And the 讙诪专讗 here quotes from the 诪砖谞讛 where it says 讻砖讛讜讗 诪谞讞诐, which refers to the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, and the 诪砖谞讛 says that when the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 is 诪谞讞诐 an 讗讘诇, he comforts an 讗讘诇, so then the 讚专讱 讻诇 讛注诐 注讜讘专讬谉 讝讛 讗讞专 讝讛. All the people would pass, the 讗讘诇 would stand, and all the people who would be 诪谞讞诐 the 讗讘诇 after the funeral would pass the 讗讘诇. And by the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, the 诪诪讜谞讛 would be 诪诪爪注讜 讘讬谞讜 讜讘讬谉 讛注诐, that means the 诪诪讜谞讛 would stand on his right side, and all the people would be on his left side, and the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 would be in the middle. The 住讙谉, which means the assistant 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, and 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 means a 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 that passed, that means that whenever the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 was 讟诪讗, and there had to be an 注讘讜讚讛 done by the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, and since the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 couldn't do it, they would appoint another person as a temporary 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇. And when the first 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 became 讟讛讜专, he would resume his position, but the other one that at one point was as a 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 was considered a 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专. So when the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 would be 诪谞讞诐 others, so the 住讙谉 and this 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 would be 讘讬诪讬谞讜, on his right side, 讜专讗砖 讘讬转 讗讘 讜讗讘诇讬诐 讜讻诇 讛注诐 诪砖诪讗诇讜, and the head of the 讘讬转 讗讘, because we know that the 讻讛谞讬诐 were divided in different 诪砖诪专讜转, and each 诪砖诪专 was divided in different 讘转讬 讗讘, in different like groups, families, and each family had the head of the family, and he was called the 专讗砖 讘讬转 讗讘. So the 专讗砖 讘讬转 讗讘 and the 讗讘诇讬诐 and all the people would stand on his left side. 讜讻砖讛讜讗 注讜诪讚 讘砖讜专讛 讜诪转谞讞诐 诪讗讞专讬诐, but when he, the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, would stand in line and he would be comforted by others, when he was an 讗讘诇, 住讙谉 诪讬诪讬谞讜, the 住讙谉 would stand on his right side, 讜专讗砖 讘讬转 讗讘 讜讻诇 讛注诐 诪砖诪讗诇讜, and the 专讗砖 讘讬转 讗讘 and all the people would stand on his left side. 讗讘诇 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 诇讗 讗转讗 讙讘讬讛, but the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 would not come to him. 诪讗讬 讟注诪讗, what is the reason? 住讘专, he would think, 拽讗 讞讚讬 讘讬, that he is happy with me. Since the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 was also in the position of a 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇, so the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 might think that the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 is happy that I am an 讗讘诇, because he is jealous of me, because he also is to a certain degree a 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇. So therefore the 讚讬谉 was that the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 should not be there when they comfort the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇.
砖诪注 诪讬谞讛, one thing we see, 讛讬讬谞讜 住讙谉 讛讬讬谞讜 诪诪讜谞讛, that when we say there is a 住讙谉 to the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 and there is a 诪诪讜谞讛, that is the same person. Because in our 诪砖谞讛 it said that the 诪诪讜谞讛 was 诪诪爪注讜, the 诪诪讜谞讛 was on his right side, and in this 讘专讬讬转讗 it says that the 住讙谉 was on his right side. So that shows us that the 住讙谉 and 诪诪讜谞讛 is the same thing, just sometimes we call him 住讙谉, and sometimes we call him 诪诪讜谞讛. 讜砖诪注 诪讬谞讛, we also see from the 讘专讬讬转讗, 讗讘诇讬诐 注讜诪讚讬诐 讜讻诇 讛注诐 注讜讘专讬谉, that 讗讘诇讬诐 stand and all the people pass, because that's what it says in the 讘专讬讬转讗 that he would pass by. And 砖诪注 诪讬谞讛, we also see from the 讘专讬讬转讗, 讗讘诇讬诐 诇砖诪讗诇 讛诪谞讞诪讬谉 讛诐 注讜诪讚讬诐, that 讗讘诇讬诐 have to stand on the left side of those that comfort them. The only thing as one could ask here is that when the 讙诪专讗 wants to prove that the 诪诪讜谞讛 and the 住讙谉 are the same thing, because in the 诪砖谞讛 it says that the 诪诪讜谞讛 is on the right side, and here it says that the 住讙谉 is on the right side, but really in the 讘专讬讬转讗 it says two things: the 住讙谉 and the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 on his right side. So how do we know that the 诪诪讜谞讛 and the 住讙谉 are the same thing? Maybe the 诪诪讜谞讛 and the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 are the same thing? And 转讜住驻讜转 says that that is for sure that the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 cannot be called 诪诪讜谞讛. 诪诪讜谞讛 means like an appointed one to take care of the different things in the 讘讬转 讛诪拽讚砖. Now, definitely the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 would not be considered a 诪诪讜谞讛. And then 转讜住驻讜转 brings from 专讘讬 讬注拽讘 讘谉 专讘讬 爪讚讜拽 that the 专讗讬讛 is not from that, the 专讗讬讛 is from the second part of the 诪砖谞讛. In the 诪砖谞讛 it continues that when he is 诪转谞讞诐 诪讗讞专讬诐, when he is comforted by others, what goes on? And it's 诪砖诪注 from the 诪砖谞讛 that that when it says that the 诪诪讜谞讛 was on his right side, the 诪诪讜谞讛 诪诪爪注讜, refers also to the time when the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 received comfort from others. Now in the 讘专讬讬转讗 it says that when the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 was comforted by others, the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专 wasn't there at all. So therefore we cannot say that the 诪诪讜谞讛 is the 诪砖讜讞 砖注讘专, and therefore we must say that the 诪诪讜谞讛 is the 住讙谉. And the 讙诪专讗 continues, 转谞讜 专讘谞谉, the 专讘谞谉 learned, 讘专讗砖讜谞讛, in the beginning, 讛讬讜 讗讘诇讬诐 注讜诪讚讬诐, the 讗讘诇讬诐 used to stand, 讜讻诇 讛注诐 注讜讘专讬谉, and all the people used to pass.
讜讛讬讜 砖转讬 诪砖驻讞讜转 讘讬专讜砖诇讬诐 诪转讙专讜转 讝讜 讘讝讜, but there were two families in 讬专讜砖诇讬诐 that were arguing with each other. I want to go by first. 讜讝讜 讗讜诪专转, and this one would say, 讗谞讬 注讜讘专转 转讞诇讛, I want to go by first. So since there was an argument which people should go first, 讛转拽讬谞讜, so they were 诪转拽谉, 砖讬讛讬讜 讛注诐 注讜诪讚讬诐 讜讗讘诇讬诐 注讜讘专讬诐, that the people should stand and the 讗讘诇讬诐 should pass, as we do it. So then there is no 诪讞诇讜拽转 who goes first. Right? There are a few 讛诇讻讜转 that the 讙诪专讗 is going to say now, and to remember which the 讛诇讻讜转 are, so the 讙诪专讗 picks the first words of these 讛诇讻讜转. So one 讛诇讻讛 would be concerning 讞讝专, one concerning 讛诇讱, and one concerning 住驻专. And that will be the 住讬诪谉 to remember the 讛诇讻讜转. And the 讙诪专讗 says: 讗诪专 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛, 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛 said: 讛讞讝讬专 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讗转 讛讚讘专 诇讬讜砖谞讜 讘爪讬驻讜专讬, and in 爪讬驻讜专讬, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 made the thing go back to the way it was: 砖讬讛讬讜 讗讘诇讬诐 注讜诪讚讬诐 讜讻诇 讛注诐 注讜讘专讬诐, that the 讗讘诇讬诐 should stand and all the people should pass, because that was the original 讚讬谉. But later, because of the 诪讞诇讜拽转 between the families, they changed it, so in 爪讬驻讜专讬, he changed it back, that the 讗讘诇讬诐 should stand and the people should pass.
讜讗诪专 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛, also did 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛 say: 讛转拽讬谉 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讘爪讬驻讜专讬, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 was 诪转拽谉 in 爪讬驻讜专讬, 砖诇讗 转讛讗 讗砖讛 诪讛诇讻转 讘砖讜拽 讜讘谞讛 讗讞专讬讛, a woman should not go in the street and her son should go behind her, but her son should go in front of her. And the reason for that 转拽谞讛 was 诪砖讜诐 诪注砖讛 砖讛讬讛, because of a 诪注砖讛 that happened. And as 专砖状讬 explains, the 诪注砖讛 was that once a woman went and her child was behind her, so she didn't see, and somebody kidnapped her child. And when she went to look for her child, someone said to her, "Come in this house and I will show you where your child is." So she went into the house, and then when she went into the house, they tried to force her to do an 注讘讬专讛. So that's why he made a 转拽谞讛 that she should never walk with the child behind her, but the child should always be in front of her, so she'll be able to see if anybody will 讞住 讜砖诇讜诐 want to kidnap her child. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues: 讜讗诪专 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛, also did 专讘讛 讘专 讘专 讞谞讛 say: 讛转拽讬谉 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讘爪讬驻讜专讬, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 made a 转拽谞讛 in 爪讬驻讜专讬, 砖讬讛讬讜 谞砖讬诐 诪住驻专讜转 讘讘讬转 讛讻住讗, that the women should talk to each other in the 讘讬转 讛讻住讗, in the bathroom, 诪砖讜诐 讬讞讜讚, because of 讬讞讜讚. And this refers to the bathrooms the way they used to have it in those days, that it was in the field outside of the city, and that's where everyone had to go. And we're afraid that maybe while a woman is in the bathroom, a man might just walk in, and then it would be a 砖讗诇讛 of 讬讞讜讚, because you're not allowed to have a man and a woman separately, privately, in a room. So therefore, the 转拽谞讛 was that when there are two women in the bathroom, they should talk to each other, so if any man will want to enter, he will hear them talking and he will know not to enter.
讗诪专 专讘 诪谞砖讬讗 讘专 注讘讬讗, 专讘 诪谞砖讬讗 讘专 注讘讬讗 said: 砖讗讬诇讬转讬 讗转 专讘 讬讗砖讬讛 专讘讛 讘讘讬转 注诇诪讬谉 讚讛讜爪诇, I asked 专讘 讬讗砖讬讛 专讘讛 in the cemetery of 讛讜爪诇, 讜讗诪专 诇讬, and he told me: 讗讬谉 砖讜专讛 驻讞讜转讛 诪注砖专讛 讘谞讬 讗讚诐, that a 砖讜专讛, a line that we said before concerning the 讗讘诇讬诐 when you are 诪谞讞诐 the 讗讘诇, has to be at least of ten people, 讜讗讬谉 讗讘诇讬诐 诪谉 讛诪谞讬谉, and the 讗讘诇讬诐 themselves are not part of this count. In other words, you must have ten without, excluding the 讗讘诇讬诐. 讘讬谉 砖讗讘诇讬诐 注讜诪讚讬诐 讜讻诇 讛注诐 注讜讘专讬诐, this doesn't make a difference whether the case is that the 讗讘诇讬诐 stand and all the people pass, 讘讬谉 砖讗讘诇讬诐 注讜讘专讬诐 讜讻诇 讛注诐 注讜诪讚讬诐, or the 讗讘诇讬诐 pass and all the people stand, whichever case, whichever the 诪谞讛讙 is, but when you make this 砖讜专讛, you must have at least ten people. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It said in the 诪砖谞讛: 讜讻砖讛讜讗 诪转谞讞诐, when the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 is comforted, so then everyone says to him, 讗谞讜 讻驻专转讱, and he would say to them, 转转讘专讻讜 诪谉 讛砖诪讬诐. That's what the 诪砖谞讛 said.
讗讬讘注讬讗 诇讛讜, there was a question asked: 讻讬 诪谞讞诐 讛讜讗 诇讗讞专讬谞讬, when he comforts others, 讛讬讻讬 讗诪专 诇讛讜, what does he say to them? Because the 诪砖谞讛 didn't say what he says. The 诪砖谞讛 just said what he does, how he goes. But the 诪砖谞讛 didn't say what the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 says when he is 诪谞讞诐 others. And the 讙诪专讗 says: 转讗 砖诪注, come here, I will answer you. We learned in a 讘专讬讬转讗: 讜讛讜讗 讗讜诪专, and the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 says, 转转谞讞诪讜, you should be comforted. Now 讛讬讻讬 讚诪讬, what does this mean? Concerning which case does the 讘专讬讬转讗 mean that the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 says that? 讗讬诇讬诪讗, if you will say, 讻讬 诪谞讞诪讬 诇讗讞专讬谞讬 诇讚讬讚讬讛, that when others comfort him, 讗诪专 诇讛讜 讗讬讛讜, so he says to them, 转转谞讞诪讜, you should be comforted, 谞讞讜砖讬 拽讗 诪专诪讬 诇讛讜? He's giving them a 谞讬讞讜砖? In other words, he's telling them a bad 住讬诪谉, as if he's saying to them, "You should also be comforted, that you should also become 讗讘诇讬诐 and you should also need to be comforted"? That can't be. We can't assume that the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 answers them when they are 诪谞讞诐 him that they should be comforted. 讗诇讗, therefore we must say, that what does the 讘专讬讬转讗 mean that the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 says 转转谞讞诪讜? 讻讬 诪谞讞诐 诇讗讞专讬谞讬, 讗诪专 诇讛讜 转转谞讞诪讜, that when he is 诪谞讞诐 others, that's when he says to them, 转转谞讞诪讜. 砖诪注 诪讬谞讛, so that proves that question we asked before, what does the 讻讛谉 讙讚讜诇 say to others, so here we see he says to them 转转谞讞诪讜. Then the 诪砖谞讛 continued: 诪诇讱 诇讗 讚谉 讜讻讜壮, a king cannot judge and cannot be judged. 讗诪专 专讘 讬讜住祝, so 专讘 讬讜住祝 says, 诇讗 砖谞讜, this was not learned, 讗诇讗 诪诇讻讬 讬砖专讗诇, only the 诪诇讻讬诐 from 讬砖专讗诇, 讗讘诇 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚, but the kings of the house of 讚讜讚 讚谉 讜讚谞讬谉 讗讜转谉, could judge and they could be judged, 讚讻转讬讘, as the 驻住讜拽 says, 讘讬转 讚讜讚, house of 讚讜讚, 讻讛 讗诪专 讛砖诐, this is what 讛砖诐 said, 讚讬谞讜 诇讘拽专 诪砖驻讟, you should judge 诪砖驻讟 in the morning. So we see that 讛砖诐 asked the 讘讬转 of 讚讜讚 to judge, that? So we see that a 诪诇讱 of 讘讬转 讚讜讚 could judge. Now,
How could he judge others? 讜讗诪专 专讬砖 诇拽讬砖, and 专讬砖 诇拽讬砖 said that what does this 驻住讜拽 mean? First you make yourself beautiful, then you make others beautiful. In other words, you can't do something to others if it cannot ever be done to you. First you have it done to you, then you do it to others. So therefore, if we say that he can judge, obviously he could be judged also. So we see 讘驻讬专讜砖 that a 诪诇讱 of 讘讬转 讚讜讚 could judge and could be judged. So therefore, when it says in the 诪砖谞讛 that a 诪诇讱 cannot judge and not be judged, that refers to a 诪诇讱 of 诪诇讻讬 讬砖专讗诇. What is the reason why a king of 诪诇讻讬 讬砖专讗诇 cannot be judged and cannot judge? The 讙诪专讗 says, 诪砖讜诐 诪注砖讛 砖讛讬讛, because of a story that happened. 讚注讘讚讗 讚讬谞讗讬 诪诇讻讗, because a slave of the king 讬谞讗讬, 拽讟诇 谞驻砖讗, killed a person. 讗诪专 诇讛讜 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 诇讞讻诪讬诐, so 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 said to the 讞讻诪讬诐, 转谞讜 注讬谞讬讻诐 讘讜, put your eyes to him, 讜谞讚讜谞讜, and judge him. 砖诇讞讜 诇讬讛, so they sent a message to the king, 注讘讚讱 拽讟诇 谞驻砖讗, that your slave killed a person. 砖讚专讬讛 诇讛讜, so he sent the slave to them to stand trial. 砖诇讞讜 诇讬讛, so they sent a message to him, to the king, 转讗 讗谞转 谞诪讬 诇讛讻讗, you also come here. 讜讛讜注讚 讘讘注诇讬讜 讗诪专讛 转讜专讛, the 转讜专讛 says you should warn his owner. And this refers to the case of a 砖讜专, an ox that gored and killed a person, so the ox has to, so to speak, stand trial. The 驻住讜拽 says, 讜讛讜注讚 讘讘注诇讬讜, you have to warn to the owner. And that means 讬讘讜讗 讘注诇 讛砖讜专, let the owner of the ox come, 讜讬注诪讜讚 注诇 砖讜专讜, he should stand by his ox. So the same applies to a slave, since a slave is like property of the owner, similar to an ox who is property of his owner, so just like when an ox has to stand trial it has to be in front of the owner, so too when a slave stands trial it has to be in front of his owner. So therefore they said to 讬谞讗讬 讛诪诇讱 that he should come and stand there while his slave is standing trial. 讗转讗, he came, 讜讬转讬讘, and he sat down. 讗诪专 诇讬讛 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞, so 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 said to him, 讬谞讗讬 讛诪诇讱, 讬谞讗讬 the king, 注诪讜讚 注诇 专讙诇讬讱, stand on your feet, 讜讬注讬讚讜 讘讱, and they should testify in you. Because the 讚讬谉 is that a 讘注诇 讚讬谉, when somebody comes to 讘讬转 讚讬谉, so the 讚讬讬谞讬诐, the judges sit, but the 讘注诇讬 讚讬谞讬诐 they have to stand. And that's why he said to him, since you are a 讘注诇 讚讬谉 and they are going to testify for you, so you have to stand. But he told him, you should know, 讜诇讗 诇驻谞讬谞讜 讗转讛 注讜诪讚, you are not standing in front of us, 讗诇讗 诇驻谞讬 诪讬 砖讗诪专 讜讛讬讛 讛注讜诇诐 讗转讛 注讜诪讚, but you'll be standing in front of the One that said and created the world, which means you're not standing in our honor, you will be standing in honor of 讛砖诐. 砖谞讗诪专, as the 驻住讜拽 says, 讜注诪讚讜 砖谞讬 讛讗谞砖讬诐 讗砖专 诇讛诐 讛专讬讘 讜讙讜诪专, that the two people that have the argument should stand in front of 讛砖诐, the 驻住讜拽 continues. So that's what he said to him, you'll be standing in front of 讛砖诐. 讗诪专 诇讬讛, so he said to him, to 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞, 诇讗 讻砖转讗诪专 讗转讛, not because you will say, I won't stand just because you say so, 讗诇讗 讻诪讛 砖讬讗诪专讜 讞讘专讬讱, but as your friends will say. In other words, when all the people, the members of the 住谞讛讚专讬谉 will say that I should stand, that's when I'll stand. 谞驻谞讛 诇讬诪讬谞讜, so 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 turned to his right to see what the other members of the 讘讬转 讚讬谉 will say, those that were on his right side. 讻讘砖讜 驻谞讬讛诐 讘拽专拽注, they put their face into the ground, it means they looked down and they didn't say anything. 谞驻谞讛 诇砖诪讗诇讜, so he turned to his left to see what the people of the 住谞讛讚专讬谉 that were on his left side will say, asking them, don't they agree that 讬谞讗讬 has to stand up? 讜讻讘砖讜 驻谞讬讛诐 讘拽专拽注, they also put their face in the ground, means they didn't say anything. They were afraid to say anything to the king.
讗诪专 诇讛诐 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞, so 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 said to them, 讘注诇讬 诪讞砖讘讜转 讗转诐, you are people of thoughts, means you are completely involved in your 诪讞砖讘讜转, in your thoughts, and you don't want to say anything. So if that's so, 讬讘讜讗 讘注诇 诪讞砖讘讜转 讜讬驻专注 诪讻诐, let the Owner, the Master of all thoughts come and punish you. And that refers to 讛砖诐. 诪讬讚, right away, 讘讗 讙讘专讬讗诇, so the 诪诇讗讱 讙讘专讬讗诇 came, 讜讞讘讟谉 讘拽专拽注, he threw them to the ground, 讜诪转讜, and they died. 讘讗讜转讛 砖注讛 讗诪专讜, so at that time they said, 诪诇讱, a king, 诇讗 讚谉 讜诇讗 讚谞讬谉 讗讜转讜, a king should not be, should not judge and not be judged, 诇讗 诪注讬讚, he can't testify, 讜诇讗 诪注讬讚讬谉 讗讜转讜, they shouldn't testify for him, because of what happened in this case. And this only happened concerning 诪诇讻讬 讬砖专讗诇, but 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚, there the 讚讬谉 remains as it was originally, that a king is allowed to judge and a king is allowed to be judged. But 转讜住驻讜转 asks a 拽砖讬讗, how can we say that a king from 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚 is allowed to judge Didn't the 讙诪专讗 learn out before from a 驻住讜拽 that you cannot appoint a king in 住谞讛讚专讬谉 because the 驻住讜拽 says 诇讗 转注谞讛 注诇 专讘, and we 讚专砖谉 诇讗 转注谞讛 注诇 专讘? The 驻住讜拽 says 诇讗 转注谞讛 注诇 专讘, you should not answer to an argument, etc. But the 讙诪专讗 讚专砖谉 that means you can't answer back 注诇 专讘, and if the 专讘 says something you can't say different. And therefore you don't put a king in 住谞讛讚专讬谉 because nobody could differ in the opinion. So 诇讻讗讜专讛, for this reason even a king of 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚 cannot judge. And 转讜住驻讜转 answers that here we're talking about 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转, because by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转 we don't care if the others cannot go against. Because the 讚讬谉 by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转 is that we start from the 讙讚讜诇. By 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转, when we count and we accept the opinions of the 住谞讛讚专讬谉, we have to start from the 拽讟谉, from down up. Because if we'll start from the 讙讚讜诇, the one that's smaller than him will never be able to say against him. But by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转 we do start from the 讙讚讜诇. Either the one that's lower than him will not be able to say against him, we don't care. So the same here that by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转 we don't care if you don't say against the king. So therefore by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转 you could appoint a king in the 住谞讛讚专讬谉. But then 转讜住驻讜转 asks a 拽讜砖讬讗: We find that 讗驻讬诇讜 by 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转, 讚讜讚 judged. Because the case when they were judging 谞讘诇 for revolting against 讚讜讚, and still 讚讜讚 was part of the ones that judged. So we see that we had a 诪诇讱 from 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚, that was 讚讜讚 himself, who participated in judging somebody 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转. 转讜住驻讜转 answers, since that judgment, that trial, was concerning the 讻讘讜讚 of 讚讜讚, they were judging the person who revolted against 讚讜讚, so then they are not embarrassed to speak in front of 讚讜讚, because whatever they say will be all for the honor of 讚讜讚. And therefore, there it didn't matter that 讚讜讚 participated in 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转. But other 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚, when it comes to 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转, definitely they cannot be part of the 住谞讛讚专讬谉, a normal case of 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转, because of the 驻住讜拽 诇讗 转注谞讛 注诇 专讘, 诇讗 转注谞讛 注诇 专讘. But by 讚讬谞讬 诪诪讜谞讜转, that's what the 讙诪专讗 says, that you're allowed to appoint a king of 诪诇讻讬 讘讬转 讚讜讚 into the 住谞讛讚专讬谉. Then 转讜住驻讜转 asks another 拽讜砖讬讗: When they said to 讬谞讗讬 the king, "Stand up," and the reason was because, since he was a 讘注诇 讚讬谉, he has to stand in front of the 讚讬讬谞讬诐, so 转讜住驻讜转 asks a 拽讜砖讬讗: The 讚讬谉 is that when a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 comes to 讘讬转 讚讬谉 as a 讘注诇 讚讬谉, he also doesn't have to stand. And the reason is because there is a 诪爪讜讛 of 讻讘讜讚 讛转讜专讛. Now, even though there is a 诪爪讜讛 that the 讘注诇 讚讬谉 has to stand, but the 诪爪讜讛 of 讻讘讜讚 讛转讜专讛 is greater. And since a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 doesn't have to stand, certainly the king shouldn't have to stand. Because we know that a king is greater than a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐. Because the 讚讬谉 is 讛专讘 砖诪讞诇 注诇 讻讘讜讚讜 讻讘讜讚讜 诪讞讜诇, that if a 专讘讬 is 诪讜讞诇 on his 讻讘讜讚 his 讻讘讜讚 is 诪讞讜诇, and you don't have to give him the 讻讘讜讚. A king that is 诪讜讞诇 on his 讻讘讜讚, his 讻讘讜讚 is not 诪讞讜诇; you still have to give him 讻讘讜讚. So we see that the 讻讘讜讚 of a king is greater. So if the 讻讘讜讚 of a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 is so great that it pushes away the 诪爪讜讛 of having to stand in front of the 讚讬讬谞讬诐, certainly the 讻讘讜讚 of a king will be great enough to push away that 诪爪讜讛. So why did they tell 讬谞讗讬 to stand? And 转讜住驻讜转 answers that the 驻砖讟 is that the 讻讘讜讚 of 转讜专讛 is greater. It is not the 讻讘讜讚 of the 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 versus the 讻讘讜讚 of the king, it is the 讻讘讜讚 of 转讜专讛. And therefore, even though a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 doesn't have to stand, but 讬谞讗讬 does have to stand, because the 讻讘讜讚 for the king is not that concept of 讻讘讜讚 of 转讜专讛, while the 讻讘讜讚 of a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 is the concept of 讻讘讜讚 of 转讜专讛. 讗讬讬, how come a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 that is 诪讜讞诇 on his 讻讘讜讚, his 讻讘讜讚 is 诪讞讜诇, while a king who is 诪讜讞诇 on his 讻讘讜讚, his 讻讘讜讚 is not 诪讞讜诇? Because, so 转讜住驻讜转 says, because the reason we have to have 讻讘讜讚 for the king is not because of his 讻讘讜讚, it's because it's a 诪爪讜讛 of 讛砖诐 to have 讻讘讜讚 for the king, as the 驻住讜拽 says 砖讜诐 转砖讬诐 注诇讬讱 诪诇讱, put a 诪诇讱 upon you, and we 讚专砖谉 that you have to have the fear of the king upon you. So it's a 讚讬谉 in the 转讜专讛. Now the king has no right to say that you do not have to keep the 讚讬谉 of the 转讜专讛. And since the 转讜专讛 says you should have 讻讘讜讚 for him, he cannot be 诪讜讞诇 on that 讻讘讜讚. While by a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐, since the 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 learned 转讜专讛, the 讙诪专讗 says the 转讜专讛 becomes his, as the 讙诪专讗 says in 注讘讜讚讛 讝专讛 that 诇讻转讞讬诇讛 when he learns 转讜专讛, it's still called 转讜专转 讛砖诐, it's still called on the name of 讛砖诐, but afterwards it's called 转讜专转讜, his 转讜专讛. Now
since it's his 转讜专讛, he is a 讘注诇 讛讘讬转 over that 转讜专讛, therefore he is able to be 诪讜讞诇. But other than that, not for him being 诪讜讞诇, we have to have the 讻讘讜讚 because of the 转讜专讛. And therefore, 讻讘讜讚 for a 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 is strong enough that he shouldn't have to stand in front of the 讚讬讬谞讬诐, but the 讻讘讜讚 for a king is not that big that he shouldn't have to stand. But then 转讜住驻讜转 asks another 拽讜砖讬讗: Why did they make 讬谞讗讬 stand? And the reason was, as we said before, because he was a 讘注诇 讚讬谉, so therefore he had to stand. Isn't the 讚讬谉 that if both 讘注诇讬 讚讬谉 want to sit you're able to make them both sit? The only 讚讬谉 is that if one sits and one stands that is 讗住讜专. But both should sit, that is 诪讜转专. So therefore, why did they make the 讬谞讗讬 stand? They could have told him to sit down and told the other one also to sit down. So 转讜住驻讜转 says that by 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转 it's different, that by 讚讬谞讬 谞驻砖讜转 both must stand. Another 转讬专讜抓 转讜住驻讜转 gives: Here it was not just being judged as a 讘注诇 讚讬谉, but it was a case of 拽讘诇转 注讚讜转, that they had to accept testimony When you accept testimony, then you must stand, because accepting testimony has the same 讚讬谉 as 砖注转 讙诪专 讚讬谉, as the time of the verdict. And the 讚讬谉 is that when they give the verdict, then everyone agrees that the 讚讬讬谞讬诐 sit and the 讘注诇讬 讚讬谉 must stand. And accepting testimony has the same 讚讬谉 as the giving of the verdict, and therefore they both had to stand. And by the way, 转讜住驻讜转 says therefore we have to be very careful that when we have a 讚讬谉 转讜专讛 that the 讘注诇讬 讚讬谉 should not sit when they receive the testimony, and not when they make the 讙诪专 讚讬谉. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It said in the 诪砖谞讛, 诇讗 讞讜诇抓 讜诇讗 讞讜诇爪讬谉 讜讻讜诇讬, that a
king doesn't give 讞诇讬爪讛 to his brother's wife, and his wife doesn't receive 讞诇讬爪讛 from his brother. And then it also says that he is not 诪讬讬讘诐 his brother's wife, and his wife cannot get 讬讘讜诐 from his brother. But 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 said if the king wants to give 讞诇讬爪讛 or to give 讬讘讜诐, 讝讻讜专 诇讟讜讘, he is remembered for the good, in other words, it is very good, it is a 讛讬讚讜专 if he does that. So they said to him, the 诪砖谞讛 says, 讗讬谉 砖讜诪注讬谉 诇讜, we don't listen to him. In other words, even if the king wants to do it, we do not accept it. And now the 讙诪专讗 asks a 拽砖讬讗 on the opinion of 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛. 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 said that if he wants, it is good. Is it not so? 讜讛讗诪专 专讘 讗砖讬, didn't 专讘 讗砖讬 say, 讗驻讬诇讜 诇诪讗谉 讚讗诪专, even according to the one that says 谞砖讬讗 砖诪讞诇 注诇 讻讘讜讚讜 讻讘讜讚讜 诪讞讜诇, that a 谞砖讬讗 who is 诪讜讞诇 on his 讻讘讜讚, his 讻讘讜讚 is 诪讜讞诇 and you don't have to give him the 讻讘讜讚, 诪诇讱 砖诪讞诇 注诇 讻讘讜讚讜 讗讬谉 讻讘讜讚讜 诪讞讜诇, if a king gives up on his 讻讘讜讚, so his 讻讘讜讚 is not 诪讜讞诇, you still must give him the proper 讻讘讜讚. The 驻住讜拽 says you should put a king upon you. Now what does that mean? 砖转讛讗 讗讬诪转讜 注诇讬讱, that his fear should be upon you. You should always be afraid of him, you should always give him the 讻讘讜讚 no matter what. So according to that, how can 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 say that if the king doesn't mind and he wants to give 讞诇讬爪讛, he is allowed to give 讞诇讬爪讛? But the 讙诪专讗 answers, 诪爪讜讛 砖讗谞讬, a 诪爪讜讛 is different. 住转诐 讗讝讜讬 if he wants to give up on his 讻讘讜讚, you still have to give him the 讻讘讜讚. But if it is concerning doing a 诪爪讜讛, then he has a right to give up on his 讻讘讜讚. And since here we're talking about giving 讞诇讬爪讛, which is a 诪爪讜讛, so therefore, if he wants, he's allowed to give 讞诇讬爪讛. In the 讙诪专讗 in 讻转讜讘讜转 we find that there's a story that the king stopped when he was supposed to pass, and let a 讻诇讛 go through. And the 讙诪专讗 explains how is the king allowed to do that? And the 讙诪专讗 says, because 驻专砖转 讚专讻讬诐 讛讜讛, it was in a fork in the road, and it wasn't really going against his 讻讘讜讚. 诇讻讗讜专讛, the 讙诪专讗 could have answered like the 讙诪专讗 says here, 诪爪讜讛 砖讗谞讬. It's a 诪爪讜讛 of 讛讻谞住转 讻诇讛, and therefore, he did a 诪爪讜讛. And when it comes to a 诪爪讜讛, the king is allowed to give up on his 讻讘讜讚. And 转讜住驻讜转 answers, there there is not a real 诪爪讜讛. The only idea of the 诪爪讜讛 is because of the 讻讘讜讚 of the 讞转谉 讜讻诇讛. The whole 诪爪讜讛 is the 讻讘讜讚 of a 讞转谉 讜讻诇讛. And since the 讻讘讜讚 of a 诪诇讱 is greater than the 讻讘讜讚 of 讞转谉, therefore there is no 诪爪讜讛. Here we're talking about the 诪爪讜讛 of 讞诇讬爪讛 or 讬讘讜诐. That in itself is a 诪爪讜讛, so we're able to say that a king is allowed to give up on his 讻讘讜讚 for the sake of the 诪爪讜讛 of 讞诇讬爪讛 or 讬讘讜诐. But in the case of 讙诪专讗 讻转讜讘讜转, there the whole 诪爪讜讛 is the 讻讘讜讚 of the 讞转谉 讜讻诇讛. And since 讻讘讜讚 of a king is greater than the 讻讘讜讚 of 讞转谉 讜讻诇讛, so we can't say that because of a 诪爪讜讛 he was allowed to do it, because there is no 诪爪讜讛, since his 讻讘讜讚 is greater than their 讻讘讜讚. So therefore the only 转讬专讜抓 the 讙诪专讗 could give there was that since it was in a fork in the road, it wasn't so obvious, and therefore it didn't go against the 讻讘讜讚 of the king. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues. It said in the The 诪砖谞讛 said that you're not allowed to marry the widow of the king. But 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 said that a king is allowed to marry the widow of another king, as we find by 讚讜讚 who married the widow of 砖讗讜诇, because the 驻住讜拽 says, 讜讗转谞讛 诇讱 讗转 讘讬转 讗讚讜谞讬讱 讜讗转 谞砖讬 讗讚讜谞讬讱 讘讞讬拽讱. 谞转谉 讛谞讘讬讗, when he was speaking to 讚讜讚, so he said to him that we gave you the house of your master, the house of 砖讗讜诇, and the wives of your master in your lap, which means the wives of 砖讗讜诇. So we see there that 讚讜讚 married the widow of 砖讗讜诇. The 讙诪专讗 says, 转谞讬讗 we learned, 讗诪专讜 诇讜 诇专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛, they said to 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛, that what does that 驻住讜拽 mean? The 驻住讜拽 doesn't mean that we gave you the wives of the king, meaning the widow of 砖讗讜诇, but it means the wives of the household of the king, but those women that were fit for you, which means those women that you're allowed to marry, not the wife, the widow of the king, because that you're not allowed to marry, because we hold that even a king is not allowed to marry the widow of another king, but what he meant was the women from the household of the king that is fit, meaning those that you are allowed to marry. And who are they? The two daughters of 砖讗讜诇, 诪讬专讘 and 诪讬讻诇, they were given to 讚讜讚, and those are the women that the 驻住讜拽 refers to. How did 讚讜讚 marry two sisters while they were both alive? 诪讬讻诇 and 诪讬专讘 were both sisters, they were both daughters of 砖讗讜诇. As the 驻住讜拽 says, that you should not take a sister of your wife, 讘讞讬讬讛, while your wife is alive, but if the wife dies, then you are allowed to marry her sister. But here it seems like 讚讜讚 married both sisters while they were both alive. So he did not marry two sisters together. So therefore, really 诪讬专讘 was not married to him. Therefore, he was allowed to marry 诪讬讻诇, which was her sister, because she is not a sister of his wife, because 诪讬专讘 was not really his wife. 砖谞讗诪专, as it says in 驻住讜拽, that 讚讜讚 said, 转谞讛 讗转 讗砖转讬, give me my wife, 讗转 诪讬讻诇, 诪讬讻诇, 讗砖专 讗专砖转讬 诇讬, that I was 诪拽讚砖 to me, 讘诪讗讛 注专诇讜转 驻诇砖转讬诐, with a hundred foreskins, 注专诇讜转 of 驻诇砖转讬诐. Because we find in 转谞状讱 that in the story of 讙诇讬转, when 讙诇讬转, the giant, came to fight with the 讬讬讚谉, so 砖讗讜诇 said that anybody who is going to kill 讙诇讬转, I will give him a lot of riches, plus I will give him my daughter as a wife. And the older daughter of 砖讗讜诇 was 诪讬专讘, and the second daughter was 诪讬讻诇. After 讚讜讚 killed 讙诇讬转, so 砖讗讜诇 said to him that he will not give him 诪讬专讘 as a wife, and instead he gave 诪讬专讘 to 注讚专讬讗诇 as a wife, but he will give him 诪讬讻诇 as a wife on condition that he's going to bring him a hundred 注专诇讜转 of 驻诇砖转讬诐, that he will kill a hundred 驻诇砖转讬诐 and bring their foreskins to him. And that's what he did. And still, later on, 砖讗讜诇 gave 诪讬讻诇 as a wife to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖. This is the story. So here in the 驻住讜拽 it says that 讚讜讚 said, give me my wife 诪讬讻诇 that I was 诪拽讚砖 with a hundred 注专诇讜转 of 驻诇砖转讬诐. And this is the 驻住讜拽 that the 讙诪专讗 brings to show that 诪讬专讘's 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 were 拽讬讚讜砖讬 讟注讜转, were 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 by mistake, and therefore were not valid. How do you learn it out from this 驻住讜拽? How does this 驻住讜拽 show that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 诪讬专讘 were 拽讬讚讜砖讬 讟注讜转? 讗诪专 专讘 驻驻讗, so 专讘 驻驻讗 said, since 讚讜讚 said, give me my wife 诪讬讻诇, so we 讚专砖谉 诪讬讻诇 讗砖转讬, that 诪讬讻诇 is my wife, 讜诇讗 诪讬专讘 讗砖转讬, 诪讬专讘 is not my wife. Why? And then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 诪讗讬 拽讬讚讜砖讬 讟注讜转? What was the story there of the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that we consider it 拽讬讚讜砖讬 讟注讜转? And the 讙诪专讗 says, 讚讻转讬讘, because the 驻住讜拽 says that 砖讗讜诇 said, 讜讛讬讛 讛讗讬砖 讗砖专 讬讻谞讜, that the man that will hit him, that will kill 讙诇讬转, 讬注砖专谞讜 讛诪诇讱 注讜砖专 讙讚讜诇 讜讙讜诪专, the king will give him a lot of riches, and also will give his daughter to him as a wife. 讗讝诇 拽讟诇讬讛, so 讚讜讚 went and killed 讙诇讬转, and then, when he expected to get 诪讬专讘 as a wife, 讗诪专 诇讬讛, so 砖讗讜诇 said to him, 诪诇讜讛 讗讬转 诇讱 讙讘讗讬, you only have a debt by me. He said to him, what's the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that you gave to 诪讬专讘? The 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 was that I promised to give you a lot of riches, so that money that I promised to give you, which means that I owe you, that was the money with which you were 诪拽讚砖 诪讬专讘. But the 讚讬谉 is 讛诪拽讚砖 讘诪诇讜讛 讗讬谞讛 诪拽讜讚砖转, that if you're 诪拽讚砖 a woman with a debt, she's not 诪拽讜讚砖转. If you give her money or something which has the value of money, then she's But if you just tell her, the money you owe me, with that money I should be 诪拽讚砖 you that now you don't owe me the money anymore, then she's not 诪拽讜讚砖转. Because as the 讙诪专讗 says in 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, when you do that, you're not really giving her anything. Even if originally you gave her money as a loan, and now you come and say, with that money that I gave you originally you should be 诪拽讜讚砖转, she's still not 诪拽讜讚砖转. Because when you give her the money as a loan, the rule is When you take money as a loan, you take it to use, so that money is not around anymore. So now, when you tell her, keep the money and don't pay me, and that should be the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, you are at this point not giving her anything. And therefore the 讚讬谉 is that if you're 诪拽讚砖 with a debt, she's not 诪拽讜讚砖转. And this is what 砖讗讜诇 told 讚讜讚: the only way you were 诪拽讚砖 her, 诪讬专讘, was with the money that I owe you, this is not a 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, so that 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 is not valid. 讗讝诇 讬讛讘讛 诇注讚专讬讗诇, so 砖讗讜诇 went and gave 诪讬专讘 as a wife to 注讚专讬讗诇, 讚讻转讬讘, as it says, 讜讬讛讬 讘注转 转转 讗转 诪讬专讘 讘转 砖讗讜诇 诇讚讜讚 讜讙讜诪专, that when came the time when 诪讬专讘, the daughter of 砖讗讜诇, should have been given to 讚讜讚, she was given to 注讚专讬讗诇. 讗诪专 诇讬讛, and then 砖讗讜诇 said to 讚讜讚, 讗讬 讘注讬转 讚讗转谉 诇讱 诪讬讻诇, if you want I should give you 诪讬讻诇 as a wife, this other daughter, 讝讬诇 讗讬讬转讬 诇讬 诪讗讛 注专诇讜转 驻诇砖转讬诐, go bring me a hundred foreskins of 驻诇砖转讬诐, kill a hundred 驻诇砖转讬诐, and if you bring me their foreskins, then I will give you 诪讬讻诇 as a wife. 讗讬讬转讬 诇讬讛, he brought it to him, and he expected to get 诪讬讻诇 as a wife. And 讚讜讚, so to speak, was 诪拽讚砖 诪讬讻诇 with this 诪讗讛 注专诇讜转, with the hundred foreskins. And nevertheless, later on, 砖讗讜诇 took 诪讬讻诇 and gave her as a wife to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖, even though she was 诪拽讜讚砖转 to 讚讜讚. And why did he do it? Because 砖讗讜诇 held that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 to 讚讜讚 were not valid 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. Because 讗诪专 诇讬讛, 砖讗讜诇 said to 讚讜讚, 诪诇讜讛 讜驻专讜讟讛 讗讬转 诇讱 讙讘讗讬, you have by me a debt and a 驻专讜讟讛, because you were 诪拽讚砖 her with two things. First of all, the money that I owe you, since I promised that whoever is going to kill I will make him rich, so that money I owe you, so that money is used for 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. Because here, she was still young, and the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that is given to a 拽讟谞讛 is given to the father. So the money that I owe you, you use that for 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. Plus, you brought the hundred 注专诇讜转 of the 驻诇砖转讬诐, which had some value, and you use that also as part of the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. So it's as if you were 诪拽讚砖 her with a 诪诇讜讛, with the loan, and a 驻专讜讟讛. Now 砖讗讜诇 住讘专, 砖讗讜诇 held, 诪诇讜讛 讜驻专讜讟讛 讚注转讬讛 讗诪诇讜讛, that if somebody is 诪拽讚砖 a woman giving her the 诪诇讜讛 and also giving her a 驻专讜讟讛, he really has in mind the 诪诇讜讛. And therefore, it has a 讚讬谉 of 诪拽讚砖 讘诪诇讜讛, and as we said before, a 诪拽讚砖 讘诪诇讜讛, she is not 诪拽讜讚砖转. So therefore 砖讗讜诇 held that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 are not 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. 讜讚讜讚 住讘专, but 讚讜讚 held, 诪诇讜讛 讜驻专讜讟讛 讚注转讬讛 讗驻专讜讟讛, that when someone is 诪拽讚砖 with a 诪诇讜讛 and a 驻专讜讟讛, his mind is on the 驻专讜讟讛. And if you're 诪拽讚砖 with a 驻专讜讟讛, she is 诪拽讜讚砖转. So even though there was also a 诪诇讜讛 involved, but since he had in mind the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 should mainly come from the 驻专讜讟讛, she is 诪拽讜讚砖转. 讗讬讘注讬转 讗讬诪讗, if you want, could be the 诪讞诇讜拽转 between 砖讗讜诇 and 讚讜讚 was a little bit different. 讚讻讜诇讬 注诇诪讗, everyone held 诪诇讜讛 讜驻专讜讟讛 讚注转讬讛 讗驻专讜讟讛, that when you're 诪拽讚砖 with a 诪诇讜讛 and a 驻专讜讟讛, you have in mind the 驻专讜讟讛. But still, 砖讗讜诇 住讘专, 砖讗讜诇 held 诇讗 讞讝讜 讜诇讗 诪讬讚讬, that the hundred 注专诇讜转 had no value, they were not worth anything. And therefore, there was no 驻专讜讟讛 here. There was only a 诪诇讜讛, and that's why he said the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 are not 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. 讜讚讜讚 住讘专, but 讚讜讚 held 讞讝讜 诇讻诇讘讬诐 讜砖讜谞专讗, they could be used for dogs and cats to be eaten, so at least they have a value of a 驻专讜讟讛. And therefore, he held the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 are 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉. 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 who said that really 诪专讘 and 诪讬讻诇 were both married to 讚讜讚, and the only reason he was allowed to take two sisters was because he married 诪讬讻诇 after 诪专讘 died, what does he do with this 驻住讜拽 转谞讛 讗转 讗砖转讬 讗转 诪讬讻诇? Because before we said that from this 驻住讜拽 we see that only 诪讬讻诇 was his wife, not 诪专讘, because the 驻住讜拽 says my wife 诪讬讻诇, obviously only 诪讬讻诇 was the wife, not 诪专讘. But according to 专讘讬 讬讜住讬, 诪专讘 was also his wife. The 讙诪专讗 says 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 诇讟注诪讬讛, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 goes according to his own opinion. 讚转谞讬讗, because we learn in a 讘专讬讬转讗, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讛讬讛 讚讜专砖 诪拽专讗讜转 诪注讜专讘讬诐, 专讘讬 讬讜住讬 讚专砖'谞讚 the mixed-up 驻住讜拽讬诐, there are confused 驻住讜拽讬诐 here and he 讚专砖'谞讚 them. 讻转讬讘, one 驻住讜拽 says 讜讬拽讞 讛诪诇讱, the 诪诇讱, the 诪诇讱 took 讗转 砖谞讬 讘谞讬 专爪驻讛 讘转 讗讬讛, the two children of 专爪驻讛 the daughter of 讗讬讛 讗砖专 讬诇讚讛 诇砖讗讜诇, that gave birth to 砖讗讜诇. Who were they? And the question that is asked on this 驻住讜拽 is, 讜讻讬 诇注讚专讬讗诇 谞讬转谞讛? Was then 诪讬讻诇 given to 注讚专讬讗诇? To 注讚专讬讗诇, he gave the other sister, 诪专讘, but 诪讬讻诇 was given to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖. And here, the 驻住讜拽 says that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to 注讚专讬讗诇. And how do we know that she was given to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖? So what does the 驻住讜拽 mean that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to these children to 注讚专讬讗诇? 讗诇讗, what does the 驻住讜拽 mean? 诪讛 拽讬讚讜砖讬 诪讬讻诇 诇驻诇讟讬 讘注讘讬专讛, just like the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that 诪讬讻诇 got from 驻诇讟讬 was with an 注讘讬专讛, because really she was married to 讚讜讚, and as the 驻住讜拽 says 讘驻讬专讜砖 that she was married to 讚讜讚, as he said 转谞讛 讗转 讗砖转讬 讗转 诪讬讻诇, 讗祝 拽讬讚讜砖讬 诪专讘 诇注讚专讬讗诇 讘注讘讬专讛. So too when 注讚专讬讗诇 gave 诪专讘 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, it was also with an 注讘讬专讛, because really she was married to 讚讜讚. And as it seems that he 讚专砖'谞讚 the 驻住讜拽 转谞讛 讗转 讗砖转讬 讗转 诪讬讻诇 not as we said before that this comes to tell us That just 诪讬讻诇 was his wife, not 诪讬专讘, but just opposite. The 驻住讜拽 wants to stress 讘驻讬专讜砖 that 诪讬讻诇 was his wife, to show that that is definitely true, and then later we should be able to compare the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that 注讚专讬讗诇 gave to 诪讬专讘 to the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that 驻诇讟讬 gave to 诪讬讻诇. That just like 驻诇讟讬's 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 to 诪讬讻诇 was with an 注讘讬专讛, because the 驻住讜拽 stresses clearly 讗转 讗砖转讬 讗转 诪讬讻诇, give me my wife 诪讬讻诇 cuz she was his wife, and as 专砖"讬 says because the 讛诇讻讛 is that when you're 诪拽讚砖 with a 诪诇讜讛 讜驻专讜讟讛 讚注转讬讛 讗诪诇讜讛, and therefore the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 were 100% 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, so therefore later when 驻诇讟讬 gave her 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉, the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 were with an 注讘讬专讛, so too the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that 注讚专讬讗诇 gave to 诪讬专讘 was also 讘注讘讬专讛 because she was married to 讚讜讚. Then the 讙诪专讗 says, 讜专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 讘谉 拽专讞讛, now we have a 拽砖讬讗, 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 讘谉 拽专讞讛, 谞诪讬 讛讗 讻转讬讘, doesn't it say, 讗转 讞诪砖转 讘谞讬 诪讬讻诇 讘转 砖讗讜诇, and as we said before, this 驻住讜拽 comes to show that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 注讚专讬讗诇 to 诪讬专讘 were as bad as the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 驻诇讟讬 to 诪讬讻诇. We can't learn the 驻砖讟 in the 驻住讜拽 simply, because we cannot say that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to these children to 注讚专讬讗诇, as we said before, because she was not married to 注讚专讬讗诇. So the 驻砖讟 in the 驻住讜拽 is that the 驻住讜拽 comes to tell us that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 注讚专讬讗诇 to 诪讬专讘 was as bad as the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 from 驻诇讟讬 to 诪讬讻诇. Why? Because just like 诪讬讻诇 was married to 讚讜讚, so was 诪讬专讘 married to 讚讜讚. So what will 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 讘谉 拽专讞讛 do with this? 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 讘谉 拽专讞讛 had said before that she was never married to 讚讜讚, that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 诪讬专讘 were 拽讬讚讜砖讬 讟注讜转, but here we see that the 驻住讜拽 is trying to tell us that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 that 注讚专讬讗诇 gave to 诪讬专讘 was wrong, because 诪讬专讘 was married to 讚讜讚, not like 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 讘谉 拽专讞讛 said that the 拽讬讚讜砖讬谉 of 诪讬专讘 to 讚讜讚 were 讘讟注讜转. 讗诪专 诇讱 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注, 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 will answer you, the 驻砖讟 is like this: 讜讻讬 诪讬讻诇 讬诇讚讛? Did really 诪讬讻诇 give birth to these children? 讜讛诇讗 诪讬专讘 讬诇讚讛, 诪讬专讘 gave birth to these children. So these children that say that they were born to 注讚专讬讗诇, they were 讟讗拽注 born to 注讚专讬讗诇, but not through 诪讬讻诇, but they were born through his wife 诪讬专讘. But why does the 驻住讜拽 say that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to them? Because 诪讬专讘 讬诇讚讛, 诪讬专讘 gave birth, 讜诪讬讻诇 讙讬讚诇讛, but 诪讬讻诇 raised them. 诇驻讬讻讱 谞拽专讗讜 注诇 砖诪讛, therefore they are called on her name, that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to them, 诇诇诪讚讱, to teach you, 砖讻诇 讛诪讙讚诇 讬转讜诐 讘转讜讱 讘讬转讜, anybody who raises an orphan in his house, 诪注诇讛 注诇讬讜 讛讻转讜讘 讻讗讬诇讜 讬诇讚讜, the 转讜专讛 compares it as if this person gave birth to that child, and therefore the 驻住讜拽 says that 诪讬讻诇 gave birth to these children, even though the truth is that she did not give birth to them. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues, there's a 住讬诪谉 concerning those next few 诪讬诪专讜转 that the 讙诪专讗 will bring: 讞谞讬谞讗 拽专讗. 专讘 讞谞讬谞讗 said a 讚专讜砖 concerning a 驻住讜拽 that has the word 拽专讗. 讬讜讞谞谉, 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉 said concerning the 驻住讜拽 讜讗砖转讜. 讗诇注讝专 said concerning 讜注讜诇讛. 讜砖诪讜讗诇 had a 诇讬诪讜讚 讘谞讜讙注 the 驻住讜拽 讘诇讬诪讜讚讬. And this is the 住讬诪谉 to remember the next 诪讬诪专讜转. The 讙诪专讗 says: 专讘 讞谞讬谞讗 讗讜诪专, 专讘 讞谞讬谞讗 says, 诪讛讻讗, we learn it out from this 驻住讜拽. This 诇讬诪讜讚 that we said before that we learn out that anybody who raises a child, a 讬转讜诐 in his house, it is as if he gave birth to the child, we learn out from another 驻住讜拽. It says a 驻住讜拽 in 专讜转: 讜转拽专讗谞讛 诇讜 讛砖讻谞讜转 砖诐 诇讗诪专, that when 专讜转 gave birth to a child from 讘讜注讝, so the neighbors gave a name and said, 讬讜诇讚 讘谉 诇谞注诪讬, a child was born to 谞注诪讬. 讜讻讬 谞注诪讬 讬诇讚讛? Did 谞注诪讬 give birth? 讜讛诇讗 专讜转 讬诇讚讛, 专讜转 gave birth! 讗诇讗 专讜转 讬诇讚讛 讜谞注诪讬 讙讬讚诇讛, 专讜转 gave birth and 谞注诪讬 raised the child. 诇驻讬讻讱 谞拽专讗 注诇 砖诪讛, therefore the child is called on her name. 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉 讗诪专 诪讛讻讗, 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉 says we learn it out from a different 驻住讜拽, from this 驻住讜拽. It says: 讜讗砖转讜 讛讬讛讜讚讬转 讬诇讚讛 讗转 讬专讚 讗讘讬 讙讚讜专 讜讙讜诪专, that his wife the 讬讛讜讚讬转, and this was 讘转讬讛 the daughter of 驻专注讛, and she was married to 讻诇讘, and she gave birth, it says, to 讬专讚, 讗讘讬 讙讚讜专, etc., and all these are names for 诪砖讛. And the 驻住讜拽 says: 讗诇讛 讘谞讬 讘转讬讛 讘转 驻专注讛, these are the children of 讘转讬讛 the daughter of 驻专注讛, 讗砖专 诇拽讞 诪专讚, that 诪专讚 took for a wife. Who is 诪专讚? 诪专讚 讝讛 讻诇讘. 诪专讚, that is 讻诇讘 讘谉 讬驻讜谞讛. 讜诇诪讛 谞拽专讗 砖诪讜 诪专讚? Why is he called 诪专讚? 砖诪专讚 讘注爪转 诪专讙诇讬诐, because he revolted against the advice of the 诪专讙诇讬诐. Because 讻诇讘 was one of the two that
did not go along with the 注爪讛 of the 诪专讙诇讬诐. So he revolted against them, therefore he is called 诪专讚. So the 驻住讜拽 says that these are the children that 讘转讬讛 gave birth. Did 讘转讬讛 give birth? 讜讛诇讗 讬讜讻讘讚 讬诇讚讛, 讬讜讻讘讚 gave birth, because as we said before, that all the names in the 驻住讜拽 here as the children of 讘转讬讛, they are all names of 诪砖讛. Now we know 诪砖讛 was the son of 讬讜讻讘讚. So why does the 转讜专讛 say that 讘转讬讛 gave birth to him, to 诪砖讛? 讗诇讗, therefore you must say the 驻砖讟 is, 讬讜讻讘讚 讬诇讚讛, 讬讜讻讘讚 gave birth, 讜讘转讬讛 讙讬诇讚讛, 讙讬讚诇讛, and 讘转讬讛 raised him, and therefore, 诇驻讬讻讱 谞拽专讗 注诇 砖诪讛, therefore it is called on her name. 专' 讗诇注讝专 讗诪专, 专' 讗诇注讝专 said 诪讛讻讗, we know this from another another 驻住讜拽. From this 驻住讜拽, the 驻住讜拽 in 转讛讬诇讬诐 where it says 讙讗诇转 讘讝专讜注 注诪讱, you redeemed with your arm your nation, 讘谞讬 讬注拽讘 讜讬讜住祝 住诇讛, the children of 讬注拽讘 and 讬讜住祝, 住诇讛. This refers to all the 讬讬讚谉, did 讬讜住祝 give birth to all the 讬讬讚谉? 讜讛诇讗 讬注拽讘 讬诇讚, 讬注拽讘 gave birth to all the 讬讬讚谉. 讗诇讗, what does that mean? 讬注拽讘 gave birth, but 讬讜住祝 supported them. In the time of hunger, 讬讜住祝 supported them. 诇驻讬讻讱 谞拽专讗讜 注诇 砖诪讜, therefore they are called on his name.
讗诪专 专讘 砖诪讜讗诇 讘专 谞讞诪谞讬 讗诪专 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉, 专讘 砖诪讜讗诇 讘专 谞讞诪谞讬 said in the name of 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉: 讻诇 讛诪诇诪讚 讘谉 讞讘讬专讜 转讜专讛, anybody who teaches the child of his friend 转讜专讛, 诪注诇讛 注诇讬讜 讛讻转讜讘 讻讗讬诇讜 讬诇讚讜, the 转讜专讛 considers it as if he gave birth to that child. 砖谞讗诪专, because the 驻住讜拽 says, 讜讗诇讛 转讜诇讚讜转 讗讛专谉 讜诪砖讛, these are the children of 讗讛专谉 and 诪砖讛, 讜讻转讬讘, and right after that it says, 讜讗诇讛 砖诪讜转 讘谞讬 讗讛专谉, these are the names of the children of 讗讛专谉. And the names of the children of 诪砖讛 are not mentioned, only the names of the children of 讗讛专谉. And nevertheless, before that the 转讜专讛 said that the 转讜专讛 is going to mention the names of the children of 诪砖讛 too. But the 转讜专讛 only mentions the names of the children of 讗讛专谉. 诇讜诪专 诇讱, to tell you, 讗讛专谉 讬诇讚, that 讗讛专谉 gave birth to his children, 讜诪砖讛 诇讬诪讚, but 诪砖讛 taught them. 诇驻讬讻讱 谞拽专讗讜 注诇 砖诪讜, therefore they're called on his name. So therefore, when the 转讜专讛 says these are the the names of the children of 讗讛专谉 and 诪砖讛, it only says the names of the children of 讗讛专谉. They are also called the children of 诪砖讛 because 诪砖讛 taught them 转讜专讛. 讛' said to the house of 讬注拽讘 who redeemed 讗讘专讛诐. And the
question is, 讜讻讬 讛讬讻讗 诪爪讬谞讜, where do we find, 讘讬注拽讘 砖驻讚讛 诇讗讘专讛诐, that 讬注拽讘 redeemed 讗讘专讛诐? He redeemed him, he saved him, from the suffering of raising children. Because really 讗讘专讛诐 should have had all the children, and he should have had the bother of raising the children. I will multiply your children. But he didn't have, and 讬注拽讘 had the many children instead. So 讬注拽讘 saved him from the bother, from the 爪注专 of raising the children. 讜讛讬讬谞讜 讚讻转讬讘, this is what the 驻住讜拽 says: 诇讗 注转讛 讬讘讜砖 讬注拽讘 讜讙讜', now you should not be ashamed 讬注拽讘, and the 驻住讜拽 continues, 讜诇讗 注转讛 驻谞讬讜 讬讞讜讜专讜. That means, 诇讗 注转讛 讬讘讜砖 讬注拽讘 诪讗讘讬讜, now 讬注拽讘 should not be embarrassed of his father, 讜诇讗 注转讛 驻谞讬讜 讬讞讜讜专讜, now your face will not be pale, 诪讗讘讬 讗讘讬讜, from his grandfather, which is from 讗讘专讛诐, because he saved 讗讘专讛诐 from the trouble of raising the children. This is the way 专砖''讬 learns the 驻砖讟 in these words that he saved 讗讘专讛诐 from the 爪注专 讙讬讚讜诇 讘谞讬诐. But 转讜住驻讜转 says that 诇讻讗讜专讛 this 驻砖讟 is not understood, because how can we say that raising children is called 爪注专? That is really called As we find in the 讙诪专讗 讘专讻讜转 concerning 注讜讘讚 讗讚讜诐 that it says in the 驻住讜拽 讛' blessed him with children in reward that he had the 讗专讜谉 in his house. So having a lot of children is called a blessing, not a 爪注专. And also, 讗讘专讛诐 also had a lot of children, not from 砖专讛, but from 拽讟讜专讛. So therefore 转讜住驻讜转 learns that it doesn't mean the 爪注专 of having a lot of children, but the 爪注专 of what happened with 讬讜住祝 and his brothers, and then that later they went down to 诪爪专讬诐, which 诇讻讗讜专讛 should have happened to 讗讘专讛诐, but instead of that, happened to 讬注拽讘, and that's what the 讙诪专讗 means that 讬注拽讘 saved 讗讘专讛诐 from the 爪注专 of 讙讬讚讜诇 讘谞讬诐. Then the
讙诪专讗 continues, we mentioned before that 诪讬讻诇 was given by 砖讗讜诇 to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖. Sometimes the 驻住讜拽 calls him 驻诇讟讬, and sometimes the 驻住讜拽 calls him 驻诇讟讬讗诇. Why was he also called The word 驻诇讟讬讗诇 is made up of two words: 驻诇讟讬, 讗诇. That means that 讛' saved him from the 注讘讬专讛. Because the word 驻诇讟 comes also from the meaning of saving. So 驻诇讟讬讗诇 means he was saved by 讛' from the 注讘讬专讛. Because really, as we said before, she was married to 讚讜讚, so he was not allowed to live with her. And 讛' saved him that he actually never had relations with her, he never lived with her, and he did not do the 注讘讬专讛. So what did he do? 谞注抓 讞专讘 讘讬谞讜 诇讘讬谞讛, he put a sword in between them. They slept on one bed, but he put a sword in between the two. 讗诪专, he said, 讻诇 讛注讜住拽 讘讚讘专 讝讛, anybody who is going to get involved in this, in trying to have relations, 讬讚拽专 讘讞专讘 讝讛, will be stabbed with this sword. Then the 讙诪专讗 asks, 讜讻转讬讘, doesn't the 驻住讜拽 say, 讜讬诇讱 讗转讛 讗讬砖讛, that her husband went with her, and it refers to 驻诇讟讬 as her husband? What that means is he became to her like a husband. That means, as 专砖''讬 explains, that he loved her and he took care of her like a husband, but not more than that. Then the 讙诪专讗 says, 讜讻转讬讘, doesn't it say, 讛诇讜讱 讜讘讻讛, he was going and crying? The 讙诪专讗 says, 注诇 讛诪爪讜讛 讚讗讝讬诇 诪讬谞讬讛, that when she left him, he was crying because the 诪爪讜讛 that left him. Like this, he had a 诪爪讜讛 of overcoming his 讬爪专 讛专注, but when this left him, that's why he was crying. Then it says they went What does that mean? 砖谞注砖讜 砖谞讬讛诐 讻讘讞讜专讬诐, they both became like youths, 砖诇讗 讟注诪讜 讟注诐 讘讬讗讛, because they didn't taste the taste of relations. Because they did not have relations, so they were like 讘讞讜专讬诐, like young people who never were married. 讗诪专 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉, and 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉 said, 转讜拽驻讜 砖诇 讬讜住祝, the greatness of 讬讜住祝, in other words, the greatness of 讬讜住祝 overcoming his 讬爪专 讛专注 concerning the wife of 驻讜讟讬驻专 when she wanted him to have relations with her, and he did not want to and he overcame his 讬爪专 讛专注, so his greatness, 注谞讜讜转谞讜转讜 砖诇 讘讜注讝, concerning 讘讜注讝, if you compare that to 讘讜注讝, 注谞讜讜转, and as 专砖状讬 explains, that 转讜拽祝 is something very strong, 注谞讜讜转 is something quiet that no one knows. What he's saying is that if we compare what 讬讜住祝 did to what 讘讜注讝 did, it was nothing, because what 讘讜注讝 did was much greater than what 讬讜住祝 did. In other words, if you compare what 讘讜注讝 did to what 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖 did, then what 讘讜注讝 did was nothing compared to what 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖 did. Why? 讚讻转讬讘, because by 讘讜注讝 it says, 讜讬讛讬 讘讞爪讬 讛诇讬诇讛, was in the middle of the night, 讜讬讞专讚 讛讗讬砖, and the man got scared, 讜讬诇驻转. This refers to the time when 专讜转 came to him at night and lay down next to him, and when he woke up and he saw a woman next to him, he got scared. And what happened? What does 讜讬诇驻转 mean? 讗诪专 专讘, 专讘 said, 砖谞注砖讛 讘砖专讜 讻专讗砖讬 诇驻转讜转, that his flesh became hard like turnip heads, and nevertheless he overcame his 讬爪专 讛专注 and he didn't do anything. And this is much more than what 讬讜住祝 did, because 讬讜住祝 was not with in one bed with her. Plus, by 讬讜住祝, she was married. In this case, 专讜转 was an unmarried woman. Plus, she was laying there next to him. And nevertheless, he overcame his 讬爪专 讛专注. And then we say, 转讜拽驻讜 砖诇 讘讜注讝 注谞讜讜转谞讜转讜 砖诇 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖, the greatness of 讘讜注讝 is nothing compared to what 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖 did. 讻讬 讚讗诪专谉, as we said before, that by 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖 it wasn't a one-time thing, it was for a long, long time that they slept in one bed, and nevertheless, he never did an 注讘讬专讛. Then the 讙诪专讗 continues,
讗诪专 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉, and 专讘讬 讬讜讞谞谉 said, 诪讗讬 讚讻转讬讘, what is meant in the 驻住讜拽 where it says, 专讘讜转 讘谞讜转 注砖讜 讞讬诇 讜讗转 注诇讬转 注诇 讻讜诇谞讛, that many daughters did a lot of greatness, but you excelled them all. What does that mean? 专讘讜转 讘谞讜转 注砖讜 讞讬诇, this part of the 驻住讜拽, 讝讛 讬讜住祝 讜讘讜注讝, that refers to the greatness of 讬讜住祝 and 讘讜注讝, the way they overcame their 讬爪专 讛专注. When it says that you were even above them, you excelled them all, like you did even a greater thing, that refers to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖, that he overcame his 讬爪专 讛专注 even in a greater way. 讗诪专 专讘 砖诪讜讗诇 讘专 谞讞诪谞讬 讗诪专 专讘讬 讬讜谞转谉, and 专讘 砖诪讜讗诇 讘专 谞讞诪谞讬 said in the name of 专讘讬 讬讜谞转谉, 诪讗讬 讚讻转讬讘, what is the meaning of the 驻住讜拽, 砖拽专 讛讞谉 讜讛讘诇 讛讬讜驻讬, that grace is false and beauty is in vain? And the 驻住讜拽 continues, 讗砖讛 讬专讗转 讛壮 讛讬讗 转转讛诇诇, a woman who fears 讛壮, she will be praised. So he says, 砖拽专 讛讞谉, 讝讛 讬讜住祝, that false is the grace, that refers to 讬讜住祝; 讜讛讘诇 讛讬讜驻讬, 讝讛 讘讜注讝, and the beauty is in vain, that refers to 讘讜注讝, that what they did wasn't that great; 讬专讗转 讛壮 讛讬讗 转转讛诇诇, the one that fears 讛壮, she should be praised, 讝讛 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖, that refers to 驻诇讟讬 讘谉 诇讬砖, what he did was even greater. 讚讘专 讗讞专, another 驻砖讟: 砖拽专 讛讞谉, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 诪砖讛, that false is the grace, that is the generation of 诪砖讛, because in the time of 诪砖讛 they 讟讗拽注 learned 转讜专讛, but not really that much; 讜讛讘诇 讛讬讜驻讬, the beauty is in vain, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 讬讛讜砖注, that is the generation of 讬讛讜砖注, they also studied 转讜专讛, but not really that much; 讬专讗转 讛壮 讛讬讗 转转讛诇诇, the one that fears 讛壮, that will be praised, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 讞讝拽讬讛, that is the generation of 讞讝拽讬讛, because in the time of 讞讝拽讬讛 they learned a lot of 转讜专讛, as it says that they used to have the candles burning in the 讘讬转 讛诪讚专砖 讘转讬 诪讚专砖讜转 in the time of 讞讝拽讬讛 till they checked from 讚谉 to 讘讗专 砖讘注 and they didn't find one 注诐 讛讗专抓, that's how much 转讜专讛 they studied. 讚讘专 讗讞专, another 驻砖讟: 砖拽专 讛讞谉, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 诪砖讛 讜讬讛讜砖注, that first part of the 驻住讜拽, that false is the grace, that refers to the generation of 诪砖讛 and 讬讛讜砖注; 讜讛讘诇 讛讬讜驻讬, that beauty is in vain, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 讞讝拽讬讛, even refers to the generation of 讞讝拽讬讛, that is also not that great; 讬专讗转 讛壮 讛讬讗 转转讛诇诇, when the 驻住讜拽 says the one that fears 讛壮 will be praised, 讝讛 讚讜专讜 砖诇 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 讘专讘讬 讗诇注讗讬, that refers to the generation of 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 讘专讘讬 讗诇注讗讬. Why? That's how poor they were, that six people together had to use one garment, 讜注讜住拽讬谉 讘转讜专讛, nevertheless they learned 转讜专讛. So that is the greatest thing, and therefore when the 驻住讜拽 says 讬专讗转 讛壮 讛讬讗 转转讛诇诇, that refers to the generation of 专讘讬 讬讛讜讚讛 讘专讘讬 讗诇注讗讬.
Concerning what you learned earlier in the 讙诪专讗 that when they sent to tell 讬谞讗讬 讛诪诇讱 that his slave killed somebody, and he sent his slave to the 讞讻诪讬诐 to be judged, to stand trial, and then they said to him, you should also come, because 讬讘讗 讘注诇 讛砖讜专 讜讬注诪讜讚 注诇 砖讜专讜, since you are his master, you have to stand here while he is standing trial. So the 诪讛专砖状讗 asks a 拽砖讬讗: why didn't he save himself from doing it by freeing his slave? If he would have freed his slave, then the slave would have stood trial by himself and he wouldn't have to come. So the 诪讛专砖状讗 says, because maybe he liked his slave very much and he didn't want him to get killed, so therefore 诇讻转讞讬诇讛 he sent him not freeing him, hoping that since he is the slave of the king, out of fear of the king they wouldn't kill him. But later on, when they called him to come, he came, and he still didn't free him because he did not want to free him, he wanted to save him. And the 诪讛专砖状讗 says, as we 讟讗拽注 see from 讬讜住讬驻讜谉, that this slave was 讛讜专讚讜住, and the king wanted to save him. And therefore he did everything that they shouldn't judge him in order to save him, but he didn't want to free him. Also, when 砖诪注讜谉 讘谉 砖讟讞 said to 讬谞讗讬, "Stand up and you should know that you will not stand in front of us, but you are standing 诇驻谞讬 诪讬 砖讗诪专 讜讛讬讛 讛注讜诇诐," so the 诪讛专砖状讗 says: why did he use the 诇砖讜谉 that you are standing in front of the One that said and created the world? Why didn't he say you are standing in front of 讛砖诐? Because really it's based on the So he should have said, "You are standing in front of 讗诇拽讬诐," or another similar 诇砖讜谉. Why did he say you are standing in front of the One that said and created the world? So the 诪讛专砖状讗 says they picked this 诇砖讜谉 because we know that 讛注讜诇诐 拽讬讬诐 注诇 讛讚讬谉. It says in 驻专拽讬 讗讘讜转 that the world exists on 讚讬谉, on judgment. And that's what he said, that 讛砖诐, who said and created the world and He wants the world to exist, and how does the world exist is through a proper 讚讬谉, and that's what he said to him, "We want to have a proper 讚讬谉, and therefore stand up and we will make a proper 讚讬谉, and then the world will have its existence that the way 讛砖诐 wants it. And that's why they used the 诇砖讜谉 that you should stand 诇驻谞讬 诪讬 砖讗诪专 讜讛讬讛 讛注讜诇诐." Concerning what the 讙诪专讗 said, that 讻诇 讛诪诇诪讚 讘谉 讞讘讬专讜 转讜专讛, if you teach your friend's son 转讜专讛, 诪注诇讛 注诇讬讜 讛讻转讜讘 讻讗讬诇讜 讬诇讚讜, the 转讜专讛 considered it as if you gave birth to that child. So the
It is not just that the 转讜专讛 considered it as if you gave birth to him as a 讚讘专 讞讬爪讜谞讬, as a superficial thing, but since the 转讜专讛 says it, obviously it has to be true. Now, the truth behind it is as follows. We know that the punishment for not learning 转讜专讛 is as the 驻住讜拽 says: 讚讘专 讛砖诐 讘讝讛, that you embarrass the words of 讛砖诐, 讛讻专转 转讻专转, you get cut off, which means that your life is taken away from you, because the life of a 讬讬讚 is 转讜专讛, as we say, 讻讬 讛诐 讞讬讬谞讜, this is our life. And therefore, the 讙诪专讗 says in 讘专讻讜转 that if a 讬讬讚 stays away from 转讜专讛, it's like a fish that is 驻专讬砖 诪谉 讛讬诐, it goes away from the water. Just like a fish cannot live without water, a 讬讬讚 cannot live without 转讜专讛. So really, 转讜专讛 gives the life. So when you teach somebody 转讜专讛, what you do is you make sure that he will not die, but he will continue living. We also know the famous 转讜专讛 of the 讘注诇 砖诐 讟讜讘, that it is not as people think, that 讛砖诐 created the world once and then the world continues to exist by itself. But he says that 讘讻诇 专讙注 讜专讙注, every second, 讛砖诐 has to constantly renew the life that He gives into the world. As the 驻住讜拽 says: 诇注讜诇诐 讛砖诐 讚讘专讱 谞爪讘 讘砖诪讬诐, forever Your words, 讛砖诐, stand in 砖诪讬诐. And it means that the words that 讛砖诐 said, 讬讛讬 专拽讬注, in order for the 砖诪讬诐 to be created, constantly the 讚讘专 讛砖诐, the words of 讛砖诐 of the 注砖专讛 诪讗诪专讜转 have to be there to create the world, to continue creating. If 讛砖诐 would, for one second, stop continuing the 注砖专讛 诪讗诪专讜转 that He said to create the world, the world would stop existing. So it's not only that the world exists now because 讛砖诐 had once created it, but 讛砖诐, every second, creates the world over and over again. And therefore, it's understood if a person does something to help somebody live and not die, so not only is he causing him not to die, but actually he is causing him to be recreated all over again. Because if he would have died, he wouldn't have been created again. Now that he doesn't die and he continues living, so it's not only a 砖诇讬诇讛, a negative thing, that he doesn't die, but since 讛砖诐 creates the world every second, so what he does is he makes it that he should be recreated again. While if a person dies, then he stops being recreated. But if a person continues living, then he is recreated again. So it comes out, since 转讜专讛 gives the life to the person, so it comes out what you do is you make that this person should be recreated again. So therefore, when you teach somebody 转讜专讛 and you extend his life, it is not only that you are doing an 注谞讬谉 砖诇讬诇讛, meaning you are making it so that he should not die, but what you do is you make it so that he should be created again. So you are the cause for his rebirth, so to speak. And that's the 驻砖讟: 讻诇 讛诪诇诪讚 讗转 讘谉 讞讘讬专讜 转讜专讛 诪注诇讛 注诇讬讜 讛讻转讜讘 讻讗讬诇讜 讬诇讚讜, every time you learn with him So you cause, and more and more, that he should be recreated again. So it's as if you gave birth to him, just like a father who gives birth to a child, he brings his existence into the world, so too, when you teach him 转讜专讛, you bring his existence into the world. Not only do you cause that his existence shouldn't stop to continue, but since every second a person and everything else in the world is recreated, what you really do is you cause that he should be recreated again, so it's as if you gave birth to this child. It is
also interesting to note that when the 讙诪专讗 says that 讻诇 讛诪讙讚诇 讬转讜诐 讘转讜讱 讘讬转讜, anybody who raises an orphan in his house, 诪注诇讛 注诇讬讜 讛讻转讜讘 讻讗讬诇讜 讬诇讚讜, the 转讜专讛 considers it as if he gave birth to the child, so the 诪讛专砖状讗 says that this is 诇讗讜 讚讜讜拽讗 an orphan, because in the 诪注砖讬诐, in the 专讗讬讜转 that the 讙诪专讗 brings here, they were not orphans, they were not 讬转讜诪讬诐. Another 驻砖讟 the 诪讛专砖状讗 says that maybe they actually were 讬转讜诪讬诐, and he says in the case of 专讜转 and 讘讜注讝, where it says that they said that a child was born to 谞注诪讬, even though the child was born to 专讜转, but since 谞注诪讬 raised the child, it's considered as if 谞注诪讬 gave birth to the child, in that case, really the child was a 讬转讜诐, because as it says in 诪讚专砖 that 讘讜注讝 died right away. So when the child was born, he had no father, so therefore the child was a 讬转讜诐. So this is a case of a 讬转讜诐 being raised by somebody else. Also in the case of 讘转讬讛 讘转 驻专注讛 raising 诪砖讛, it also similar to a 讬转讜诐, even though 诪砖讛 专讘讬谞讜 wasn't a 讬转讜诐, because his father and mother, 注诪专诐 and 讬讜讻讘讚, were alive then, but since they were afraid to tell her who the parents were, so he is considered like a 讬转讜诐. And also in the other 专讗讬讛, which is concerning 讬讜住祝, so as the 诪讛专砖状讗 says that 讬讜住祝 supported the 讬讬讚谉 then, not only while 讬注拽讘 was alive, but he also supported them after 讬注拽讘 passed away, so he supported them when they were 讬转讜诪讬诐 already. So here we see how all the 专讗讬讜转 that the 讙诪专讗 brings to this 注谞讬谉, that if you raise a child in your house, it's as if you gave birth to that child, they are all concerning 讬转讜诪讬诐. So according to this 驻砖讟, could be it's only concerning a 讬转讜诐, but according to the first 驻砖讟, even if it's not a 讬转讜诐, if you raise a child in your house, it is considered as if you gave birth to that child.
