Three Leaders, One Shavuos, and What Each One Left Us

Three Leaders, One Shavuos, and What Each One Left Us

Part of Shavuot · 47:32

A Likkutei Sichos-based Shavuos shiur exploring why Moshe Rabbeinu, Dovid Hamelech, and the Baal Shem Tov are all connected to the same day, each the 'first' in his own category of malchus. The sicha traces how each one implanted a different dimension of 'mamlechet kohanim' into every Jew -- living above nature, feeling Hashem's hand while working within nature, and remaining a melech even in the deepest darkness of golus -- mapped onto three historical eras and three daily modes of avodah (Torah, tefillah, mitzvos).

Moshe, Dovid, and the Baal Shem Tov: All Connected to Shavuos

The Rebbe says here, 诪注谉 讛讗讟 砖讜讬谉 讙注专注讚讟 讗讜谉 诪注谉 讛讗讟 砖讜讬谉 驻讬诇 诪讗诇 讙注专注讚讟, it was spoken many times, 讗讝 诪讬讟'谉 讝诪谉 驻讜谉 砖讘讜注讜转 讛讗讟 诪注谉 驻讗专讘讜谞讚谉, that in connection to the time of Shavuos, it's connected to three things, to three people: 诪砖讛 专讘讬谞讜, 诪讞诪转 注住 讗讬讝 讙注讙注讘谉 讙注讜讜讗专谉 讚讬 转讜专讛 讗讬谉 砖讘讜注讜转, since the Torah was given through Moshe, so he's connected to Shavuos. The difference is the Baal Shem Tov passed away on the first day of Shavuos, and David Hamelech on the on the second day of Shavuos. Alright, the shaila is that it was those days there are no two days Shavuos, but that year, the first day of Shavuos was on 讝, 讝' Sivan, which by us happens to be always 讝 is always the second day. But by him it was the, it was just only in one day then. Since Shavuos could be sometimes 讛, some, by us, not now, now when the calendar is fixed, it's always 讜. But they were 诪拽讚砖 注诇 驻讬 讛专讗讬讛, if both months, Nissan and Iyar, were 诪诇讗, so it came out on 讛. If both had 30 days. If both had, excuse me, had 29 days, and then it came out on 讝. If one is 诪诇讗 and one is 讞住专, it came out on 讜, and by us it's always 诪诇讗 and 讞住专. But those days it could come out, so obviously that year, that's what everyone explains, it says David passed away on 讝 and he passed away on Shavuos, how could it be? Because that year, Shavuos was on 讝. Anyway, the bottom line, hashgacha pratit, everything is 讛砖讙讞讛 驻专讟讬转, 讜讘驻专讟 讜讜注谉 注住 专注讚讟 讝讬讱 讜讜注讙谉 诪讗讜专注讜转 讗讬谉 砖讬讬讻讜转 诪讬讟 讗讬讚谉 讘讻诇诇, 讙讚讜诇讬 讬砖专讗诇, 讙讚讜诇讬 谞砖讬讗讬 讬砖专讗诇 讘驻专讟, especially anything has to do with Yidden, especially 讙讚讜诇讬 讬砖专讗诇, 谞砖讬讗讬诐, is muvan, from that we understand is that number one, 讗讝 注住 讚讗专祝 讝讬讬谉 讗 谞拽讜讚讛 讛诪砖讜转驻转 爪讜讜讬砖谉 讝讬讬, there must be some common denominator between all three: Moshe, David and the Baal Shem Tov. 讜讜讗住 讚注专驻讗专 讝注谞注谉 讝讬讬 讗诇注 驻讗专讘讜谞讚谉 诪讬讟'谉 讝注诇讘谉 讟讗讙, that's why they're all connected to the same day. And the second thing, Besides the fact that they have something in common, that nekudah which is in common must be a nekudah that's connected to In other words, the connection between the three is in the inyanim which have to do with 诪转谉 转讜专讛. That's why they're all three together on what? On the day of Shavuos. Can't be that they're all the same. It's one common denominator, but in each one that same common point is different. 讬注讚注专 驻讗专 讝讬讱, 讘诇砖讜谉 讛砖状住, 爪专讬讻讗, everyone is needed for his own reason. So it's in the same inyan, and they all have the same inyan in different different branches, different inyanim. So the 谞拽讜讚讛 讛诪砖讜转驻转 of Moshe, Dovid and the Baal Shem Tov is amongst the common points, common denominator between all the these three: Moshe, Dovid and the 讘注诇 砖诐 讟讜讘, 讗讝 讬注讚注专 驻讜谉 讝讬讬 讗讬讝 讙注讜讜注谉 谞讬砖讟 谞讗专 讗 诪诇讱 讗讜谉 讗 谞砖讬讗 讘讬砖专讗诇, that each one of them not only was a melech and a nasi, a leader of 讗讬讚谉, 谞讗专 讗讬谉 讚注诐 讙讜驻讗 讗 专讗砖讜谉 讗讬谉 讚注诐 住讜讙 驻讜谉 诪诇讜讻讛 讜谞砖讬讗讜转. Each one was a first in a certain category of leadership. They're all three leaders, but in that gufa, each one started a certain thing. Moshe Rabbeinu obviously was the first nasi, the first leader. So he's the first. So he was a melech and the first melech. He was also a first, and also in malchut. He was the first one for 诪诇讻讜转 讘讬转 讚讜讚. 讜讜讗住 讻讬讜谉 砖谞诪砖讞 讚讜讚 讝讻讛 讘讻转专 诪诇讻讜转, it says that as soon as Dovid became melech, he was zochah to the level, concept of 诪诇讻讜转, 诇讜 讜诇讘谞讬讜 注讚 注讜诇诐, he and his children, his sons, for all for always, forever. Der Eibershter promised that the malchut will not be taken away from Dovid ever, ever. So the bottom line is that there's a special concept of 诪诇讻讜转 讘讬转 讚讜讚, and Dovid Hamelech was the first one from 诪诇讻讜转 讘讬转 讚讜讚. So Moshe was the first one of 诪诇讻讜转 讘讻诇诇, Dovid was the first one of He was the first leader also of something, of 讞住讬讚讜转, of 转讜专转 讛讞住讬讚讜转. Is 讘讬转 讚讜讚 and Dovid two different things? No, 讘讬转 讚讜讚 is a household, it's his house. He's the first. No, but 讘讬转 讚讜讚 is the concept of 诪诇讻讜转 forever, that's what he said. 讘讬转 讚讜讚 is a special type of 诪诇讻讜转. When Shaul became 诪诇讱, he became 诪诇讱. Doesn't mean that if 诪诇讜讻讛, it's a dynasty that's gonna stay forever. Why? 讚注专 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 promised Dovid, it says, even when Shaul asked, he promised Dovid take it back, so I can't take that back. And there's something 诪诇讻讜转 and Dovid represents 诪诇讻讜转 讚讗爪讬诇讜转, whatever, all these 注谞讬谞讬诐. So his 诪诇讻讜转 stays. So he's the first of a special dynasty Moshe is the first in 诪诇讻讜转 讘讻诇诇 and Baal Shem Tov is the first one in 讞住讬讚讜转 in 谞砖讬讗讬 讞住讬讚讜转. Now, this explains shows the common denominator that they have all three how it's connected to 诪转谉 转讜专讛, 讗讜讬祝 驻讜谉 讚讬 注谞讬谞讬诐 注讬拽专讬诐, was that it's connected to Matan Torah, cuz one of the main things that happened with Matan Torah is 讙注讜讜注谉, was that the Yid is geworden, a teil 驻讜谉 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐. The 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 said, \"You will be 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐 讜讙讜讬 拽讚讜砖.\" So the Yidden became 诪诇讻讬诐. Which means it says in Rashi, being 砖专讬诐 like princes. So Matan Torah is 诪诇讻讜转. And in the inyan of 诪转谉 转讜专讛, you had these three that they have the specialty in 诪诇讻讜转. And the koach of 爪讜 拽注谞注谉 讗专讜讬住讘专注谞讙注谉 讚讗住 讘讙讬诇讜讬, and the koach on every Yid to be able to bring out 讘讙讬诇讜讬 the fact of 诪诇讻讜转, takes, get the Yid from the 谞砖讬讗讬 讬砖专讗诇 in yer 讚讜专. So the Yidden take it from the different 谞砖讬讗讬诐, 讻讚讬 诇讛拽讬诐, so it comes out that each one of these three gave a special koach in a special aspect of 诪诇讻讜转 of the Yidden becoming each one like a 诪诇讱, as we'll explain further. So it explains like this, the What's the connection between the Yidden becoming a 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐, what's that got to do with 诪转谉 转讜专讛?

Mamlechet Kohanim: Every Jew Becomes a Melech Through Torah

First, let's explain what is 诪诇讻讜转? What is 诪诇讜讻讛? See, the nekudah is, 注讬拽专 诪诇讻讜转 is 讛转谞砖讗讜转. The main thing of 诪诇讻讜转 is 讛转谞砖讗讜转, elevated. The fact that a king is, ha, elevated, separate from the whole nation. He's a s- higher entity. Like, he's not allowed to, pashut, work, do any 诪诇讗讻讛, in front of other people. There's no din by other people. Yeah, a person could do 诪诇讗讻讛, but a 诪诇讱 is not allowed. He's supposed to be so, you know, elevated, and the people are supposed to look at him as a separate thing. The dark of 爪讜砖讟注诇谉 讗诇注 讝讬讬谞注 爪专讻讬诐, is the obligation of the nation to make sure he has all his needs 诪讬讟 讙专讜讬住 讛专讞讘讛, plenty, as it says, \"诪诇讱 讘讬驻讬讜 转讞讝讬谞讛 注讬谞讬讱. The king in his beauty your eyes shall see.\" 拽讬讬谉 注专 讗讜谉 拽讬讬谉 讝讗讱 讗讬谉 讚注专 诪讚讬谞讛 拽注谉 谞讬讟 讗驻讛讗诇讟谉 讚注诐 诪诇讱 驻讜谉 讚讜专讻驻讬专谉 讝讬讬谞注 专爪讜谞讜转. No one, nothing in the country could stop him from doing what he wants. 讻诪讗诪专 讞讝\"诇, it says, \"讛诪诇讱 驻讜专抓 讙讚专, 讜讗讬谉 诪讜讞讬谉 讘讬讚讜.\" He can break through a wall, and no one can stop him. It's another lashon, \"讗诪专 诪诇讻讜转讗, 注拽专 讟讜专讗.\" If the king wants, he could say, and a mountain will be moved. He'll say, \"Move the mountain.\" That's So we see how he is special. He is a completely higher than everybody else. The same concept 诪转谉 转讜专讛 caused by the Yidden. We got elevated. This made Yidden higher than the world. That made that the Yidden are not, now, part of nature. Not controlled, huh? We're not controlled by nature. We are not part of what the nature is. We're higher than that. Which is similar to the concept of a 诪诇讱, who is higher than the people. We are higher than the world. Where do we? In other words, it means, Yidden 讝注谞注谉 注讜砖讛 专爪讜谞讜 砖诇 诪拽讜诐, if Yidden 注讜住拽 讘转讜专讛 讜诪爪讜讜转 讘砖诇讬诪讜转, if Yidden do the will of Hashem, they do Torah and Mitzvos properly, is 谞讬讟 谞讗指专 讜讜讗指住 讝讬讬 讘讗址拽讜诪注谉 讚讗址谉 讗址诇注 讝讬讬注专注 爪专讻讬诐 讘讛专讞讘讛, not only will the Eibeshter give them everything they need, like by a melech, you have to give him everything he needs. You wouldn't even have to work. You won't have to plant and plow. It says clearly if Yidden do the will of Hashem, the work was done through others. Which, again, is like a melech. Just like a melech, if he wants, he could have anybody work for him, anybody do what he wants. Same thing, a Yid, be'etzem, if he does the right thing, as expected by Matan Torah, you're able to have others work for you. In the avodah, if you look at me if we are to apply it to every single Yid's avodah, what does that mean? When it comes to something to to do something of Torah and Mitzvos, Every Yid has to behave like a melech. Er darf zich obgeben mit der mitzvah punk vel gevehn, we er volt nit gehat keen andere melochos mit dienes, he do the mitzvah as if he had no other worries. Nothing about, cause everything, any worry you have will be taken care of. Wie einer was stellt ihm 爪讜 讝讬讬谞注 爪专讻讬诐 讘讛专讞讘讛, like somebody who, there are other people who worry about your welfare. So, you never have worries. It doesn't mean you have it, but you know other people will worry about it. That's like a melech and that's what every Yid has to feel when it comes to mitzvos. Yeah? Kein tebedike cheshbon, kein tebedike cheshbon 讝讗诇 讚讬讱 谞讬砖讟 讗驻讛讗诇讟谉 驻讜谉 爪讜 讟讜谉 讗 诪爪讜讛, nothing, no, no natural cheshbon should stop you from doing a mitzvah. Weile in inyonim 驻讜谉 转讜专讛 讜诪爪讜讜转, is a Yid a balabos, a melech of teva. When it comes to Torah and Mitzvos, a Yid is the balabos. Like the king, the king is the balabos over the over everything, he's the balabos. Since each one of these three, Moshe, David, and Baal Shem Tov, each one was a melech, a 谞砖讬讗, 讗讜谉 讚注专讬讘注专 讙注驻讬谞讟 诪注谉 讘讬讬 讝讬讬 注砖讬专讜转 讜讛专讞讘讛 讗讬谉 讙砖诪讬讜转, that's what we find by all three of them. Besides that they were rich b'gashmiyus. Who was Baal Shem Tov rich b'gashmiyus? So in he'arah 20, star, he says Moshe, the Gemara says that he became very rich, when he carved out the luchot he became rich. David, he says look in Divrei Hayamim, 转谞状讱, and look in Rambam, that he had anything, all the riches that he needed. And the Baal Shem Tov, Baal Shem Tov, Baal Shem Tov like could, he could have anything, anything he wanted, was never missing. If he need the light and there was no candle, so he told him to light up the the the icicle. But it's known that he lived like harchavah? Good, so he had the that means that he to him he had All his What does it say? All his tzrachim were given to him. He had nothing never to worry about. Later, lechatchilah before his hisgalut it was very poor, all kinds of ma'asiyot, but after the hisgalut, wagon yeah yeah, but that's all before, before he became nasi. So besides that, Huh? When did he become a nasi? When? Being a nasi officially? We know that it was a nasi, but it's Sure, officially, when he became, he had talmidim. When he had I mean he was the he was the nasi of the dor. But he was nistar. Of course, he was a nistar, so he wasn't a nasi. But then he became a nasi, when he became niglah and then he became the Rebbe. 36? Yeah, so 26? 36. 36. So besides having everything he needs, he also had a The all three had a control over nature. Their whole behavior was higher than teva. Yeah, and the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专 saves him. At the end the wars and everything, the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专 saves him. And you see in Tehillim, they constantly praise the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专. So because these three had the concept of a 诪诇讱, besides they were 诪诇讻讬诐, and they had everything they needed, they were control over 讟讘注. So from them we get a 讻讞 that we also control 讟讘注, that we don't, we're not limited to 讟讘注. But, 诇驻讜注诇, this is very 讻诇诇讜转'讚讬拽. We said before that each one gave a 讻讞 to a specific aspect. So he says, let's understand 诪转谉 转讜专讛, 讘讻诇诇 the whole 讙讬诇讜讬 of 诪转谉 转讜专讛 has three 注谞讬谞讬诐 in it. At 诪转谉 转讜专讛, the first thing was this was a time of the 讛转讙诇讜转 of 讗诇拽讜转. The whole world is against 讛砖诐, 诇讗诪专 讗谞讬 讜讗驻住讬 注讜讚, everything in the world says, \"It's me. Nothing else. No recognition of the So you have the 讙讬诇讜讬 of 诪转谉 转讜专讛 itself, you have the 转讜爪讗讛 is makes the world more kli for gives that's 讝讻讻讜转 for for 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转, and then you have to bring 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转 down. These three things, even though it happened at the time of 诪转谉 转讜专讛, but if you look at it, each one of these three is a different period of, if you sep- spread this out in history, each one of these fits to a different period in in the history of Yidden. Which are the three times? 讗讬谉 讝诪谉 驻讜谉 诪讚讘专, the time when the Yidden were in the desert, 讗讬谉 讚注专 爪讬讬讟 讜讜注谉 讗讬讚谉 讝注谞注谉 讙注讜讜注谉 注诇 讗讚诪转诐, the time when the Yidden were in 讗专抓 讬砖专讗诇, 讗讜谉 讗讬谉 讚注专 讝诪谉 讛讙诇讜转, time of galus. These are the three periods, and the three periods you'll see have, 讘讻诇诇讜转, these three inyanim, and he explains how. 讚讬 讗讬讚谉 讜讜讗住 讝讬讬谞注谉 讗讬谉 诪讚讘专 讛讗讘谉 诪拽讘诇 讙注讜讜注谉 讚讬 转讜专讛, 谞砖诪讜转 讘讙讜驻讬诐, the Yidden who were there in the 诪讚讘专, who actually received the Torah while the neshamah was pashut physically down here, see everyone else was at Matan Torah also, but not in 讙讜驻讬诐, our 谞砖诪讜转 were there, but they were there pashut with their 讙讜驻讬诐, 讗讬讝 讘讬讬 讝讬讬 驻讗专讘诇讬讘谉 讘讙讬诇讜讬 诪注讬谉 驻讜谉 讚注专 讛转讙诇讜转 驻讜谉 诪转谉 转讜专讛 砖驻注讟注专. The 注爪诐 讛转讙诇讜转 of Matan Torah they had. So m'meila, even when Matan Torah was over, they basically had that in them. So the first point, which is the 注爪诐 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转 of Matan Torah, they had. They were higher than the velt, pashut. They were in the 诪讚讘专, had nothing to do with the 讜讜注诇讟. They ate the man, which is not normal. Sure, the clothes grew with them, the water they had, all that mamash nisim. 爪讜 拽注谞注谉 讝讬讱 讗驻讙注讘谉 讗讬谞讙讗谞爪谉 诪讬讟 转讜专讛, so they were able to be involved completely in Torah, k'ma'amar Chazal, as Chazal say: 诇讗 谞讬转谞讛 转讜专讛 讗诇讗 诇讗讜讻诇讬 讛诪谉, 转讜专讛 was really given to those that ate the man, they were the most ra'ui to Torah. So that's already the So that's mamash the first thing. Like the first thing of Matan Torah is 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转, they were living a life of 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转. Second thing was what? That the the 爪讬讜专 was that even after that they made even after 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转 left, the velt became a softer, 讗讬讬讚注诇注专 讜讜注诇讟. In Eretz Yisrael, that's the second the second 转拽讜驻讛, 讗讝 讬讬讚谉 讝注谞注谉 讗专讬讬谉 讗讬谉 讗专抓 谞讜砖讘转, they already not beyond teva. They came into a settled land, 讗 住讚专 讛讞讬讬诐 驻讜谉 讟讘注讚讬拽注 讻谞注驻专谉, they lived a life which is natural. In Eretz Yisrael, which if yidden worked, their hashgacha pratis you could see. It's not That applies now too. Yeah, yeah. Now, even there it's galus. Now it's more than here, but the ikar it was when the yidden with the Beis Hamikdash, where the Eibershter's eyes are there. 讜讗驻讬诇讜 讘注讘讜讚转 讛讗讚诪讛, even when they worked the land, which is not like the midbar where they didn't work, they just learned Torah all day, they worked the land, 讜讝专注 讜拽爪讬专... 诇讗 讬砖讘讜转讜, 讛砖诐 promised by after the mabul that the seasons with the planting with the ploughing is never going to stop, 讗讬讝 诇诪讟专 讛砖诪讬诐 转砖转讛 诪讬诐. How did it, sof kol sof, make them get the food? From the rain. What's rain? That's why it says in Eretz Yisrael as a ma'alah has rain, not like Mitzrayim. Big deal! Well, who cares? Because when you have rain, 讝注讟 讘讙诇讜讬 讗讝 讚注专 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 is there, 讜讜讗住 讗讬讝 讝谉 讜诪驻专谞住 讻诇. When you have to rain, sometimes it doesn't, and then you have to daven, and the Eibershter gives. So it means that it shows that you have to come onto the Eibershter. 讜诪诪讬诇讗, 讜讜讬讬住讟 诪注谉 拽诇讗专 讗讝 讚讬 注住拽 讘讻诇 讗砖专 转注砖讛 in Eretz Yisrael, they knew clearly that even though they're involved in what they're doing, cuz it's already no more midbar, no more 诪谉, 讗讬讝 诪注谉 谞讬讟 讜讜讬 诪讗讻谉 讗 讻诇讬 讗讜讬驻爪讜谞注诪注谉 讚讬 讘专讻转 讛壮 讗诇拽讬讱 讜讜讗住 拽讜诪讟 诪诇诪注诇讛. It made them realize, they realized there that even though they're involved in velt, but it's all from Hashem. Which is similar to the second thing. Second thing was that even after the Shechinah left, but it made the velt feel closer to Hashem, that's that's exactly This is also It's When they left the midbar, they left really And still, in the velt that they had, they held That showed him, yeah, that showed, right, right. It gave him the feel, 讗讬讝 诪讛 讚讙诇讜转, aber, of the third level, what's the third thing? The third thing, before we said the tachlis of 诪转谉 转讜专讛 that there should be a 转讞转讜谉 and bring 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转 into 转讞转讜谉. And when were the Yidden a level of 转讞转讜谉? In galut! 讗讜转讜转讬谞讜 诇讗 专讗讬谞讜, we do not see any miracles. It's a matzav that you could think, you can make a mistake and think that you're under the rules of teva like a goy. That's the third thing, that you're in a level of 转讞转讜谉. And the Eibershter wants: in the 转讞转讜谉, you should make a 讚讬专讛 诇讜 讬转讘专讱. Regard to the 讜讜注诇讟, the 讙讬诇讜讬 of 诪转谉 转讜专讛 was there only a short while. By Yidden, 诪转谉 转讜专讛, which brought them 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐, set it into the Yid's heart forever. No, that's part that's part of 诪转谉 转讜专讛. Okay, because he's asking Something that's good only has It has use for it. How do you know the use you have? If they think what use you have, it's not If you have no value and you have no... It doesn't have no value. In that world it didn't mean nothing. But whatever they felt it was. And later they could have used it when they went to Eretz Yisrael. B'shaat maaseh, they didn't need it. So he says that they learned that how it's b'harchavat hadaat. Moshiach is going to come. You can walk in the garden 36 and pick from the tree fruits and bread, or clothes, or diamonds, or whatever you want. It doesn't say diamonds. It doesn't say that? Where diamonds? Whatever you want. Clothes and bread, it says. Clothes and bread. That's it? When Moshiach comes. Diamonds will be in, it's already, is often, very often, also. Okay, but here you have two distinct, bread, so to speak, you know, stuff of personal and practical use and diamonds. If it goes to 砖诇诪讜转 讛讙砖诪讬讜转, so what's the most precious thing in gashmiyut? Diamonds are the most precious things. So that's the by her thing. That's the most Someone asks, what's the most precious thing in the world, in gashmiyut? Jewels. So, first through Moshe Rabbeinu, they got the first level which is the 讗讬讘注专讙注讙注讘谉 驻讜谉 讜讜注诇讟 讜诪注诇讛 诪谉 讛讟讘注, that's how they lived. The 诇砖讜谉 讛驻住讜拽, the pasuk says: 讻讬 转讘讜讗讜 讗诇 讛讗专抓, you come to the land, 砖砖 砖谞讬诐 转讝专注, you have to plant, six years, etc. And so 讻讬 转驻谞讛 诪注砖讬讱, 诪注砖讛 诪诇讗讻讛, you have to work. 讜讙诐 讜讙诐 讗专抓 讬砖专讗诇'住 讛砖讙讞讛, in a 讙讬诇讜讬讚讬拽谉, as we know, we said before, in Eretz Yisrael, the 讛砖讙讞讛 驻专讟讬转 is is 讘讙讬诇讜讬, 讜讜讗住 讘讗讜讜讬讬讝讟 讗讝 讗讬谉 讚注专 讘讗诪转, 讗讬谉 讚注专 讘讗诪转, 讙讬讟 诪注谉 驻专谞住讛 诪诇诪注诇讛, which they even saw that everything really comes from 诇诪注诇讛, is aber 讚讗住 讙讜驻讗 what's 驻专谞住讛 诪谉, and that's not on the way of 讚专讱 讛讟讘注. A keli for the berachah, because they had to do something 讘讙砖诪讬讜转 to make a keli for the berachah, can't nobody get my order to mean that I need sustenance and that this is mock it. That might make you think that when you work it, something also. In shaft is in shaft a parnasah, he's getting a 驻专谞住讛, 诪诪讬诇讗 讻讚讗讬 诇讘讛诇讛, and this gets stopped with the 讘讛诇讛 because In other words, avodah is 讘讙讬诇讜讬, but it's possible not to feel it. Even though they did the mitzvah of 讘讬讻讜专讬诐, let's Good, so the Eibershter gave him tools how to bring it out, but it's full 讘讞讬专讛 讞驻砖讬转, you don't have to bring it out.

Dovid's Gift: Feeling Hashgacha Pratis While Working the Land

This is what David did. Was 注专 讙注讙注讘谉 讚注诐 讻讞 讗讝 讗讜讬讱 讗讬谉 讗专抓 谞讜砖讘转, 讚讜讚 who was in Eretz Yisrael gave the koach that even when Yidden live in such a land, settled land, so a Yid can aaroysbrengen the the giluy as it is 诪诇讞诪转 讻谞注谉. A Yid should be able to have the giluy the fact of is 诪诇讞诪转 讻谞注谉. So it's all coming from melech, that he gives the koach to 诪诇讞诪转 讻谞注谉. This means a sort of A person should feel the parnassah comes completely from Hashem. U'meileh is this be'emes say b'harchavah. U'meileh if it comes from Hashem, you'll realize that it's b'harchavah. And then it says, he is 讘砖讜专砖讜 讘驻谞讬诪讬讜转讜 an 注谞讬谉 谞讬住讬, and you realize that be'emes it's a 谞住, 讜讜讗住 讗讬讝 谞讬砖讟 讙注讘讜谞讚谉 诪讬讟 讚专讻讬 讛讟讘注, nothing connected to teva. What what's b'harchavah? Ah? You mean whatever you get is b'harchavah? Yeah. What if a guy gets a little bit? So, but if you know everything comes 驻讜谉 讚注专 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专, this is the biggest harchavah that you that you need. Gashmiyus is not, b'giluy it's not. But if you're on the madreigah that gashmiyus is not the ikar, the ikar is ruchniyus, so that doesn't matter. You know there's somebody that wrote a letter to the Rebbe. He says he lives in a mission. There's no parnassah. So the Rebbe answered that you are telling me you are in a mission and you're complaining? In fact, it is a joke. No. It was like somebody said by Jews. He says, not that you get a lot of gashmiyus, but you understand what are you yelling? It's like, I am missing something. I'm a missionary. So, you're osek in Torah is normally as a person, but why doesn't he have to work? He realizes that because that's what the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专 wants. The 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专 wants us to work. 诪诪讬诇讗, 注住 驻讗专砖讟讗谞讚讬拽 讗讝 讜讜注谉 诪注谉 讛讗谞讚诇讟 讝讬讱 讜讜注讙谉 注谞讬谉 驻讜谉 转讜专讛 讜诪爪讜讜转, so a person like that, so anytime it comes to Torah u'mitzvot, He's gonna be mekayem all became bilbulim. You are know, you have no bilbulim. Nothing stops you. You act like a melech, you're like a melech. Because if you realize this, you're like a melech. So the first thing, the level through Moshe Rabbeinu, the tact, tact, he was a melech, tact and no bilbulim. Here at the level, you come to a level where there's a possibility of bilbulim. Because already you have to work, and you might forget, so David HaMelech gave the koach that you should be a melech. 砖讗诇转, I can give a 讞砖讱 讛讙诇讜转, and now when it came to 讙诇讜转, 讜讘驻专讟 in the time when the 讞砖讱 讛讙诇讜转 grew deeper and deeper, especially when the galut got worse and worse, deeper and darker, 诪爪讗转 爪注拽讛, 讛注讬拽专 讗讬讝, 诪注谉 讚讗专祝 谞讬讟 谞讗专 讙讗专 注砖讬讬转 诪诇讗讻讛 住转诐, 谞讗专 注诐 讟专讚讜转 讛驻专谞住讛, and now here came the time that not only you work, in Eretz Yisrael, they also worked that time. They had no 讟讬专讚讜转, no bother. They did their job. It comes to galut when you need the 爪专讜转, and to make a parnasah, you have to work very hard, and you, no, you hold you, you fold it, you get annoyed and you get confused, you get distracted, so the work of a Jew is becoming higher and higher. Now, in order to feel like a melech, which means beyond teva, you need an absolute koach. A Jew can mean it. A person can think like this, as in our own time, in this in our own days of life, we have to stay up here in Torah u'mitzvot. A time when there's so many hardships to do Torah u'mitzvot. It's time that a person should be So, it's enough. I'll do everything simple of Torah u'mitzvot, as much as I need, and says that this is verbunden with a heavy milchamah. Even that you have to fight for, and you have to work hard to overcome all these hardships. So, the galut requires, you should learn more, and then you do higher and greater things with that. He's even in the time of hardships, he'll go beyond the view. He'll, you know, restrain himself. He can never and as a man, I'll give up in this way, in this manner of likeness again. I'll learn Torah, I'll do mitzvot. I'll do more than I could. But I should behave like a melech, which means like the whole existence, as if there is no help. How can you do that? It's living in galut in certain places, like in Russia and other places.

The Baal Shem Tov's Gift: Being a Melech Even in the Darkness of Galus

So, the Baal Shem Tov, and comes the third one, as even in the deepness and darkness of galut, even the depth of galut, can elevation can elevate, pick yourself up beyond your surroundings, and to feel like you're from the 诪诇讻讬诐 讻讛谞讬诐, and when the 讗讜讬讘注专砖讟注专 alone 讘讗砖讙讞讛 驻专讟讬转, 讘转讻诇讬转 you feel like it's a 谞住讬注讛, you can feel like you're alone, but this every day, in every detail, you could feel it. Und die 讛砖驻注讛, to bring this idea of 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐 in this time of galut, this 讛砖驻注讛 that the Baal Shem Tov gave, that even in galus, with all the real hardships, you could still be like a 诪诇讱, is noch a larger chidush and a higher in 注谞讬谉 of malchus, we've defeated it so that's why it's even a bigger chidush in this level of malchus than the preceding, previous four. That's why he is higher than the world and 讟讘注, and he's not 诪讚讘专. Therefore, you can be higher than whatever in the 诪讚讘专, when you're separate from the world, and even in the world, in the earth, you should know that even like in 诪讚讘专, in Eretz Yisrael, this showed how the 讘诇讬 讙讘讜诇, the 讻讞 讛诪诇讻讜转, was there in Jews, because it didn't show how the 讻讞 讛诪诇讻讜转, which means the 讻讞 of being higher than 讟讘注, by a Jew, is 讘诇讬 讙讘讜诇. For then, what is the lechatchila, the way to give off other nations, when you're not so much lechatchila other nations, so it's possible. But in galus, you have to behave like that, but based on this, we're going higher, and give the 诇砖讜谉 讛讬讚讜注, lechatchila ariber. Here it shows that real lechatchila ariber. Deep in the 住讚专 of things, not with the normal 住讚专, but with absolute higher than any limits. So the deepness and the 讞砖讱 讛讙诇讜转 to the heights, the highest thing of 诪诪诇讻转 讻讛谞讬诐. He's speaking also regarding doing mitzvot? Yeah. In doing mitzvot, in a way as if the whole world, 讙砖诪讬讜转, yeah, I didn't say, yeah, yeah, yeah, but 转讜专讛 讜诪爪讜讜转 you feel as if you have no the 讙砖诪讬讜转, okay, like a 诪诇讱, and you do it like you feel, like it said by Shabbat. You have to feel on 砖讘转 讻讗讬诇讜 讻诇 诪诇讗讻转讱 注砖讜讬讛, so you have to be restful. You could have the greatest problems in your business, Shabbat, as if everything is fine, and no more problems, and no more issue. I feel Baal Shem Tov, it's like that. Can't do anything about it anyway, so might as well calm. Well, that's everything, you have to feel that way, and the Oibershter will help. here, Shabbat. Same thing here. And mimela you have 讙砖诪讬讜转. Doesn't mean you takeh have, but 讙砖诪讬讜转 is as if you have it. You're like a 诪诇讱 who couldn't care, everything isn't 谞讜讙注 to you. All these three whatever they do is forever, 驻讗专 讗诇注 讬讬讚谉 讗讬谉 讗诇注 讚讜专讜转, all generations. He's our Rabbi. In this generation he's our Rabbi. Even now he's living. So the Baal Shem Tov is also 谞讜讙注 forever because it's 谞讜讙注 to the 注谞讬谉 of Mashiach. So in every generation you have three categories of Jews which fit to these three. Every person has three sections in his life which fit to these three. And he says like this:

Torah is the 讙讬诇讜讬 of the Eibershter's 讞讻诪讛. When you learn Torah, what is it? You're not 诪诇诪讟讛 诇诪注诇讛, you're taking the chokhmah of the 讗讬讬讘注专砖讟注专 bringing down, 爪讜 诪讙诇讛 讝讬讬谉 讚讬 讞讻诪讛 爪讚拽转讜 讬转讘专讱 诪诇诪注诇讛 诇诪讟讛, to bring it down. The talmid chacham through Torah could control the 讟讘注. Yerushalmi, that this shows that Torah is a 讘注诇 讛讘讬转 over the world. Where do you see that? With a 诪注砖讛 with... Chazon Ish, it says that a girl that's under three, so something happens to her, her 讘转讜诇讬诐, she still remains a 讘转讜诇讛. Because even though it broke the 讘转讜诇讬诐, but it comes back. If it's after three, it doesn't come back. So the Gemara said, what happens if it was 讞讜讚砖 讗讚专 and her birthday was 讗讚专, she became three, then she had 讘讬讗讛? So, 住'诇讜讬讟谉 Chazon Ish, came the 讘讬转 讚讬谉 and decided to make a 注讬讘讜专 讬讗专. That makes that there should be the 注爪诐 注谞讬谉 of of Yidden being higher than the world, and that's through Torah. And where is that mainly felt? The 注住讜拽讬诐 讘转讜专讛, these are the people who sit and learn Torah all day, 讜讜讗住 讝讬讬谞注谉 讗讜讬住讙注讟讗谉 驻讜谉 讜讜注诇讟, 转讜专转讜 讗讜诪谞讜转讜, and they're connect disconnect from the world, they learn Torah only. There are certain times when a Yid learns Torah, so that time he is like A Yid has a koach at least, temporary, at that moment to undress himself 讗讬谉 讙讗谞爪谉 from 讜讜注诇讟诇讬讻注 讝讗讻谉 讗讜谉 讚讗讙讜转, from the worldly things and the worries, 爪讜 讝讬讬谉 讗讝讜讬 爪讜讙注讟专讗讙谉 爪讜诐 诇注专谞注谉 驻讜谞拽讟 讜讜讬 讚注专 讜讜讗住 讗讬讝 转讜专转讜 讗讜诪谞讜转讜. That moment at least, you could be involved in learning like a guy whose main occupation is with it, cuz at that moment, that's your main occupation. So David so Moshe Rabbeinu gave the koach, the 注谞讬谉 of Torah, so it's in every person at the time when he learns or 讘讻诇诇 those people who sit and learn. David, his 注谞讬谉 is tefillah. People don't... That's what you're saying? Not only because the 诇砖讜谉 of tefillah... He's just using Tehillim as a thing that David HaMelech's inyan is tefillah. But David HaMelech gave a koach that in the level when we are shaychus to 讜讜注诇讟, 讜诪诪讬诇讗 the Elokus is not that strong, even there should be 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转. And if it's 讙讬诇讜讬 讗诇拽讜转, then you're answered right away. Through any tefillah. Through any tefillah, especially probably through Tehillim. That's why we take to say Tehillim when there's a True, because Tehillim has a special segulah, that's that's, but that's not the point he's making here. I was already told somebody the three things of Shavuos is Moshe, Dovid, Baal Shem Tov. They have no... But by us, Baal Shem Tov is in the category of Dovid and Moshe. But the 讜讜注诇讟, that's something Baal Shem Tov, you know, lived 200 years ago. So, you're saying as if someone would say, you know, it's a chibur between Moshe, Dovid, or Rav Moshe Feinstein. No, to them, it's talking about a 讙讚讜诇 讘讬砖专讗诇, it's like a... But by us, we know the Baal Shem Tov is in the same category. Yeah, Moshe, Dovid, Baal Shem Tov. Listen, when he's from you know, typically, but in his mind, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's, that's his view of a tzadik, you know, Baal Shem Tov, so first he compares him to, like, that's himself also, yeah? They don't have before understanding a higher level than the local rabbi. So Baal Shem Tov had an higher, in his mind, maybe like Dovid and Moshe. Yeah. I had a madregah to bring it down like this. You know, they'll never defend this. You notice, you notice I never found nobody sit in in shul, no never. It was good to say. It's not for everywhere, I can't... Because if any person there would, somebody's father would, wouldn't appreciate it. Why do you take the...? How dare you bring in Baal Shem Tov into this? Yeah, but they don't know Moshe, Dovid, Baal Shem Tov. But to us, it's a nachat ruach.
