืขืก ืื™ื– ืฉื™ื™ืš ืฆื• ืคืืจืฉื˜ื™ื™ืŸ ืžื™ื˜ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืฉื›ืœ, before he understands this, ื“ืืจืฃ ื‘ื™ื™ ืื™ื ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื‘ืคืฉื˜ื•ืช ืืคื’ืขืคืืกืงื ื˜. He teaches the word ืคืกื•ืง, ื•ื•ืืก ืคืกืง, that by a child it's ืืคื’ืขืคืืกืงื ื˜ ืื– ืืœ ืชื™ืจื ืžืคื—ื“ ืคืชืื•ื ื•ืžืฉื•ืืช ืจืฉืขื™ื ื›ื™ ืชื‘ื•ื. Don't be afraid. That's the lowest level. There will be a tzarah, there could be far, but I'm not afraid. It's solidified in him internally? Yeah, no, ื’ืขืคืืกืงื ื˜, it becomes, you know, like solidified. ื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ืขืจ ืชื™ื ื•ืง ื•ื•ืขืจื˜ ืขืœื˜ืขืจ, ืื•ืŸ ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ืฉื•ื™ืŸ ืžืขืจ ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜, when the ืชื™ื ื•ืง gets older, he learned more. So the second one already when you learned more, that's why the second one starts with these words, \"ืื ื™ ืงืจื™ืชื™ ื”ื™ื•ื, I learned a lot. ื•ื‘ื–ื” ื”ืคืกื•ืง, I stopped here.\" ืขืจ ื”ืื˜ ืฉื•ื™ืŸ ืืœื™ื™ืŸ ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜. ืขืจ ืื™ื– ืฉื™ื™ืš ืฆื• ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืื™ื™ื’ืขื ืข ืคืืจืฉื˜ืื ื“. He learned already. So, I learned, I mean, I understand. So, when you get older to understand, ืœืขืจื ื˜ ืžืขืŸ ืื™ื ื ื˜ื™ืคืขืจืŸ ืื•ืคืŸ. Here we give him a deeper understanding, a ื”ืขื›ืขืจืข ื“ืจื’ื” ืื™ืŸ emunah u'bitachon, a higher ื“ืจื’ื” in bitachon, ืžื™ื˜ ื’ืขื•ื•ื™ืกืงื™ื™ื˜ that he's sure, ืขื•ืฆื• ืขืฆื” ื•ืชื•ืคืจ ื“ื‘ืจื• ื“ื‘ืจ ื•ืœื ื™ืงื•ื, that to know that it'll never come, they try it, it'll be destroyed, and a hasbara, you give him an explanation, ื›ื™ ืขืžื ื• ืงืœ. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ื“ืจื™ื˜ืŸ ืคืกื•ืง, ืชื™ื ื•ืง, the third child, ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ื ืืš ืžืขืจ ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืืงืกืŸ ืื™ืŸ ืฉื›ืœ, it's already a third level and understands more, ื‘ืฉื›ืœ ื•ื“ืขืช, ืื™ื ืœืขืจื ื˜ ืžืขืŸ ืื•ืŸ ืžืขืŸ ืคืœืื ืฆื˜ ืื™ื™ืŸ, him you teach and you plant in him this idea, this feeling, ืื– ื ืื™ื“ ื•ื•ืขื˜ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื ืชืคืขืœ ื•ื•ืขืจืŸ ืืคื™ืœื• ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ื”ื’ื‘ืœื•ืช ื•ื—ื•ืงื™ ื”ื˜ื‘ืข, you don't care even in the ื”ื’ื‘ืœื•ืช and natural things, ื•ื•ืืก ื“ืขืจ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ, what the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ made, ืžื™ื˜ ื ื’ืื ืฆืข hasbara, it's a pasuk, it's an explanation of the pasuk. So these are three levels of education. I know a lot of Lubavitchers will give lectures in how to education based on this sicha. And the three stages of how you have to teach children, how you start in in emunah, and how you first you start with Practically? Huh? Is that with Mishlei? No, not for the pasuk, but the idea that it says here. The idea that you start off by a by a child when he's really small, he does not doesn't understand anything, he's in he's in in in in in in a in a in the cheder, he's he's still in pre pre-1A. So you teach him the idea: don't have to, should know this, that the Eibershter is there and that the Eibershter runs the world. But not but not To mom, it's that oh they have No, not the maalah, but you have to understand. And then when you get older, the next stage, you have to explain it to him, and you have to know that it goes up further. And then when you get older, it has to go further. This is that. ื‘ืฉืขืช ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขื”ืขืจื˜ ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืงื™ื ื“ืขืจ, ื‘ืขืช ืฉื”ื™ื• ื‘ืื™ื ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ. And the question, one of the questions Rebbe asks, \"What is it noge'a that he heard it when they're going out of school?\" This is a very important point here in education. He heard it from them not when they're in school. They were going out of school. Because you can teach kids and give them all kinds of, while they're in school, they behave. The question is what happens when they leave the school? Does it take, does it does that infect them so much? So when he heard the kids, ื‘ืขืช ืฉื”ื™ื• ื‘ืื™ื ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ, they were coming from the school, ื–ื™ื™ืขืจ ื—ื™ื ื•ืš ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ืื– ื ื™ื˜ ื ืืจ ื–ื™ื™ืขื ื“ื™ืง ืื™ืŸ ื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ ื‘ืื•ื•ืขื’ื˜ ืžืขืŸ ื–ื™ื™, ืžืขืŸ ืœืขืจื ื˜ ื–ื™ื™ ืืžื•ื ื” ื•ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ, ืืœ ืชื™ืจื, that not only when they're in school you teach them emunah and they shouldn't be afraid, ืื•ืŸ ืื–ื•ื™ ื•ื•ื™ ืขืก ื–ืืœ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ืืคื’ืขืœื™ื™ื’ื˜ ื‘ืขื™ืงืจ ืฉื›ืœ ืื‘ืขืจ ืจื’ืฉ. In school you teach them not only the first level, but the second level, they should even feel it, ื ืืจ ื–ื™ื™ ื ืขืžืขืŸ ื“ืืก ื“ืืก ืืœืฅ ืžื™ื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื•ื•ืขืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื‘ืื™ื ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ. They take it along when they're coming from school. ืงื•ืžืขื ื“ื™ืง ืฆื• ื–ื™ื™ืขืจืข ื”ื™ื™ื–ืขืจ, they come home. So when Mordechai heard the three levels, and they teaching them in school in a way that they even now on the way out of school they have it, ืฉื—ืง, he was happy, ื•ื”ื™ื” ืฉืžื— ืฉืžื—ื” ื’ื“ื•ืœื”. ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืคืกื•ืงื™ื, ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ื’ืขื–ืขืŸ, from these pesukim he saw, ืื– ื‘ื™ื™ ืื™ื“ืŸ ืื™ื– ื’ืื ืฅ ื“ื™ ื ืงื•ื“ื” ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช, ื‘ื™ื™ ืืœืข ืื™ื“ืŸ! He saw by all the Yidden. These children make it represent the Yidden. This is still strong. ืžืžื™ืœื, ืืคื™ืœื• ื“ื™ ื•ื•ืืก ื‘ื™ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ืื™ื– ื ืืš ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ื’ืœื•ื™, so therefore he understood, this taught him, even there are, by some it's not ื‘ื’ืœื•ื™, ื•ื•ื™ื™ืœ ื ืืจ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื“ืืก ื‘ื™ื™ ื–ื™ื™ ืžืื™ืจ ื•ืžื’ื•ืœื” ื–ืขื ืขืŸ ืื ื’ืขืงื•ืžืขืŸ ืžื‘ื™ืช ื”ืกืคืจ ืœื‘ื™ืชื. Since they're bringing it home, so all the children are bringing it home, so even that the home is not so, and there it's not ื‘ื’ืœื•ื™, they're bringing it home. ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื“ืขืจ ื“ื™ื•ืง ื”ืœืฉื•ืŸ ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™'ืก ืฉืžื—ื” ืื™ื–, \"ืžืŸ ื”ื‘ืฉื•ืจื•ืช ื˜ื•ื‘ื•ืช ืฉื‘ื™ืฉืจื•ื ื™ ืฉืœื ืืคื—ื“ ืžืŸ ืขืฆื” ืจืขื” ืฉื™ืขืฅ ืขืœื™ื ื•.\" What did he say? \"I'm happy because it's a great besorah.\" So the vort is like this: if you learn it's a nevuah, you know what the peshat is? You're not happy from what they said, you're happy that this is merumaz that something going to happen. But the way the Rebbe is learning, what they said is what he's happy about! He's happy that they said this, because these sayings meanโ€”imagine you come to a child and the child says, \"The Eibershter is there\"โ€”that that itself is this! So he says \"ืฉื‘ื™ืฉืจื•ื ื™\", ื“ื™ ื“ื™ื‘ื•ืจื™ื ืขืฆืžื ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื–ื™ื™ื ืขืŸ ื“ื™ ื‘ืฉื•ืจื•ืช ื˜ื•ื‘ื•ืช ืฉื‘ื™ืฉืจื•ื ื™. Not that it teaches you epes another besorah. This itself is the best besorah! ืื– ื‘ื™ื™ ืื™ื“ืŸ ืื™ื– ื’ืื ืฅ ืื•ืŸ ื•ื•ืขื˜ ื–ื™ื™ืŸ ื’ืื ืฅ ื“ื™ ื ืงื•ื“ื” ืคื•ืŸ ื™ื”ื“ื•ืช, ื”ืื‘ืŸ ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ. That Yidden is whole, there's ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ, ื•ื•ืืก ืื™ื– ืžื‘ื˜ืœ ื’ื–ื™ืจืช ื”ืžืŸ, ืฉืœื ืืคื—ื“. ืื•ืŸ ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ืื•ื™ืš, now the other part is also understood: what happened right after when Haman Haman heard this? Haman got angry and he said, \"I'm going to start with them.\" Now what's the deeper peshat? Why was he going to start with them? ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ืื•ื™ืš ื•ื•ืืก ืžื™ื“ ื›ืขืก ื”ืžืŸ ื”ืจืฉืข, ื•ืืžืจ, \"ืื™ื ื™ ืฉื•ืœื— ืืœื ื™ื“ ื‘ืชื—ื™ืœื” ืืœื ื‘ืืœื• ื”ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช\", \"I'm going to start with these children.\" Why? In ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ื”ืื˜ ืขืจ ื’ืขื–ืขืŸ ื“ืขื ื”ืžืฉืš, ืื•ืŸ ื“ืขื ื”ืžืฉืš. What Mordechai saw, Haman saw! Haman said, \"This is a problem! These kids are a problem!\" What Mordechai saw as a good besorah, so to Haman it was a problem. He said, \"Oh, I got to get rid of them! Because they are showing what is true.\" ืื•ืŸ ื ืืš ืžืขืจ, ื“ื™ ืกื™ื‘ื” ืคืืจื•ื•ืืก ืขืจ ืœื ื™ื›ืจืข ื•ืœื ื™ืฉืชื—ื•ื” ืคืืจื™ืŸ, ืื™ื– ื‘ืขื ื™ืŸ ื“ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”. They are the problem, why they don't bow down to me. No, you, that's the strength of the Jew would come to the little children, they're learning these things. That's what he said, and that's the meaning, that's what he's saying, that these are the ones that, why? Because they're learning it, and this is and this shows what Yidden now, so I got to get rid of them. ืขืคืดื™ ื”ื ืดืœ ืฆื• ืงื•ืžืขืŸ ืฆื• Tosafos ื”ืกื‘ืจื”, ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขืจ ืžืืžืจ ืขืœ ื–ื” ื”ื™ื“ื•ืข, \"ืงื™ืžื• ื•ืงื‘ืœื• ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื\", it says in the in the Megillah, \"ืงื™ืžื• ื•ืงื‘ืœื• ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื\", the Yidden fulfilled and accepted. What do you mean, \"fulfilled and accepted\"? So the Chazal say: ืงื™ืžื• ืžื” ืฉืงื‘ืœื• ื›ื‘ืจ. They they fulfilled what they accepted a long time ago. ื•ื•ืืก ื”ื™ื™ืกื˜? ื‘ื™ื™ Matan Torah, Yidden accepted the Torah, but really it wasn't a full full acceptance. ื“ืขืจ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ forced them, ื›ืคื” ืขืœื™ื”ื ื”ืจ ื›ื’ื™ื’ื™ืช, put the mountain over and he forced them. So it says, \"ืžื›ืืŸ ืžื•ื“ืขื ืจื‘ื” ืœืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื\". Yidden, till Purim, Yidden every Yid, if the ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ would complain, \"Why are you not doing mitzvot?\", you would have a good excuse. What's his excuse? \"I didn't accept, You forced me.\" From Purim on, this was a second Matan Torah, so here they accepted it. ืื– ื“ืขืจ ื˜ืขื ื” ืื™ื– ื‘ื˜ืœ ื’ืขื•ื•ืืจืŸ, ื“ืขืจ ืžื•ื“ืขื ืจื‘ื” ืœืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื. The The The excuse Yidden had was ื‘ื˜ืœ. ื‘ื™ืžื™ ืื—ืฉื•ืจื•ืฉ ื”ื“ื•ืจ ืงื‘ืœื•ื”, they accepted it again. ืื•ืŸ Chassidus ืื™ื– ืžื‘ืืจ ื“ืขื ืคืกื•ืง, \"ื•ืงื‘ืœ ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื ืืช ืืฉืจ ื”ื—ืœื• ืœืขืฉื•ืช\", there's another pasuk that says the Yidden accepted what they started. So Chassidus explains, what do you mean they accepted now what they started? What did they start? At Matan Torah. At Matan Torah it was the ื”ืชื—ืœื”, ื”ื—ืœื• ืœืขืฉื•ืช, that was the beginning. ืื‘ืœ ื“ืขืžืืœื˜ ืื™ื– ื“ื™ ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ ืคื•ืŸ ืื™ื“ืŸ ืื•ื™ืฃ ืงื‘ืœืช ื”ืชื•ืจื”, because then, even though they had mesirat nefesh for receiving the Torah, ื”ืงื“ื™ืžื• ื ืขืฉื” ืœื ืฉืžืข, they said, \"ื ืขืฉื” ื•ื ืฉืžืข\", is ื’ืขืงื•ืžืขืŸ ืžืฆื“ ืœืžืขืœื”, ื›ืคื” ืขืœื™ื”ื ื”ืจ ื›ื’ื™ื’ื™ืช, the Eibershter forced them. ืื‘ืขืจ ื‘ื™ืžื™ ืคื•ืจื™ื ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื•ืงื‘ืœ ื”ื™ื”ื•ื“ื™ื, a ืงื‘ืœื” ื’ืžื•ืจื”, that they really accepted, through the ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ ืคื•ืŸ ื›ืœ ื™ืฉืจืืœ ืžืขืฆืžื, here they on their own they did it. ื“ืขืจ ืขื™ืงืจ ืื™ื– ื“ืืŸ ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ื™ ื’ืžืจ ื•ืฉืœื™ืžื•ืช ืงื‘ืœืช ื”ืชื•ืจื”. So that's what, that was the completion of ืงื‘ืœืช ื”ืชื•ืจื”. How was that accepted? Huh? That they behaved that way, and they were all Huh? There's no claim anymore. There is. ืงื™ืžื• ื•ืงื‘ืœื•, they passed. Sure, they were able Had, and the Alter Rebbe explains, had they told Haman that we're giving up our religion, they would have been saved from the gezeirah. And not one Jew did it. He wanted to kill them, it wasn't to see if they would Right, and that that's the chiddush. And nevertheless, he wanted to kill the Yidden, the moment the Jew would say to him, \"I give up my Yiddishkeit,\" okay, you're fine. So, obviously So it comes out that Purim and the story of Purim is an end of ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”. Based on what we said before, that what happened here by Purim, what caused it all? The fact that the kids were trained were educated properly. We see another connection between Purim and ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”. What brought about ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”, we should get the Torah? The children! And here is, again, according to the sichah, it's the children. He says: ื›ืฉื ืื™ืŸ ื“ืขื ื–ืžืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ื”ื—ืœื• ืœืขืฉื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”, just like in the ืคื•ืŸ ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”, ืื™ื– ื“ืืก ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื‘ื–ื›ื•ืช ื“ืขืจ ืขืจื‘ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืงื™ื ื“ืขืจ, the zechut of the guarantee of the children, ื‘ื ื™ื ื• ืขืจื‘ื™ื ื‘ืขื“ื ื•, the children guarantee, ืคืืจ ื“ืขื ื”ืื˜ ื“ืขืจ ืื•ื™ื‘ืขืจืฉื˜ืขืจ ื’ืขื’ืขื‘ืŸ ื“ื™ ืชื•ืจื” ืฆื• ื™ื™ื“ืŸ, and the Eibershter gave the Torah to Yidden. ืขืœ ื“ืจืš ื–ื” ื•ื•ืขืŸ ืขืก ื•ื•ืืจ ื‘ื™ืžื™ ืื—ืฉื•ืจื•ืฉ, same thing happens here, ืื– ื“ื™ ืงื‘ืœื” ื’ืžื•ืจื”, the end exceptions, accepting of the ืชื•ืจื”, ื”ืื˜ ื–ื™ืš ืื ื’ืขื”ื•ื™ื‘ืŸ ืžื™ื˜ ื“ืขืจ ืขืจื‘ื•ืช ืคื•ืŸ ื“ื™ ืงื™ื ื“ืขืจ, came again because of kids. ืกื™ื™ ื“ื™ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช ืฉืœ ื‘ื™ืช ืจื‘ืŸ ื•ื•ืืก ืž'ื”ืื˜ ื’ืขืจืขื“ื˜ ืคืจื™ืขืจ, the children that we spoke about before, ื•ื‘ื›ืœืœ ื“ื™ ื›ืดื‘ ืืœืฃ ืชื™ื ื•ืงื•ืช, the two 22,000 children ื•ื•ืืก ืžืจื“ื›ื™ ื”ืื˜ ืฆื•ื–ืืžืขื ื’ืขืงืœื™ื‘ืŸ, he gathered, ื’ืขืœืขืจื ื˜, and he learned with them, ืื™ื™ื ื’ืขืคืœืื ืฆื˜ ืื™ืŸ ื–ื™ื™ ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ ื‘ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ื•ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ, ืขืœ ืื•ืคืŸ ืฉื‘ืืžืช, and he put mesirat nefesh. Was this after after this incident? After this incident, and he had more children and he 22,000. And that brought about the nes. So it fits, because ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื” the beginning came because of children and here because of children. And then there's another point the Rebbe's going to make now. And this one, just like we said that this is a bigger ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื” than before. Why? Because here they did it on their own, ืœืžื˜ื”, not ืžืœืžืขืœื”. ืœื’ื‘ื™ the children is the same thing. Over there, the children was, the parents said that it's guarantee. Here, the children said, that's what he said, ื•ื›ืฉื ื•ื•ื™ ื“ืขืจ ื—ื™ืœื•ืง ืคื•ืŸ ืคื•ืจื™ื ืœื’ื‘ื™ ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื” ืื™ื– ื›ื ืดืœ ื‘ืืจื™ื›ื•ืช, and then, just like we said before, what's the ma'alah of of ืคื•ืจื™ื ืœื’ื‘ื™ ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื”? ื‘ืžืชืŸ ืชื•ืจื” ืื™ื– ื“ื™ ืžืกื™ืจืช ื ืคืฉ ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื‘ืœื•ื™ื– ื‘ื›ื•ื—, first of all, mesiras nefesh only potentially. ืžืฆื“ ื–ื” ื“ื™ ื ืฉืžื” ืื™ื– ืžืœืžืขืœื”, because they, ืžืœืžืขืœื”, they brought it out in them. ืื‘ืขืจ ืื™ืŸ ืคื•ืจื™ื ืื™ื– ื“ืืก ืื™ื™ื ื’ืขืฉื˜ืื ืขืŸ ืื– ื“ืืก ืื™ื– ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ, ืื•ื™ืš ืžืฆื“ ื’ื•ืคื ืžืฆื“ ื”ืžืขืฉื”. Here they were mesiras nefesh on their own. ืื–ื•ื™ ืื™ื– ืื•ื™ืš ื‘ื ื•ื’ืข ื“ืขื ืขื ื™ืŸ ืคื•ืŸ ืดื‘ื ื™ื ื• ืขืจื‘ื™ื ื‘ืขื“ื ื•ืด, the same thing with the children. ืื– ื‘ืคื•ืจื™ื ืื™ื– ื“ืืก ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื ื™ืฉื˜ ื‘ืœื•ื™ื– ื‘ื›ื•ื—, ืคื•ืจื™ื, it wasn't just potentially the children would do it, ื•ืžืฆื“ ืืžื™ืจืช ื”ืื‘ื•ืช, the parents said that we'll guarantee for them, ื“ืืก ื”ืื˜ ื–ื™ืš ื’ืขื˜ื•ื™ืฉื˜, ืื•ื™ืกื’ืขื“ืจื™ืงื˜ ื‘ืคื•ืขืœ ื‘ื™ื™ ื“ื™ ื‘ื ื™ื ื’ื•ืคื ื›ื ืดืœ, the children themselves. ืื•ืŸ ื ืืš ืžืขืจ, ื–ื™ื™ ื”ืื‘ืŸ ื“ืืก ื’ืขืคื•ืขืœื˜ ืื•ื™ืš ื‘ื™ื™ ื“ื™ ืื‘ื•ืช, and they brought it home to the parents. ืžืฆื“ ื“ืขื ืื™ื– ื“ื•ื•ืงื ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ื•ื•ืงื ื“ื ื’ืขื•ื•ืขืŸ ื“ื™ ืงื‘ืœื”, ื“ื™ ืงื‘ืœื” ื’ืžื•ืจื”.
