Now that we are celebrating the 120th birthday of the רבי on י״א ניסן, what's on the mind of every חסיד is he wants to make החלטות of doing things that will give the רבי נחת רוח. And if we want to call it, we'll call it מתנות as the רבי said מתנות to the רבי in honor of his birthday. So I think, and it's for sure, that probably the most important thing that we have to do is to see what we could do to strengthen the התקשרות to the רבי. And we know that one of the things, and probably the most important thing in התקשרות to the רבי, is learning the רבי'ס תורה. We know that it says צדיקים דומים לבוראם. צדיקים are similar to their creator, to the אויבערשטער. And by the אויבערשטער, we know the greatest התקשרות you could get to the אויבערשטער כביכול is through תורה. And the reason, it says, is because the אויבערשטער put himself into the תורה. The first word of עשרת הדברות, which is basically the first word of מתן תורה, is אנכי. And אנכי the גמרא says is a ראשי תיבות אנא נפשי כתבית יהבית. I wrote myself in and gave myself in into the תורה. And since צדיקים דומים לבוראם, צדיקים also put themselves into the תורה. And therefore, when you learn תורה of the רבי, you really connect to the רבי. Now I know for sure that whatever I'm going to say now is not going to be new. Every חסיד knows all the details about the importance of learning the רבי'ס תורה. But nevertheless, it's important from time to time, especially time like this, to review it, to talk about it. There's a ווארט from the פריערדיקער רבי, and I think in the name of the בעל שם טוב, where he says on the פסוק אבדה האמונה ונכרתה מפיהם. The אמונה was lost, and it's taken out of their mouth. Now, פשוט פשט is there's both expressions is the same thing: you lost the אמונה, and you don't talk about it. But the בעל שם טוב says that the פשט is אבדה האמונה, why is the אמונה lost? Because ונכרתה מפיהם, because you don't talk about it, it's taken out of your mouth. So even if it's something that you know, we all have אמונה, we know, nevertheless, you have to talk about it, because if you don't talk about it, even the reason is because it's so simple and you know about it, and therefore there's no reason to talk about it, it's still important to talk about it to refresh your memory and to refresh yourself and to strengthen it. And therefore, when it comes to talking about the importance of learning רבי'ס תורה, for sure, even though everyone knows about it, but nevertheless, it's important to talk about it. And at times like this, it's important for everybody to take a החלטה to strengthen their learning in the רבי'ס תורה. And this is especially important after ג׳ תמוז. We know the ווארט that the רבי רש״ב said בשעת הסתלקות: איך גיי אין הימל און די כתבים לאז איך אייך. I'm going to heaven, and the כתבים, my manuscripts, I'm leaving to you. And the רבי asked an obvious קשיא: why did he have to say that? What's obvious, he's not taking the manuscripts up to him with himself to שמים, so it's obvious he's leaving it down here. So the רבי says that what the רבי רש״ב meant that, \"איך גיי אין הימל, I'm טאקע leaving, going to the הימל, leaving this world, so ממילא it would seem that our connection is not going to be so strong anymore.\" So he's saying, \"No, אבער די כתבים לאז איך אייך, I'm leaving my כתבים, my מאמרים, my manuscripts, I'm leaving to you, and ממילא I'm not really leaving. The connection is still there.\" So therefore, after ג׳ תמוז, when we don't see the רבי physically, so the real way to have the connection is through learning the רבי'ס תורה. That's the way we strengthen our התקשרות, is through learning the רבי'ס תורה, because the רבי put himself into his תורה. And even though there are other things that we do that the רבי wanted us to do, nevertheless, it seems like that the main way of איך גיי אין הימל and it should not be that he's leaving us is through the כתבים, through the learning תורה. And it's self-understood, because we learn in תניא that the greatest יחוד, the greatest union that could be between two things, is when a person understands in his brain an idea of somebody else. There it talks about תורה. The greatest יחוד there could be in anything is when a ייד learns תורה of the אויבערשטער. And since the אויבערשטער is in the תורה, your brain becomes one with the תורה, which automatically becomes one with the אויבערשטער. And that's a יחוד that there is no other יחוד. יחוד means התקשרות, connection. Same thing when you learn the רבי'ס תורה. When you learn the רבי'ס תורה, you get connected to the רבי in such a way that nothing else in the world could connect you so much like learning the רבי'ס תורה. And therefore, it's very important that we want to make החלטות, and we want to give the רבי a מתנה for י״א ניסן, especially this year of 120 years, which is a very special milestone. So the most important thing is that we should make our החלטות בנוגע learning the רבי'ס תורה. And learning the רבי'ס תורה includes all the ספרים of the רבי, and it includes the מאמרים, and it includes לקוטי שיחות, and it includes the שיחות קודש, the תורת מנחם which is a לשון קודש version that's worked on in the שיחות of the רבי, the אגרות of the רבי, the רשימות of the רבי. The רבי is in it all, and we have to strengthen our way of doing it to be מרבה in learning the רבי'ס תורה. And that will be the real התקשרות that we have to the רבי, and it'll give the רבי the biggest נחת רוח. But we also have to remember that besides the ענין of התקשרות that we have when we learn the רבי'ס תורה, learning the רבי'ס תורה has something very, very special, not only because of the התקשרות which is the most important part, but the רבי'ס תורה is so so, that it gives a certain insights in things which otherwise we wouldn't know. אודאי what the רבי says is all based on חסידות, but the way the רבי brings it down in a way that that we could relate to it. He takes the same ענינים that in חסידות, but in חסידות it talks about with ספירות עליונות and it talks about these ענינים of כתר and עתיק and all the different עולמות, the רבי takes these ענינים and brings it down to us. So if you learn the רבי'ס תורה, you have a complete, different outlook on everything: a different outlook on וועלט, in השקפה of וועלט, a different outlook on תורה, a different outlook on אהבת ישראל, a different outlook on אמונה. It strengthens your אמונה in a way that you could understand what understand what אמונה is, which we could relate to it even though it's ענין רוחני. I just want to say a story, but I once met, I was in a plane and I met a יונגערמאן, not a ליובאוויטשער, חסידישע יונגערמאן from a different חסידות, not a ליובאוויטשער. And he told me that till כ\"ז אדר when the רבי had a stroke, for the last few years before that he would come to 770 every day, or sometimes twice a day, to מנחה-מעריב or to שחרית, in order to look at the רבי's face. And he told me, \"I did not become a ליובאוויטשער חסיד, I never wrote to the רבי, but I came to look at the רבי's face.\" I asked him, \"Why?\" \"To show הכרת הטוב.\" הכרת הטוב for what? And this is what he told me: When he was already an עלטערער בחור, in those circles עלטערער בחור doesn't mean very old, but when he was already a בחור of age, certain ספיקות started coming into his mind, ספיקות of אמונה, ענינים of אידישקייט, and it wasn't going in the right direction. He was very afraid where it's going to lead to. Then he got married, and the ספיקות continued. He said, till one day he was sitting in שול, and it was time between מנחה-מעריב, and they were waiting, so people just looked into ספרים. There was a ספר on the table, he picked up the ספר, happened to be לקוטי שיחות. Okay, לקוטי שיחות from ליובאוויטשער רבי, he opened it up waiting for מעריב. And he started reading there and he saw that the רבי discusses one of the questions in אמונה that he had. So he started reading it, and he said he never saw anything like it, the way it's explained, it ממש saved him. And what happened further? He started looking more, he started learning more לקוטי שיחות. He says he never saw any ספר that should discuss it in such a way, the אמיתית'דיקע ענינים, but in a way that we could understand it, and it relates to me. And he says, \"פשוט, the רבי'ס ספרים saved my life,\" he says. And he's a real פרום חסידישע יונגערמאן. This is what you get from the רבי'ס תורה: a different outlook. You see in תורה what a איד is. If you look at the רבי'ס תורה, you see how we're supposed to look at a איד. We say always אהבת ישראל, אהבת ישראל, a איד, נשמה, but the way the רבי explains it, the concept of a איד, and the נשמה of a איד, and the specialty of a איד, you will not get it anywhere else. It comes טאקע from חסידות, the רבי didn't make up things. It's all based on from previous, from the בעל שם טוב, from חסידות, from all the רביים, but the way the רבי put it down, it's something that you don't have before. The same thing in looking at how we look at the truth of תורה. You only see it in the רבי'ס תורה. The דיוקים that the רבי makes, and every word in תורה is אמת, every little thing means something. When you have a few פירושים on one word, there is a meaning to it. Everything, the הוה אמינא in תורה is also תורה. This is something that before that people weren't so מדייק in it. The רבי, you see from the רבי why, it's all based on one thing: because in the רבי'ס תורה you see the אמת'קייט of תורה. And therefore, if it's אמת, it has to be אמת through and through from beginning to end. ממילא and you learn that out from the רבי'ס תורה. And that we take from the רבי'ס תורה, like I said before, even more than we take from חסידות, because חסידות is the שורש, but this is the way the same thing in the שורש relates to us. Just to give an example: In תניא and in other מאמרים we always learn about the מאמר חז\"ל, the עיקר כוונה is נתאוה הקדוש ברוך הוא להיות לו דירה בתחתונים. It's there, it's true, and we learn it, we know. But in the רבי'ס שיחות, that is brought down in such a way that it explains to us the real meaning of it, and every second שיחה is connected to this ענין, and the רבי explains this to us not in such high lofty ways, even though he doesn't goes goes into that, too, but he brings it down very close to us. So when the רבי quoted the זוהר, where it says in the זוהר that in the on the פסוק where it says that בשנת שש מאות שנה לחיי נח, when נח was 600 years old, then the ארובות השמים, the the מעיינות, the the מעיינות, the wells from springs from down here started coming up, and the windows in heaven started opening and came down. So it says in זוהר this refers that in the year תר of the אלף השישי of this 1,000, this millennium, the חכמה will start חכמה דלתתא, the things that come לתתא, which is חכמות חיצוניות, the חכמה of science, להבדיל, and the חכמה דלעילא will open up and there will be a new level in the חכמה. And the רבי explains this means the גילוי החסידות. And once the רבי said it goes even in the ענין of נגלה, the גילוי in נגלה, a new way of learning which you connect it to the ראגאטשאווער, etc. But I think we could say בנוגע the רבי'ס תורה. The The רבי even in נגלה what the רבי did, he brings out new מושגים, new ענינים in תורה, and when you learn the רבי'ס שיחות, you become a למדן in נגלה. You become a משכיל in חסידות, you become a מבין in these ענינים. I know for myself, a lot of the שיעורים that I give in ישיבה in נגלה, a lot of it is based on יסודות of the רבי'ס תורה. Even in different ענינים, cause the רבי brought out new יסודות. That's what one of the פשטים in this ענין that the ארובות השמים נפתחו, the windows of heaven opened up, that we have a deeper light in תורה. This is the אור חדש that the רבי brought. So the bottom line, we have to get back to the point. The point is that when it comes י\\"א ניסן, especially this year, every year has to be like that, every day has to be, every year י\\"א ניסן, but this year י\\"א ניסן, which is special miles special milestone, we have to remember that what we have to do is make a החלטה to learn more of the רבי'ס תורה in whichever way, whether you learn it directly the שיחות. Now there are so many ספרים which are collections of the רבי'ס תורה on different subject. So when we have a subject of רפואה, there are ספרים on רפואה all take from the רבי'ס שיחות. Any subject we have. So if we take from the רבי'ס תורה, so we get the real look at the things, and the main thing is this is מקשר us to the רבי, and it gives the רבי נחת רוח. And the רבי is משפיע to us. We know it says בנוגע We said צדיקים דומים לבוראם. צדיקים are like דער אייבערשטער. We know that לגבי דער אייבערשטער, לגבי תורה with דער אייבערשטער it says, כל הקורא ושונה, anybody who learns, הקדוש ברוך הוא קורא ושונה כנגדו. דער אייבערשטער learns with him. דער אייבערשטער You always no such thing as without a חברותא. If you learn תורה, דער אייבערשטער who is the one in the תורה learns with you. צדיקים דומים לבוראם, so we could say that when you learn the רבי'ס תורה, the רבי is learning with you. So imagine, learning the רבי'ס תורה, you have a חברותא. דער אייבערשטער אודאי is learning with you because you're learning תורה, but at the same time the רבי is your חברותא. He's קורא ושונה כנגדו like דער אייבערשטער, because צדיקים דומים לבוראם. So there is nothing greater than that. So we should keep that in mind, that together with all the other החלטות that we make, which we should make about מבצעים and about making מוסדות, the greatest things which are important, which gives the רבי the greatest נחת רוח, we have to keep in mind that on top of the list is making up to learn more of the רבי'ס תורה, and that will give us the greatest התקשרות. And it strengthens not only our התקשרות, it makes the רבי'ס התקשרות to us, which is there always anyway, but it makes it more בגילוי. And this will be the last thing that we'll have to do in this זמן הגלות, and from here we will go to the גאולה השלימה בקרוב ממש.
