ืžื—ื–ื” vs ื•ื™ืจื: Levels of Spiritual Sight

Before, it says ื‘ืžื—ื–ื” and here it says ื•ื™ืจื. So the Zohar says that ื‘ืžื—ื–ื” is a lower level of seeing. The word ืžื—ื–ื”, in truth, is not a Hebrew word. In Aramaic, in Gemara, we always find the word ื—ื–ื™ื•ืŸ. We find it in Tanach also, but it's not actually the real Hebrew word for seeing. ืจืื™ื” is in Hebrew. The reason the pasuk uses ื‘ืžื—ื–ื”, because if it's in a different language, it shows that it's a lower level. So the seeing that Avraham saw in last week's parsha was a lower level than the seeing he saw in this week's parsha. What took place in between? The brit milah, that's what the Zohar says. So before the brit milah, Avraham Avinu was not able really to see Godliness in the right way. He was not able to see it ื‘ืืกืคืงืœืจื™ื ื”ืžืื™ืจื”, it says, in a shining type of sight. But after brit milah, then ื•ื™ืจื, then he was able to see already because he got closer to Hashem. So the brit milah, which was the taking off of the physical foreskin, which represented taking off of the spiritual foreskin, brought about that there was no more block, no more concealment, no more skin that blocks, and he was able to see Hashem truthfully. Now,

Temple Era vs Exile: Different Sight Levels

similar to these two levels would be the difference between time of the Beis Hamikdash and time of galus. In time of Beis Hamikdash, people, when they looked at Godliness, they saw it in the form of ืจืื™ื”, they saw it. In time of galus, as much as there are people who see, and you feel, and you understand, it's only ื‘ืžื—ื–ื”. It's a lower because there is this foreskin. Mashiach will come, it says, ื•ืžืœ ื”ืฉื ืืœืงื™ืš ืืช ืœื‘ื‘ืš, Hashem will circumcise that foreskin, but now we still have it, so ื‘ืžื—ื–ื”. So the level of sight we see Godliness is lower. That's why here the pasuk uses ื—ื–ื™ืชื™ืš, and even though it's a form of ื—ื–ื™ืชื™ืš, it's not ืจืื™ืชื™ืš. It's not ืจืื™ื”, it's a lower level of seeing Godliness. But on the other hand, in truth, there is a greater level of Godliness that comes down to this world in a time of galus. Why? We said before, because since it brings out within us this thirst, therefore there is a stronger level of light that this brings down. We don't see it, but when Mashiach will come, we will see it. So it's like it's put away someplace, the light comes down, put away someplace, locked up for us, and as soon as Mashiach comes, all this light will come out, but it all is from this the feeling that we had in ื–ืžืŸ ื”ื’ืœื•ืช. So here we all see how we

Valuing the Exile and Its Spiritual Benefits

have to appreciate the time of galus, not that we have to accept it, not that we have to be happy with it, but while we have it, we have to appreciate it, because only in a time of galus we're able to have this. Mashiach will come, it will all be over, we will see Godliness, so we won't have this great desire that we're able to have now. We'll have it in a different way, but not the way we have it now. So we have to remember that the Frierdiker Rebbe said that when Mashiach will come, we'll pull the hair out of our head looking back, why didn't we take advantage of the galus? Which is similar, and it doesn't mean that we should want, it's like he said, I mentioned it once before, the Frierdiker Rebbe said they once asked him, he once was speaking about the high level that he reached through being in jail. He was in jail, sentenced to death, which is a galut in a galut in a galut in a galut, and he said through that, it brought out within him greater levels. So someone asked him, \"Would you like to go back?\" So he said like this: \"For a million dollars, I wouldn't go back for one minute to jail. But for a million dollars, I wouldn't sell one minute that I was in jail.\" And it's both true. So I'm saying we have to say we want Mashiach now, we don't want this galut, but at the same time, when we're in it, we have to realize that there is so much that we can accomplish, that when Mashiach will come, whatever we did, that's it, and later is going to be too late. So now we do it. Like this inyan of ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ื”ืฉื›ื™ื ื”, but here this world, they have the ืขืฆื, connect with ืขืฆื ื”ืฉื, it's exactly like this. The exact same thing we'll have, yeah. It's kivayachol with Hakadosh Baruch Hu. It's better to be in this world. Yeah, but at the same time, we want that what we accomplish in this world, we should see it already. Like this, we know we have ืขืฆื, but we don't see it. We want to see it. So what we do now, we will see then. So that's why we want Mashiach to reveal, but the later he comes, the more we're able to do. We tell Hashem, enough, we did enough, we don't want to wait at all, and we hope he'll come soon. Understanding and seeing, and we will have this feeling to Hashem. Now the problem is, even if we understand, but it doesn't affect our emotions. There is

Brainโ€‘Heart Gap: The ืžืฆืจ ื”ื’ืจื•ืŸ Issue

what we call The nature is like this, it's interesting. The way Hashem created a person: you have a head, then we have the body, but in the middle there's a neck. The neck is very narrow. So we We have the brain, we have the heart, and it's supposed to come from the brain to the heart, what you understand, whatever you understand, and if you understand properly, it should affect the heart. But till it gets there, it gets narrowed out. This is called this the ืžื™ืฆืจ ื”ื’ืจื•ืŸ. ื”ื’ืจื•ืŸ, is a neck, ืžื™ืฆืจ, it's very narrow. Might have a great understanding, we have big brain, by the time it comes to the heart, it gets narrowed out. That's the nature. What we have to do is connect it. Has to be ืžื•ื— ืฉืœื™ื˜ ืขืœ ื”ืœื‘, the brain has to control the heart. But unfortunately, in most cases it's not like that. That's why it says that, it says that till Mashiach will come, there is this main klipah, the main evil force is Amalek. Amalek. It says ืจืืฉื™ืช ื’ื•ื™ื ืขืžืœืง, ืขืžืœืง is the first the worst. ื•ืื—ืจื™ืชื• ืขื“ื™ ืื•ื‘ื“. Hashem says that Amalek, he's the worst guy, and with him we have to fight. And till Mashiach will come, we always have a fight with Amalek.

Remembering Amalek: The Ongoing Spiritual Battle

That's why there is such a thing as ื–ื›ื•ืจ. We have to remember Amalek, it's a mitzvah to always remember Amalek. Because we always have to fight with him. Almost Purim now, there is ืคืจืฉืช ื–ื›ื•ืจ, we have to remember Amalek. What does Amalek represents for? Represent, what does he stand for? ืืฉืจ ืงืจืš ื‘ื“ืจืš. Amalek's job is to make us cold. That the excitement we're supposed to have in our feelings, Amalek makes us cold. That means that Amalek's job, which is really our ื™ืฆืจ ื”ืจืข, is to cut between the brain and the heart. That's why the word Amalek comes from the word ื•ืžืœืง. There's a pasuk by the korbanot, when it speaks about the birds, it says ื•ืžืœืง ืืช ืจืืฉื•. You have to separate with the nail, the kohen have to separate the head from the body. ื•ืžืœืง, ืขืžืœืง comes from the word ืžืœืง, to separate. He separates. That's what the Gemara says, ืื™ืŸ ื”ืฉื ืฉืœื, ื”ืฉื says My Name is not complete, ื•ืื™ืŸ ื”ื›ืกื ืฉืœื, My chair is not complete, ืขื“ ืฉื™ืžื—ื” ื–ืจืขื• ืฉืœ ืขืžืœืง, the children of Amalek will be erased. Why isn't Hashem's Name complete? It's exactly what it means. If Hashem's Name would be complete, if ืฉื ื”ื•ื™ื” would be complete, then what would we have? We'd have this revelation in our brain and in our heart. Revelation of Hashem. But because of Amalek, this is this klipah of Amalek that exists now, we don't have it. So we are now

Incomplete Divine Name and the Prenatal Analogy

similar to a child during pregnancy. Everything is there. We have, we understand a little bit, we have the brain, and we have the eyes, even spiritually, but as the pasuk says, ืขื™ื ื™ื ืœื”ื ื•ืœื ื™ืจืื•, we have eyes but we don't see, ืื–ื ื™ื ืœื”ื ื•ืœื ื™ืฉืžืขื•, they have ears and they can't hear. Talks about ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื”, talks about the idols, but that's with us also. We have all this, but we don't see Godliness. When Mashiach will come, we will be born. Born means the brain will start working, we'll start understanding the truth. We'll start seeing the truth, we'll start feeling the truth, and we'll feel Hashem. And it says ื•ื ื’ืœื” ื›ื‘ื•ื“ ื”ืฉื, the revelation of Hashem, kavod of Hashem will be there. ื•ืจืื• ื›ืœ ื‘ืฉืจ. All flesh will see, not only all eyes will see, all flesh. We will actually feel Hashem. Not only we will believe in Hashem, but we will actually see Hashem. What does it mean see? It'll be so clear, and so true in our mind, like we see something with our physical eyes. Now when we see something, we know it's there, but when we understand something, we're not so sure. But when we see it, many questions a person might ask you, you'll say, \"Well, I saw it myself.\" That's how it's going to be then. We will know it, which is the By doing that, we will have fulfilled the first mitzvah. The Rambam says that the first mitzvah is ืœื™ื“ืข ืฉื™ืฉ ืฉื ืžืฆื•ื™ ืจืืฉื•ืŸ, to know that there is a First Being. Knowing, is as the world says seeing is believing. Really seeing, that's what's going to happen when Mashiach will come. So the problem we have now is that we have no ื’ื™ืœื•ื™ ืืœืงื•ืช, there is no revelation. We are covered up, we are inside the womb that we can't see and hear or feel. Mashiach will come, we will be born, and we will have this ื’ื™ืœื•ื™, the revelation of Hashem.
