PESACHIM (IYUN)
A Gemara sugya on the halachos of chametz discovered in the house on Yom Tov – why it must be covered with a utensil rather than burned immediately, when burning becomes permitted, and the Tosafos dispute over chametz that was never nullified.
Pesachim 5b — Iyun
PESACHIM (IYUN)
A Beitzah sugya on whether the Torah's permission for food preparation on Yom Tov (ochel nefesh) is a reason or a formal category, contrasting Beit Hillel and Beit Shammai's readings of 'mitoch,' and Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Yishmael's dispute over how the heter is classified.
Pesachim 6a — Iyun
PESACHIM (IYUN)
A short Gemara sugya on bringing a dugma and the status of a bar chiyuva, the Avnei Nezer's machloket on the chametz question, and Abaye and Rava's dispute over what it means to possess the חפץ.
