when the 讘讬转 讛诪拽讚砖 will be rebuilt, the revelation will come back and in a much higher level. So there's certain, so those tzadikim that gave dates for the coming of Mashiach, to them, for their neshamah, actually the revelation of Mashiach actually took place. So they weren't lying in that way too. Plus, they just mentioned an auspicious time. Now, I just want to go back to the other parts of this halacha, when he speaks about Eliyahu Hanavi. He says Eliyahu Hanavi is not going to come to make 讟讛讜专 讟诪讗, he's not going to make 讻砖专 or 驻住讜诇, that's not his job. The purpose of coming to the world will be to bring peace to the world, that's all. Now, it doesn't mean that Eliyahu Hanavi is not going to answer halacha questions. Eliyahu Hanavi will be the greatest teacher. He will answer all the halacha questions that we have. And as you mentioned, we know that it's better when the Gemara has a question, it has no answer, the Gemara always says tiku. Tiku means it stays that way, as a question. But the sefarim say the word tiku is an abbreviation of 转砖讘讬 讬转专抓 拽讜砖讬讜转 讜讗讬讘注讬讜转. Tishbi, which is Eliyahu Hanavi is called Tishbi, he is going to answer all the questions. He'll be the one that will be 诪讘砖专, he will notify that Mashiach has come. Right, he'll come before. The argument is only how close to Mashiach, right before Mashiach or a little bit earlier. But he will come. But he will answer halacha questions. He will, but that's not going to be the function of him coming before Mashiach. He is a great scholar. He
will not answer the questions as a 谞讘讬讗. He is Eliyahu Hanavi, he's a prophet. He will not answer these questions because he's such a great prophet. The din is, there's 讛诇讻讛 转讜专讛 诇讗 讘砖诪讬诐 讛讬讗, the Torah is not in Heaven. A prophet has no right to answer a halacha question with prophecy. No one could say that I was revealed from Heaven that the halacha in this and this 砖讗诇讛 is so-and-so. We can't accept it. We know the famous story in the Gemara when there was a big argument with Rabbi Eliezer, called 转谞讜专 注讻谞讗讬, about a certain oven whether it's 讟诪讗 or 讟讛讜专, and Rabbi Eliezer claimed one way, and the 讞讻诪讬诐 argued. And we know that according to 讛诇讻讛, 讬讞讬讚 讜专讘讬诐 讛诇讻讛 讻专讘讬诐, the halacha is always like the majority, and the halacha was like them. And he wants to show he's right. So he got up and he said, 诪谉 讛砖诪讬诐 讬讜讻讬讞讜, I want them to prove from Heaven that I'm right. 讬爪转讛 讘转 拽讜诇, a voice from Heaven came out and said, 讛诇讻讛 讻专讘讬 讗诇讬注讝专. 注诪讚 专讘讬 讬讛讜砖注 注诇 专讙诇讬讜, and Rabbi Yehoshua got up and said, 讗讬谉 诪砖讙讬讞讬谉 讘讘转 拽讜诇. We
don't care what the bat kol says. We don't care what they say from Heaven. Who's the bat kol? The voice from Heaven is from Hashem. Who gave us the Torah? Hashem. So Hashem says you're wrong! Too bad. Hashem gave us the Torah, and He gave us rules how to study it and how to pasken. And He said that one of the rules is that you have to pasken according to the way you understand down here, and you can't pasken from Heaven. 转讜专讛 诇讗 讘砖诪讬诐 讛讬讗. And we find a place where Hashem said, 谞爪讞讜谞讬 讘谞讬 谞爪讞讜谞讬, you won. There's a a story in Gemara where they had an argument between Hashem and the 诪转讬讘转讗 讚专拽讬注讗, in the Heavenly yeshiva, and they didn't know how to pask
